I am so pleased to see the transformation in Edinburgh this early in the season. A superb set of players, as good as anywhere in the URC. It's a long season, it will be fascinating to see if they continue to evolve and develop in a tough championship.
This was a banger of a match. Bulls looked like they could win it right to the end. They honestly deserved the losing bonus, but fair play to Healy snatching it away with a superb kick to finish the game.
Congrats to Edinburgh… The scoreboard shows you won. Bulls started well and then released the pressure. All I can say about the difference between the red cards@ The Tv / Ref ‘ s kant
Cracker of a match 👏 great to see Edinburgh playing so well. Albeit against a 14 man squad. Ben Healey is always going to be a massive loss to us Irish 😢
Ben Healy is a good club player but it was the right decision to move nation to push himself on. Unfortunately ,he doesn't seem like the player that will ever reach the heights to be world class whenever I've seen him in big games. I maybe wrong in longterm but I doubt it
@alanfox6454 I'm not going to say your wrong, but I definitely don't agree with you. Ben Healy has 3 major things in his favour. Massive talent, age on his side and a lot of potential. I hope he goes on to be Soctland's first choice out half and drives them to new heights.
@@conoromelia8435 he could prove me wrong and fair dues to the man if he does. A world class 10 is not easy to find and ive not seen enough in his game currently to carry the ball hard to the line, control a game consistently and unlock defences in big games. He may grow and become a much better player but like I said world class are hard found and I'm sure Ireland wouldn't have let him go if he possessed something special
No consistency refereeing, Schoeman direct head contact with high degree of danger last week and yellow card with no bend in the hips. I don't even think referees know whats a yellow and a red.
It's a but all over the shop after the WC. Nigel Owens suggested cards should be called by the ref with help from the bunker...if its a clear red it should be called. If there is doubt it should be reviewed. As always we had to go to the extreme end of the spectrum during WC (why didn't they test it earlier), to get to soke sort of middle ground by 6n.
Same with football, VAR is a shambles. Games are too slow in both sports now waiting on decisions for every part of the game upstairs. It is benefiting the heavier packs and 6 2 splits bench for recovery time due to every decision going upstairs.
Yeah. URC yt editing team should definitely go for an editing course or something. The quality does not match the quality of the rugby. You need to be better
If it's always only a yellow then these incidents will happen more often. If they happen more often, good sides will lose best players not to reds but to injuries during games. And the potential then is the same. Main players targeted, not sufficient punishment, people stop watching. Reds are also an incentive NOT to target opposite side's playmakers and pretend they are just high hit mistakes.
It's about player safety. We now know head knocks have repercussions in later life. The laws need to take this in to account. I would ban all upright tackles. It's the same for both teams. Majority of head damage come from upright tackles - player safety is paramount!!
@@johanstephanvermaak2025 Surely it is about both tacklers and tackled, the rules are trying to reduce long term injuries to all players. Head knocks are bad news and true implications are not seen until later in life. I played rugby many years ago, but the impact of these massive professional players on each other no way compares with what we experienced at club rugby in the late 60s and 70s. I personally would ban all upright tackles, whether cause head injuries or not. No one deserves head issues later in life. Upright tackles are the prime cause of these injuries.
That red was bullshit. The call was per the law and the ref did a good job. But if a short player runs at you head first bent so fat at the hips his belly is almost touching the ground, then it's on the attacker, especially when the tackler is bent at the hp. World rugby should really have a look at this rule, maybe put some common sense into it.
Another rubbish card. Shoulder charge? WOW! Basically a rugby incidents with no foul intent. Attacking players going in low is becoming a trend and will only get worse. So much for player safety and curbing head injuries. These directives are a farce.

@@jackbyrne4911😂😂😂 they were indeed, not a great performance from Edinburgh in the early part of the game but got the job done 👍

Alright Louw doing the classic Duane Vermeulen style towards the end.

What was DvdM doing with that big dive into the corner when there was nobody near him?! 😂
😂😂 He was essentially tackling himself.

Not really since he was behind about 4 other players in the pecking order.
URC highlights belong in Kruger national park, they are effin’ wild
The inconsistency with application of direct head contact rule is killing rugby.
Getting better Embra. A lot more positives to take from tonight. Keep up the momentum and I'm sure I'll enjoy my trip to Clermont 👍

Yeah the WC was horrendous for inconsistencies
Edinburgh 16 was on fire.
Why can't we see last 3 points please
What a fine game of rugby we were treated to in the first half. Then what a perfect example of how cards ruin games in the second half.

Extremely poor quality highlights, if compared to the Premiership's or Top14's ones.
