Another relaxing adventure, Adrian. Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us all.
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoy the trips
Cheers Adrian
Thanks for the video. Great views of the Cheviot. Brings back memories from my youth.
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you liked it, one of my favourite view points
Cheers Adrian
Ah, Adrian, nothing better than a MH57 video to remind me of the appeal of Northumberland from my current location of sunny Cyprus!
Hi Graham, thanks for watching, are you saying you prefer our very cold windy camp weather ?
Enjoy your hols
Cheers Adrian
Another very enjoyable tarp & bivvy video. Thank you. I was impressed with your water monitor too, looks like a worthwhile investment. All the best, Roo
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
There is a video on the water monitor, where I discovered my sawyer has failed,
Cheers Adrian
Like to see photos of the repairs. Handy to know about this stuff
Hi and thanks for watching
I will show when it’s back they have already said they don’t have the same blue. But sent pictures of the blue they do have, so they seem to want to do their best
Cheers Adrian
Cracking spot Adrian, a lovely part of the Cheviots. Always a nice chilled out vid from you, the way camping should be. That filter meter is a cracking idea, just to double check what you’re actually drinking! I’m shocked about your sleeping bag , a lesson learned there, I certainly won’t be hanging mine out to dry lol. Cheers fella, Atb Dave.
Hi Dave, thanks for watching,
Yes it’s a great area of the Cheviots probably one of my favourites, did you see the video on the water tester I must check, handy bit of kit, but that pure clear is the best, results speak,
Keep your bag off a hot line for sure, Rab repair not cheap but hopefully spot on
Cheers Adrian
I could've done with that midge jacket earlier in the summer!...What a great spot for a tarp and bivvy, if I'm not outside, your videos fulfil the yearn....another great video!
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoy the videos
Midge jacket great for the price I think it was £17
Cheers Adrian
Great Video
Shows that the old fashioned washing line, not plastic coated still has a place.
Have you tried using Bungees all round to secure the tarp?
Hi mick, yes the old string line, and the pegs grip better !!!!
Lesson learned and payed for,
Bungees ? No but I have considered some elastic shock cord,
May try it, only benifit I feel would be tear prevention, it would still blow
Cheers Adrian
It's looks absolutely beautiful. Wish I was there. Stunning countryside.
Hi and thanks for watching, it’s a magic area, and peaceful
Cheers Adrian
Wonderful views great photography.thanks as ever.
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoy the videos, I only use my phone !!!
Cheers Adrian
Another relaxing adventure. Hope your sleeping bag comes back well repaired and you can sort out a safer way to give it an airing. Looking forward to your multi day hikes. All the best Pete ⛺️👍
Hi Pete thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
Rab should do a good job it’s priced high over the back of a chair from now on !!
Cheers Adrian
Nice one Adrian 👍
Hi and thanks for watching
Cheers Adrian
you made the right choice to stay low Adrian.i was at 501 mtrs & it was blowing hard this morning.no doubt you'll have tent back out for winter ⛺👍
Hi and thanks for watching, I am hoping to bivy through the cold months, I managed last year, I will have to check last winters videos, trouble is I feel the cold so much,
A tent can’t compare when you can be more in the outdoors with the bivy , Does it make sense !!!
Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopperdefinitely makes sense . as long as your warm & dry why not enjoy the amazing winter views .
Have you tried the pyramid tarp setup? Super strong in high winds. Thanks for showing/sharing about the clothes line 👍. Great video & pitch.
Hi and thanks for watching, no not set up as a tent but I have used it similar with one pole and 4 lines ( the other week, I did this)
It still flaps a lot, mind tents are noisy as well,
Plastic when hot and sleeping bag cover !!!!! Expensive error !!!
Cheers Adrian
Enjoyed that Adrian. Don’t think you were far off our camp location on Saturday night. The wind on Saturday was a nightmare 💨
Hi Dave
Glad you enjoyed it
I could see your hill from mine, is the old tree still on the top of the hill
Wind equals no midge so not complaining
Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper not much left of that tree now. Bit random how it came to be there.
Great video to watch whilst having my tea.
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoy them
Cheers Adrian
wonderful views
Hi and thanks for watching,
Glad you enjoyed it
Cheers Adrian
Try a tarp tent Adrian solid as a rock and still have the views cracking camp mate i'll be glad when the midges are gone atvb jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Hi Jimmy, thanks for watching, I may try one on a top, but you only see out of one side, I think the star configuration is near enough wind proof it just flaps !! I may give it another go
No midges this time, windy and they knew I had the jacket !!
Cheers Adrian
Hoggs of Fife, is near me.
Hi and thanks for watching, it’s the best bug jacket I could find
Cheers Adrian
Great vid and what a lush spot 😊
Hi and thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it,
It’s a magic pitch for sure, no good for a tent, have or do you use a bivy ?
Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper yeah I use a hooped bivy and dd tarps. I need to get back out in it because its lush
@@nightsinthewild great I am sure you can work out the spot
Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper yeah I know where you were but woulndt have thought to look without your vid tbh
Hi Adrian, enjoyable video as always.
Is that the DD Tarp S you are using?
Thanks.
Hi and thanks for watching
Glad you enjoyed it
Yes it’s the dd super light tarp s
Cheers Adrian
Had never heard of the Cheviots until viewing your videos; now I can’t get enough of it.
Hi and thanks for watching, unspoiled part of the UK and sparse population so you can seek out a quiet spot
Mind it’s cold and windy up here !!!
Cheers Adrian
Hey Adrian, I'm working my way through the backlog of videos. You've sparked my desire to try bivy camping. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I remember tent camping where I had to abandon as I just couldn't get warm after being out taking photos - it can creep up on you. thanks for sharing. Steven
Hi Steven, thanks for watching, hope you enjoy the videos, watched a fair few of yours for sure,
As for Tarps just get stuck in, pick a sheltered spot first, or a very small tarp for your head end if camped up high,
Practice makes perfect
Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper cheers Adrian if you ever fancy a camp let me know
Wish I was in America like you camping the uk is so dangerous with animals that eat you
Hi and thanks for watching,
I am in the UK are you in the states
Would not fancy bears around my camp !!
Cheers Adrian
Great video as usual. Greetings from a hot and humid Oman.
Hi and thanks for watching, from afar
Glad you enjoy the video
Cheers Adrian
Oh well, another ignorant person that doesn't realise the pain and suffering the birds go through for your down..
Hi and thanks for watching, fair comment, apart from this old bag,I now only buy Down gear that is ethically sourced I.e. Rab same as we buy free range eggs and sort out the best treated English meat
So I do try, but down far beats synthetic insulation
What’s your view on ethical down the down should be a by product.
Cheers Adrian
RAB has been involved with the Responsible Down Standard for a long time and only uses RDS sourced down.
