      @@Arisafari77 Just steam it gently after you shred the cauliflower. I steam it in the microwave until it reaches the consistency I need. I like al dente rice, so mine is generally between 3 and 6 minutes, depending on the size of the batch I'm making. The time will vary based on your microwave's wattage, but my rule of thumb is to test it once per 90 seconds after the first 2 minutes. Hope this helps.

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I wash and prep all produce the day I get home from the store so it's stored in the fridge clean. I wash everything, lay out large kitchen towels on the counter, air dry for an hour or so then refrigerate. This way, when you grate it it's dry. If you don't use this method, simply grate it, transfer it to a kitchen towel and ring it out like I do with the zucchini in this video: th-cam.com/video/PfURDuBLdVo/w-d-xo.html

    hello,there !
    I have a question: doesn't it get watery when freezed? does it keep its consistency?

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vegetables like cauliflower do hood a lot of water do when you thaw them, they will have excess moisture. You can place it on a kitchen towel and ring it out. Or sometimes, depending what you’re cooking, the excess moisture is helpful

    Oh my gosh LOL I made cauliflower for the first time last night and I was like there has to be an easier way to get the bottom half off with all the green stuff I was pulling it off Leaf by leaf and it was hard to pull off then I watch your video and you sliced it right down the middle and it was so much easier to cut it off why didn't I think of that that was brilliant I was really frustrated last night I haven't even got halfway through your video and I'm already thankful for this video 😂

    I want to mix with already cooked rice . Do I not need to cook the processed cauliflower before mixing with rice ? Or can I mix the processed cauliflower with cold cooked rice before put it in the microwave? Please kindly help me out. Thanks

      @MOMables  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Riced Cauliflower doesn’t take very long to cook. Maybe heat it in the microwave with a little water to soften it first, add the cold rice, heat everything through.

    Thank you for sharing this, do you have to wash it before blending?

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A Lot of them come pre washed. Always a good idea if it’s not wrapped.

    So do you have a video about rinsing and drying it too?

    • @MOMables
      @MOMables  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wash the cauliflower head whole or as florets, before ricing it. I use a kitchen towel to dry it. It's a better / quicker process.

    You can trim the leaves, virtually same as kale or spinach
