This isn't actually the Ancient Greek Pronunciation (aka Reconstructed Pronunciation), this is Erasmian. They're two different things. Although it's beautiful!

There are some mistakes in her attempt to reconstruct classical pronunciation, but I can tell she's a native modern Greek speaker by her accent and pronunciation of the S sound. Plus, her phenotype is common in Greece and all over the Mediterranean.

I also noticed some differences in the accents. Right in the beginning, she pronounces δεινότερον πέλει as if it were "δεινοτερóν πελεῖ". These changes go on every now and then in the recited excerpt. In spite of this, I still think it is nice that Antient Greek receive more attention.

Για το Δ ως /d/ ισχύει. Το Χ και το Θ, όμως, δεν ηχούσαν απλώς ως /κ/ και /τ/, αλλά ως ΔΑΣΕΑ /κ/ και /τ/, δηλαδή συνοδευόμενα από έντονη εκπνοή. Και το Φ παρομοίως: ως /π/ δασύ. Αυτός είναι και ο λόγος που οι Ρωμαίοι έγραφαν π.χ. philosophia και όχι filosofia.

@@Tubolagnos όλα αυτά ως υπόθεση. Στην πραγματικότητα δεν έχει αποδειχθεί τίποτα... και αν ακολουθήσεις κατά γράμμα αυτήν την προφορά καταλήγεις σε ακουστικό έκτρωμα. Μην ξεχνάμε πως οι ξένοι πολλές φορές αλλάζουν ότι ελληνικό τους πέφτει βαρύ στην γλώσσα, για παράδειγμα οι Άγγλοι δυσκολεύονται με το "γάμμα" και το προφέρουν "τζ", τη μορφολογία την προφέρουν "μορφόλοτζι", αυτό σημαίνει ότι η σωστή νεοελληνική προφορά του "γάμμα" είναι "τζ"; Κάτι παρόμοιο συνέβη και με τους Λατίνους που εσφαλμένα μετέτρεψαν ελληνικά γράμματα, για παράδειγμα το "υπόκαυστον" τους έπεσε βαρύ, αυτό το "υπό- καφστ- ον και το πρόφεραν υποκά- ου - στουμ. Οπότε μην θεωρήτε ότι οι ξένοι έχουν πάντα δίκαιο...

The only incorrect things about it are that she fails to distinguish between aspirates and non-aspirated consonants, and occasionally pronounces ύψιλον as iota instead of ü. She also makes no attempt at pitch accent or at pronouncing the dipthongized ω or α with the tail underneath it. Otherwise, the best attempt I've heard at a reconstructed Attic pronunciation by a native Greek, apart from Ioannis Stratakis of course who has yet to be surpassed.
