Such a stunning part of the country, cool video, reminds me of my camp, laying on the greenery by the rocks ,looking over at opposite hills, you do such chilled relaxing camps 👌, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
Hi and thanks for watching Glad you like the spot It’s really hard to find even from above so no worries, I only (as do most now) mention the location of a spot, if it is so obvious in the video or a well known spot Cheers Adrian
Beautiful scenery, all you need is a sketch book and some water colours and capture your memories. Perfect spot to spend the night, relaxing with your coffee. Enjoy the fishing with your son.
well you did well to get some good weather up there, i ve been to thrunton woods to those crags a few time and had a picnic but never imagine camping there, the weather has always stopped us, there is a warden who goes round to to stop people putting tents up as thats forestry land, guess lots of people get away with it though.
Hi and thanks for watching, I find it best (as most do now) not to mention locations of spots, if you have a minimal set up and make and leave no mess it’s not normally a problem The north east is cold and windy but surprisingly dry I find Cheers Adrian
@northumberlandmountainhopper tell me about it, I gave up smoking 12 year ago, I save my tab money religiously and it all gets spent on gear, I have a shop lo
Loved this, Just spent a night in the woods with the boy. I gave him a choice Ground sleep or hammock. He chose a hammock I slept on the floor on my new Kilos gear air mattress. He slept like a log and loved it. I however didn’t. Worst nights sleep I’ve had outdoors. Your sleep system looks a lot comfier. Any chance I can have a list of your best and most comfortable. I love a hammock and tarp but wanted to use tarp and bevy bag but can’t seem to find a happy medium been a side sleeper.
Hi and thanks for watching Glad you enjoyed it What I use is the Alpkit foam mat, mainly to preserve my air mat and secondly to smooth out hard stems etc Then I have my Exped mat inside my bivy bag, I find the vertical chambers suit me as I too sleep on my side, And a sleeping bag of choice also in the bivy Cheapest and most reliable is an ex army bivy but heavy then the Alpkit Hunka in X/L size I will mention I always buy the mat in long and wide so I never come off it, You can have the Exped straight on top of the foam mat then the bivy and s/bag ‘‘this gives more wriggle room But I am 6’4” and manage fine with the Exped in the bivy bag Cheers Adrian
Hi Dave, thanks for watching, yes last night, freezing it was, and up at st Abbs tonight is even colder it’s mad !!! And blowing a gale, can see me enjoying the forest come the Autumn less wind and warmer Cheers Adrian
Beautiful location...'The Eagles Nest' would be a good name for that place especially with those views. Good multi-use of kit too. Thank you for sharing. Hope you and yur son have a great fishing trip. Stay well, stay safe, Helen and Katarin Juska-Law, Stella and Terri with Robyn.
Great vid once again. I had a tarp tent set up this week, on the coast, no bivvy, lots of condensation though. It's great you take Bella with you too. Thanks again.
Hi and thanks for watching, can’t beat a tarp, any tent with a thick tarp will be wet, there is so much room though you don’t have to touch the sides Cheers Adrian
