Absolutely. The Phantom is great for ground and pound. If you're good at the game you can even dogfight with it.
I remember this mission from Infinity. Infinity was such a great game.

@@saturnascension imagine you destroy the same place twice just because that place have important role for the war supply 😂
From now i can just give Pipeline Destruction Mission a nickname "Troublemaker from Nowhere" because the place just do what they must for their own military supply while also being the easy target for enemy squadron.

I dont like this mission. I feel 5 minutes to get 17,000 points (normal) isn't a lot of time. I've tried going after the jets first since they yield a decent amount of points and it didn't work. I tried gaining points through turn over on ground targets with unguided rockets and that didn't work either.
Free falling bombs (UGB) work best on this mission. The Su-47 and YF-23 both have them while also being good dog fighters.
A-10 also does fine with them. And when you destroy one fuel tank, most in the vicinity explode as well, so don't waste your ammo on targets which are close together
5 mins isnt alot of time.....ace combat infinity wants to know your location
Like Skyline said, you can blow up one fuel tank and cause the others to explode. For a cheaper jet, you can get the F15E with the SFFS and just drop from high altitudes.
Go with the F-15 E and its ground payload. I got to 17,000 points in 3 minutes
A lot of clumped together targets that give you a shit load of points due to chain explosions.

Actually the Thunderbolt uses the GAU-8 30mm Avenger

@@MalleusSemperVictor yep and the lift to remove the GAU-8 for servicing "works everytime, 70% of the time" as it says on the lift. It was one heavy gun. -122nd Blacksnakes

UGB works very well with all those clustered targets. Or is your problem in the second half with the storm?
@@SkylineGTRFreak Use the A10 with rockets use the gun as explosions destroy nearby buildings...
I used the Gripen with LACM (Land Attack Cruise Missile) and used guns on fuel tanks.
The fuel tanks act like small UGBs and kill things close to them when they blow up.
And if the second part where you chase trucks in the sandstorm is giving you trouble, just fly low to avoid the drones, and keep the radar at one of the larger views so you can keep an idea of where they all are

Shit, this mission felt easier than Lifeline in Ace Combat 04. Lifeline had a shit load of targets spread apart. This was a shit load of targets clumped together lol.
