I didn't know where to start first.
I fr almost audibly moaned seeing 800 + targets
Good thing most are oil tanks, hit one and it dominos to the other building next to it.
Playing this with the A-10 is the best way to hype someone into playing this game. The mission excels in an atmosphere of domination.
my father (40, he essentially grew up with it) LOVES the A-10. When I get this game I'm going for that aircraft for him

A-10 and Su-34: "Oh yeah, it's all coming together."
HOW TO BEAT THAT MISSION: As plane you should use the A-10. If you don't have the money to buy one, play older missions to earn money. Then you should equip the A-10 with the special weapon "4 Target Air-to-Ground-Missile" (4 AGM). That thing is so powerful, it feels a little bit like cheating. ;D Make sure to save up at least 20 of those 4 AGM in the first part of the mission when you destroy the harbour.
After the cut scene, you don't need to fly low to look out for trucks. Just fly normally around and wait until the targets pop up on the radar map. Then fly in that areas. Lock on, then descend and attack. Use the 4 AGM to blow them up. You can blow up 3 trucks with one strike and the rockets nearly never miss. Worked for me like a charme. I even had plenty of mission time left when I had finished. ;)
Just use the f35 with 8AGM

Tip: you can get more money by playing multiplayer even if you get last place
I use the F22A with the XSDB. Works well, along with the super speed of the F22

But that's what I love about Ace Combat 7, despite it being more challenging, it's far more rewarding to be honest

You need to listen to Bandog and others, they tell you to be fast and not worry about aerial enemies. Focus on the ground target. I kept switching radar sizes to see the points of interest but I also kept an eye on where the swarms of aerials were so I can just fly to empty areas while my teammates kept them busy. They bothered me far less than having to try to take down the trucks WHILE trying to dodge 100 missiles.Keep listening to radio. I thought I can play this game laid back and chill while listening to podcasts but the game demands your attention, it gets intense! I love it
This mission is more of a love n hate relationship. As soon as the sandstorm starts, i instantly hate this mission. Its the ost htat keep me going back to ac7
I hate that part of this mission, but the OST for that part (Three of a Kind), sounds like 'Aquila' from AC04, my favourite track in the series.

then, imagine gravity trying to make your brain drown in blood while doing that. throwing up would be at least some experience for us mortals
just got to this level using the a10. the first bit was a breeze, the second one is hell. trying to find where all the trucks are in a split second gap while enemy uavs are shooting 100 missles a second at you while you only have 5 flares, i try to dodge the missles but end up losing where the trucks place is. I got so mad after 10 or so attempts i closed ace combat 7, realized i had to start the mission ALL over now, i hope whoever made this mission, their pillow is warm on both sides, they are always late to work, and their cereal is soggy
Whoever decided the player should have to fly up a tanker's tailpipe to find it, while the tankers are in cracks in the ground, while dealing with zero visibility conditions, while dealing with constant missile locks, while having no idea where the tankers are, while dealing with the game hijacking control of your plane and slamming it into the ground nose-first, should have two things done to them:
1. Force them to beat the mission on the hardest difficulty _and_ get an S rank, with no restarting from the checkpoint.
2. Have someone give them a stern re-training lecture on proper mission design and player agency.
This mission never should have made it into the game in its current state based on how godawful it is to actually play.
I agree with you some of the wind and weather effects really need some reworking

In a standard missile-only lobby, I was getting trashed by a team of Rafale M's. Any tips for standard-only lobbies and fighting those kinds of planes? Setup ideas?

Can you only do high-G turns, post-stall maneuvers & barrel rolls on EXPERT controls?
I'm not sure about high-G turns, but PSM and even some basic maneuvers like barrel rolls require the expert controls to work, yeah.
@@NerfedFalcon I'm not sure if platform changes anything but all 3 can be done on standard control on PC. Barrel roll is significantly difficult as the plan always try to level itself, but doable.

I was replaying this mission throughout last week and finally cleared the map with the F-22, homing bombs and picking off oil facilities

Is this the 1st time a talking character in the cutscenes actually mentioned/talked about the Playable Character(PC) in ace combat history
Challenge is one thing, but this mission is so tedious, just makes you quit the game. Not the first time I get stuck on a mission in a game, but this is one of those times where I just dont feel like picking up a controller after failing this mission a few times. Feels like a chore that you absolutely hate to do, but have to.
U just suck noob. I passed the mission on the 4th time and I'm pretty bad at this game

@@samopostam Trust me this is an easy mission, there will be much harder mission than this.One I can think of is the mission where u have to pass through a narrow valley dodging searchlight. No matter how slow i went i still crashed. Few pointers i can give about this mission is
1. Take out as many trucks u can before the storm or atleast know their position on the map
2. Don't bother chasing the uavs unless u have a clear shot. Time is very limited in this mission
3. U will have to rely heavily on the mini map and switch between the maps to pinpoint the location.
4. For ur loadout I would recommend a long distance ground target missile. Once u get a lock on fire away cause u will lose the target.
5. Sometimes u will see roads. If u go along the path u might find a truck but only do it if u saw a blink on the mini map.

Damn, why didn't I focus to get the Su-34? I was busy dicking around with the Su-33 and the fighter lineup because I want the Su-37. But seeing how effective the Payback (Su-34) in this mission is, I'm kinda pissed not prioritising it. By the way, I did this mission with the Su-33 with an anti-ship missile.

Yes, fly the A-10 and equip it with the special weapon "4 Target Air-to-Ground Missile". The mission will be easy with that but don't waste them all on the harbour, save up some for the trucks.
Failed twice with 19/20 trucks, i fucking hate this level

the funnest level in the whole game; you just blow shit up!
Also the most frustrating mission in the whole game: finding and destroying 20 trucks while your radar is being messed up by a mega sandstorm and trying to dodge missiles from drones while focusing on finding the trucks.

Every plane in the game from the su series can do that maneuver
The su34 is a varient of the su30 series..... its got the canards, thrust vectoring nozzles(on the latest versions?) And a wider body for a sidexside seating......so all things considered its just a fatter su30/37
