Looks like things are coming along nicely. When I build my display bases, I tend to cover the wood with either foamcore board or cork board since they're usually somewhat less expensive and more readily available from craft/DIY stores.
thanks for the next part in your y-wing build. can't wait to see more. looking really good the direction and concept you're going with. There was something I noticed which I feel is not correct proportionately.. and it has nothing to do with your model, actually, but the y-wing reference you showed at about 8:00 from the Star Wars movie.. I think Lucas, or ILM, screwed up on the proportion.. the Y-Wing's left engine "nacelle", the one that is closer towards us.. don't you think it looks a little too far forward on the y-wing?.. it's just about in line with the cockpit.. I believe it should be further back.. I know, knit picking a great movie, but you have to admit a lot of the cool stuff in Star Wars are in the details.. there are other goof ups I noticed fairly recently since I started more serious building SW kits & playing some of the recent video games.. but, I may address those in another more related video. great job, excited to see your finished build of this kit and the diorama you're putting it in.
Excellent use of the Ground Equipment Set. Very nice.
This is coming together very nicely! I am anxious to see the final results!!
Great build Oggie.
Outstanding work!!!
