    As a Sol player, its nice to see Mocchi struggle with Ky at times.
    I really dont know how to approach Ky or when his pressure ends.

      The thing about Ky is that none of his pressure is real. The only time he's plus is after 6k, a move that's rarely used, after Foudre Arc while you're in Shock State, which is like +4, and HSE if it gets blocked. Everything else is just negative block strings or staggers, you almost always have a way out, especially if the Ky mistimes his button presess.
      The only other times Ky is plus is when he uses his specials while in Dragon Install, but it's hardly worth using because you're almost dead when you can activate it. Most Kys would rather use that meter for RC.
      As for approaching Ky, his normals aren't disjointed, you can actually counter-poke him quite well depending on which character you're using. If he spams fireball you can always air-dash into block in case he DPs, otherwise just dash-block, you'll eventually get close enough to hit him.

      @@TheGuyNamedHenryG i dont know if they comment is on a certain patch, but c.S is plus and its what our pressure relies on. c.S - 6K is a frametrap, then 5K - 5H is also a frametrape. c.S - 5D is another frametrap. Also, our close slash is dash cancellable, meaning we get a whole lot of grab pressure and things like okizemes, meatys, and safejumps

      - c.S is +1
      - 5K is up to +8 when hit as a meaty and is safe from reversals, and he basically have it for free from every grab, HKD and WB with supers or WA, and frametraps into both 6K and 6H, while being *the* tick throw button.
      - j.S, j.H and *especially* j.D are all plus when near the ground
      - IAD aerials are plus enough for a counter 2D to beat even mashing
      - f.S has the *entire blade* becoming disjointed and isn't active until it hits so you can counterpoke only with *fat* normals or when it's retreating
      - 2S is disjointed at the tip
      - 5H and 6H have the entire sword disjointed
      - 2H is disjointed at the tip of its maximum height
      - j.D is entirelly disjointed, counts as a projectile and launch on normal hit for a full combo.
      And most of these things were from Season 2.
      I don't know where you got those information, but they are pretty outdated. To approach Ky you have two ways: baiting his slower attacks and advance while they whiff, or being a speedster. The guy has a terryfic control over both ground and sky.

      88 rrc. He did 2 jump inputs quickly before he did the rrc so it sent him upwards. You can do this with other directions too, if you do 2 side movement inputs and then rc you'll move in that direction, very useful for combos

    Churara is shying away from using stun edge. I would use everything to a sol cos f that cheapassed unga bunga
    You can also just slap back his pressure & momentum by trapping him with timed vapor thrusts. Like what this Sol does to him. Just return the favor

    Why is mocchi blocking at 8:27 is he pitying his opponent? Like yes ik the ky is way worse than mocchi but still, you could at least do S volcanic viper since stun edge loses to dp.

      There no pity in this match, they're both good. Churara is a very solid Ky. You wouldn't hold a candle to them or me in this game.

      @@skycomrade4608 then why was mocchi blocking there? A dp would hit the ky. There's no reason to block except to pity the ky player. The ky player had no reason to bait dp so mocchi wouldn't get baited. Blocking ky HS stun edge gives ky his win condition (nearly permanently plus 20 on everything). You must dp or have a 90% chance of losing the match.
      Mocchi is extremely good at sol. Way better than Churara is at ky. Mocchi won way more matches in this video so that says everything right there.

      @@TheExiled112 CSE dosen't lose to DP unless you're really really close. He went for the safer option and just waited out the pressure. It's a question of risk vs reward, if the DP hit you break out of the pressure and reset to neutral with a little damage, if it fails becouse he was slightly too far away then he explodes.
      If he blocks he takes a bit of chip damage and Ky gets a free turn. Ky's not exactly a mix machine so while it's still a dangerous spot to be, there's a going to be a better opening.

      @@notthatplease DP is invul. The only thing that beats dp are grabs. Not even reversal supers can beat dp. Projectiles don't have special properties to bypass invul from dp. So CSE would always lose to dp. It should. Same with baiken air tatami oki and i no's oki.
      Ky is a strike/throw character with decent mix. Even just decent mix is almost unchallengeable when his opponent has been applied with stun. You can't even dp his pressure anymore since he'll see a dp coming a mile away and grab you since he's plus 20 or 15 or something. He becomes outrageously plus. Applying stun is ky's win condition. It can nearly be permanent since after a combo he'll spam projectiles in the air which apply stun and i think extend the time of stun even on block.
      Stun prevents any kind punish on ky. When you're against a strike/throw character, the last thing you want is for them to build plus frames. Which is why sol pressure can be hard to deal with. Now imagine if he was plus 15? Fafnir makes him plus 11 and guard crushes which he can do mix that you'll never see coming.
      Stun forces you to never block otherwise he'll just have his pressure looped for eternity. Until he hits you and TOD's you because he cranked up the risc gauge. That's also why stun is soo broken.
      Ky's who use dragon install are literally throwing since they lose those plus frames. They instead just get new combo routes and nothing much more. Looks cool though.

      @TheRealistMF you're pretty wrong about most of that honestly. DP is invul in the start up but the question is if Ky was standing close enough to get hit by it. Shock state isn't nearly as important as you think it is, he's negative on pretty much everything and those air fireballs have as much risk as a DP. They're counter hit recovery all the way down and then some.
      Dragon install isn't actually bad any more. Stun dipper gives you a hard knock down, 214k is always plus and he moves as fast as Millia does. That's not even mentioning the eye watering amount of chip damage.
