If you have 12, I suggest waiting for regular 16 next year, especially if the battery is making it for you. It likely have Wi-Fi 6E/7 and much bigger chip upgrade.
There is always going to be something better around the corner lol, and we wouldn't know concrete details about the 16 this early. Leaks aren't always right, and considering people usually hold onto their phones for around 3 years, I absolutely would recommend just getting the 15. It's a solid device as is.
@@SaranByte Sure that's true, 15 is a big upgrade from 12, but if we can wait 1 more (or even 2) year to get much better phone than 15 for same price then why not? This also can cut down e-waste by not buying something that we don't really need Forgot to mention 8GB of RAM as well
I don't understand this WAIT until..... Whenever a phone is 3 years or older no matter what ppl like to say tech has empoved greatly as have the iPhone since the 12 if it were me I would NOT wait another FULL year life is way to short enjoy it ppl.
Again you need to remember that leaks can be false lol, it's not confirmed we're getting 8GB yet. Ofc if you can comfortably wait for a future model then by all means keep waiting, but what if their current phone doesn't meet their requirements? It's not really e-waste when their current phone just isn't cutting it, so absolutely upgrade when you need to, regardless of what's around the corner.
Been using my 12 for 3years and I’m impressed with it’s battery health, it’s still at 91% and still can use like it was still brand new more than 6hours of screen on time
Two weeks ago, I had to replace my iPhone 12 Pro Max with the iPhone 15 Pro. Despite having large hands, the Max felt a bit too bulky, and I’m really enjoying the more compact size of the Pro. There are a few distinctions between them, but they wouldn’t make a significant difference for the typical user. I’m particularly fond of the Dynamic Island, the new side button referred to as the Action button, and the inclusion of a new USB-C charger.
Myself and wife have opposite experience. The difference seems blatantly obvious as far as being snappier, how much better the camera is, and its other features. 12 was feeling old and slow. But it’s like all iPhone upgrades for nearly a decade now, after a week you don’t feel like you have a new phone again and feels the same ha
@@Mottboxi changed because I have a 14 for work + my personal 12 and couldn’t believe how slow it was …. Changed it for a 15 and it’s snappy the way I wanted
I have an iPhone 12 got it for Christmas and I’m not thinking about upgrading at all I’m just watching this video to see the comparison between the 2 phones
Good comparison, thanks. The iPhone 6 (my first iPhone) lasted me from March 2015, until I got the 11pro. I'm contemplating moving up from the 11 when the 16 arrives.
Have been seriously considering buying the 15 even before they even gave details on it. Majorly because of the overheating problem on my 12. Thank you for this video, super well put together, professionally produced! Subbed, wishing you get more attention to your channel! 🧡

So the iPhone 16 has launched with 60 Hz display & no fast charging, I’ll still hold to my 3.5 year old iPhone 12 with 83% battery health i.e 5.5 hrs of screen time on full charge.
Good afternoon from New York City 12:41 PM Thursday, September 28th I still got my iPhone 12 pro max I love it. You're looking good, my friend. You have a wonderful day, gobless.
im on 12 its getting heaaaaps slow and laggy legit starts heating up heaps with few apps open, soon as i use something with maps yikes crazy slow, probs HAVE to upgrade battery barely charges to 90% without some alert
Idk how I feel about the dynamic island. I have an iPhone 12 Pro max. Just not really sure I want to upgrade. May just wait another year maybe 2. Haven’t had any issues with my phone personally. I don’t use a lot of the features tbh. Not really a gamer.
Interesting how you say there’s not much difference in speakers but when you demo it, the 15 is noticeably louder than the 12 even with cupped hands. I just got the 15, had the 12. The louder speakers are definitely noticeable
I just upgraded and so did my wife and the upgrade is major, not minor. It’s extremely obvious and noticeable how much snappier the performance is, how much better the camera is and its other features. 12 was starting to feel like a very old slower phone.
My iPad has lightning, as well as my EarPod and EarPod pro 2… as well as my old iPhone 12 mini… so yeah I’m fine with a lightning. I bought a 14PM this time, I’ll grab the 16 next year.
Just subscribed! Thanks for this incredible review, it was everything I wanted to know before my upgrade! Excited to try out the 15 starting this week!
Colors and matt finish doesn’t matter when 99% users will use case anyway. Higher brightness is cool but in sunlight it will get hot pretty fast and dim anyway xD Camera.. I really hate flare effect on my 12 mini but it still exist on 15.. I think 12 pro > 15 (standard). Best way to go is 13 pro for 120hz display.
Not sure how you're claiming a 12 Pro is a better buy than the 15 when it doesn't have a 48MP main with auto portraits, Cinematic Video, Smart HDR 5, Dynamic Island, USB C etc. It's a MUCH better phone lol Not to mention a big problem with the iPhone 12 series in general is battery life, which is the 15 excels at (I'm getting 7-8 hours of SOT). I can agree with you on the 13 Pro, that's a good buy for sure if you're on a budget. But the 12 -> 15 undoubtedly is a huge upgrade, I've used the 15 outdoors and it doesn't overheat at all at high brightness in my experience. The flare effect has also been reduced on the 15s, though yes I wish they got rid of it completely. Either way though, you shouldn't dismiss it imo, from the iPhone 12 mini it'll be a massive jump up.
@@SaranByte Late answer but saying 13 pro is a budget option is kinda weird :D it’s still a premium phone. Anyway I’m still good with my 12 mini (my first iPhone). Fast, compact, durable. iOS tho has some problems like glitches in some apps/sites and stacked notifications are killing performance (also on Apple Watch).
If you have the 12 pro max go for the 16 pro max the 15 is a big change but that's 1st Gen usbc is having problems and other small but little annoyances 15pro max less durable on Jerry rig. SKIP 15 if you can go for next year
my iphone 12 is doing horrible battery life is terrible and back glass is cracked cell service is very slow in school ima ask my dad for a new phone on my birthday next year
I saw your other comment regarding this but not sure which wallpaper you're referring to lol - if it's the 15's wallpaper in the video, download the Backdrops app and search for the 'Sugar Rush' wallpaper.
