An easy guide through 2 parts, and just 1 simple strategy to beat this level on hard difficulty. This is my guide to getting you through those numbers, pointing out the best targets and showing you the secrets of the levels programming on this map.

yeah raptors are beautiful birds, me, I'm still obsessed with C17 III Globemasters. Such beautiful wings and top mounted but with jets and the ability to do a short range 90 degree takeoff!!!@@darkassassin1605

an easy trick i use is when I'm on the truck part I go above the cloud to advoide the storm and find the target go there and keep switching targets to lock on the truck and as soon as I destroy one I I press tiangle/ y to switch it to the next truck
People had trouble with this? It wasnt hard for me using the a10-c. Only hard part for me was trying to find all the trucks without crashing into the ground everytime

Mission 8 in "hard, isn't really that hard. I finished it on my first try, my second, third, fourth, etc.

@@Matthew_Percival I get close to the last one or two oil trucks & end up getting shot from the sky .
i am using the F-2A is that one good enough for this mission and a year later i am still on mission 8 this mission sucks they should get rid of the time
Just done mission 6 & 7 now I am stuck on the escaping oil trucks on this section 😠
i still did not beat this mission 😡😢
still on mission 8 this is why to much the time is getting in my way

I stopped playing Ace Combat after the PS2 era. I did because timed missions were added. I did however try out Ace Combat Assault Horizon on PS3 & it a downgrade from previous titles. I absolutely hated the time sensitive missions & complete elimination of allowing the player to exit the map & re-arm.
I bought this title a few days ago because the price dropped to $19.99. Considering that it just came out last yr, I knew the game likely sold poorly since the price dropped so much. Again lol, MORE TIMED MISSIONS. I can't even enjoy the missions without having to immediately complete the quest as quickly as possible in this particular title which is absolutely stupid. Mission 6 was a hard one & mission 7 was not only illogical, but very difficult. Idk why the devs thought it'd be awesome to have the player constantly fired on by drones while you're in a freaking sand storm trying to locate 20 fuel trucks which in itself is difficult. Allied CPU is the worst I've ever experienced in an Ace Combat game. They're literally no help. Only managing to down 3 planes/drones or less & it seems that no land targets are ever destroyed by the CPU.
Great graphics & finely tuned physics but the same problems exist from the previous titles & it's 20x worst in this particular game. Can't even exit the map without failing. The timed missions are incredibly tightly constrained as you have to start attacking as soon as the mission starts. Checked the sales & I wasn't surprised to see that the game hasn't sold well. It has it's fan base like COD but on a much smaller scale of course. Honestly, I wish I hadn't spent $20 on this.
