Little Easter egg: every time Grisha was able to see Zeke, Eren was behind him. Grisha was not actually able to see Zeke himself. In reality, he could only see Zeke through Eren's memories.
Every time Grisha looked as if he was interacting with any of them, he could only figure where they were or what they were doing or saying because he remembered, through Eren.

The Attack titan does *NOT* get future memories the same way other titans get past memories. The Attack Titan gets past memories the same way as the other titans. The reason the Attack Titan can see memories of the future is because EREN sends the memories to the past. Right now as he is in contact with royal blood (Zeke) he is actively sending memories from the future to every past Attack Titan that needs them. Hence why Eren Kruger tells Grisha, "The Attack Titan has always sought out freedom". The Attack Titan doesn't just have some weird obsession with freedom engrained into it, Eren Jaeger has the weird obsession. He then passes that obsession down to all the past Attack Titans.
ALSO, in the OVA, the titan thought Ilse was the Jaw Titan Ymir, NOT Ymir Fritz. That titan was originally in Jaw Ymir's cult as a human, and Ilse had a similar look to Jaw Titan Ymir. The titan simply mistook Ilse as Jaw Ymir, not Ymir Fritz.

Tells me that eren did show grisha the rest of the future and therefore past eren ( the one after s3 ending ) should know the future briefly. Eren goes into the "past" and gives people memories whenever he needs them to progress towards his ultimate goal, whether it be him giving memories to his past self or past Attack Titans. He can only give memories to the past when in contact with royal blood, hence why he only gets snippets of memories until he actually comes into contact with royal blood. He also very frequently gives memories of the past to himself throughout the show, some examples are, when he saves Mikasa and Armin from the cannon shot in season one, he shows himself how to transform into a titan. When he's fighting Reiner for the first time in season 2 and remembers what Annie taught him, etc.
And since Eren was the last Attack Titan holder, then the attack titan has always been projected by the last holder's wish.

Too lazy to put it in my own words so quoting a comment from a another video, but this is why Grisha was able to see Zeke:
“The Attack Titan's ability is to receive the memories of its future heirs. This was hinted at when Kruger mentioned Mikasa and Armin towards the end of S3.
In fact, Eren saw his future when he touched Historia's hand. Note that they can only see these memories, but cannot interact with them. So how could Eren meddle in the past? Well, he had 3 perfect conditions:
1. he Had Attack Titan ability 2. Founder Titan ability with access to coordinate 3. he was also in contact with someone with royal blood, too known as Zeke.
After Zeke touched Eren's head, they were able to see Grisha's past memories with Eren using the power of coordinates. They could freely see the past. Now if Eren had another Titan other than the Attack Titan, he could just watch. But since the Attack Titan can see forward in time, Grisha can use this to see Eren's memories of the same event he is currently experiencing in real time. It’s also why shirtless Eren was looking into the mirror in his prison cell back then and angrily telling his own reflection to fight. He was sending his future self/or future Grisha the image of his reflection in the mirror as a reminder to not pussy out and to follow through with the plan.

I always thought that "I was born in this world" quote is childish or too narrow minded. Then doesn't it apply to every single person in the world? This quote only works in the context that humanity is untied and the enemy is a clear cut non-human monster.

Hell, even Eren realized that after he saw memories of the future and came to Marly and reached the realization: No one in the right, everyone is being selfish, fuled by fear and hatred and just trying to survive no mater what the consequences. Which is why this hell will never end untill someone comes along with a different mindset. It might not even work, but as long people exist and try that then this hell will be...... less hellish.

In the OVA where the titan put the dead scout in the tree... the titan was actually turned into a titan, by Marley... after being discovered to be part of a sect of heretics who revered a "false idol". That false idol was none other than Ymir herself. (The first Ymir. The one with brown hair, freckles, and turned into the jaw titan.) If you watched back Ymir's backstory, you see a female with short blonde hair who resembles the titan. This titan, because it had a strong sense of religious belief, also carried over that sense even though she was now a titan. And the dead scout that she put in the tree? It very much resembles freckled Ymir. That is why it bowed down to her and said "Lady Ymir." She fought so hard to be herself, but in the end, her insatiable hunger as a titan won out.
Attack on Titan is truly a masterpiece.

fun fact, the worm creature that sticks to ymir's back is a real life organism its called hallucigenia. that form of eren is called 'the doomsday titan' and he also resemble the organism that transforms ymir into a titan
I think one of the easiest ways to explain what happened in future memories is that as he entered the paths alongside zeke and see through Grishas memories,Eren had the perfect opportunity to send back these events as memories to the past,since the attack titan holders can see memories from future holders,we dont really know for sure how far back has Eren been sending memories and whichh ones specifically because not even he has full knowledge of everything that he will do in the future, i also believe it means the only reason they have been able to see their future memories is purely due to eren having the founding titan and ending at the paths with zeke,its like a core moment that exists in past present and future at the same time,but through the seasons weve seen some moments been shown more than once,but with extra scenes and points of views,specially Grisha at the chappel,weve seen that like 3 times,but from different points of view and with more context being uncovered,this is the first time we truly know what happened that night.

My theory about attack titan skill is that ability to forsee the future only applies ONLY to the next inheritor. It's not like all attack titan holder could forsee the future all along until it reach Eren, but only 1 inheritor at a time. So, the Owl could see Grisha's memory, but not Eren. Grisha could see Eren's memory, but not the next inheritor's memory and so on
My theory is that the attack titan needs contact with royal blood to activate this power of the future. That explains why eren was able to do all this at the exact moment he touched victoria's hand
first second of the show is basically eren waking up from a memory of the future of what will happen in the end of the first episode with his mom dying etc.

Remember mister Eren Kruger? Man that saved Grisha and gave him the attack titan saying "save Mikasa and Armin"?
Time is not linear and all the memories and consciousness of the carriers of the attack titan exist simultaneously, our Eren has influenced the carriers of the attacker since then, even before his birth, his only deep real goal is to protect Mikasa and Armin.
to make it simple for u guys, Grisha was seeing Erens memery of him and Zeke seeing Grishas memory.
The attack titan doesn't SEE the future. The attack titan can send memories BACK to previous attack titan holders, which means that attack titan holders, even those who don't have the titan yet, can receive memories from those who will have it in the future - BUT ONLY THOSE THEY DECIDE TO SEND BACK! That's why Grisha was like "why don't you show me everything & what happened to my wife?!", it's because Eren didn't actually showed him. Grisha only learned this from young Eren when he reached him. If you really wan to overthink this ability, you can not just go back to the Owl, but question even the entirety of Eldia's history and how much involvement Eren possibly had in it, including how the great titan war ended in Marley's favor and them acquiring the needed titans to fight back. Maybe he was even already able to influence Ymir herself by letting that pig escape. After all, this whole attribute of the attack titan to fight for freedom, could all be a trait of Eren who manipulated every single attack titan holder in history.
Speaking of Ymir. Since time is basically almost endless in the paths, her 2000 years in there were a literal eternity for her, billions upon billions of years of building titans. Every single transformation and recovery you see is Ymir building and rebuilding titans and their limbs by hand.
As far as the memories in the paths go. Basically, because Zeke got Eren into the memories of his father, Eren was able to send those memories back to Grisha. And since they're Eren's memories, Grisha can basically remember looking through Eren's eyes, seeing Zeke in front of him, or even himself when Eren was standing in front of Grisha when he was holding the key. That's why he was looking so shocked. Grisha was staring at the door frame, but he had the memory of looking back at himself because Eren was standing there. This means the reason why Eren was able to push Grisha to do what he did was only possible because of Zeke bringing Eren into those memories, including the chapel one. Otherwise Grisha would've not been able to murder the royal family.
And yes, the moment Eren kissed Historia's hand at the end of S3 he saw, he knew everything, including what he'd do and that it was all him all along. That's why he was looking so shocked, that's why he got so quiet in that year where he grew his hair out and why he couldn't enjoy the sea like the others. Attack on Titan is basically the villain's origin story. So when Eren gets eaten in season 1 I like to say that Eren wasn't the protagonist, which is still true, even if it turns out that he's alive. x)
I think you guys got one thing mistaken about the paths. The big light thing in the middle is not a tree, which I get the connection about ymir falling inside a tree. It's actually the connection that all subjects of ymir have. At the beginning it was only one big light, (ymir herself) then when her daughters were eating her body, it split into 3 (Maria, rose, Sina) then it multiplied over and over. Basically it represents a massive giant treeline that started from ymir, and is not the tree that ymir fell in
basically, it is intended to look like a tree. So it's okay to call it a "Tree"

It's not yet clear at this point but zekes plan wasn't just pointless it's like yelena said...in the grand scheme of things it's really noble cos as long as there are eldians there will be titans and as long as there are titans the world will never see eldians as human.
You remember willy tyburs speech, you remember grishas sister and the wicked seargeant...and remember udo (gabis friend) who said eldians are treated better in marley than abroad. Basically the hate is the least in marley.

I definitely recommend rewatching the series after completing it.
One thing I'd advise is...yeah the paths maths is a lot but literally think of it like some heavy maths and now reason that eren isn't playing around. At this point to understand what eren is thinking you can't joke anymore you have to really dig deep.
Yes eren technically made all this happen so he'd get the power but ask...why...the attack titan sees future memories and basically your memories mould you or influence you, but eren has said countless times with all seriousness that "I am free".
And yeah there are many questions answered here...like why pure titans look so shit.. yeah its cos its a kid whos building them out of sand.. she only puts effort with titan shifters.
We also know why pure titans have the compulsion to keep eating until they eat a shifter..its cos the first king made the statement eat and keep eating, anything to ensure the power passes down.
Also now we know why the attack titan is the way it is. A titan that has always sought freedom and never bowed to anyone...sound familiar? Eren doesnt have the attack titans power, the attack titan IS EREN. Throughout the ages it has been the way it was because of erens influence way down the line, keeps sending memories as needed to whoever needs them. Im pretty sure one of ymirs daughters from the very begining even saw erens memories. But then again it leads you to think if he has this seeming omnipotence and omniscience, do you think anything hes doing is just for fun or on a whim?

Using the power of the founder, Zeke and Eren were able to see Grishas memories at free rein. Since Eren was experiencing Grisha's memories, Grisha was able to see his own future

Zekes ideology is incredibly flawed. Why should the Eldians be euthanised when Marley are the ones causing trouble. Also, Zeke also believes humans will continue fighting regardless. And children would potentially be the ones to end the cycle of hate (falco etc) so why push to stop children being made
I don't think it's flawed at all. Titans are a terrifying and awful power that should not exist in the world.
His way is the most humane way to get rid of the power altogether. None of the Eldians get killed, they get to live their lives peacefully and there will be no more titan powers after they die.
