- Professor Paul Hunter said Covid will eventually be regarded as a cause of the common cold and will not warrant the reporting of daily case numbers.
The professor in medicine at the University of East Anglia, said people with Covid should be allowed to “go about their normal lives” as they would with a common cold.
New Year's Eve plans in England have been given the green light, as the government says it will not be imposing any further restrictions.

But this virus is almost not going to cause death. The sheep have been scared silly by the media believing this virus could easily cause death. I got a positive PCR test today. I'm unvaccinated, in my fifties and my symptoms are: bad headache, a bit achy, previous high temperature. No cough and no breathing issues. P.S. I also have mild asthma but only comes in spring with the tree pollen. I wasn't worried about this virus having seen the amount of fear tactics used and I'm even less worried about it now!! 🙂👍

The reason the NHS is failing and delaying treatment on those afflicted with other issues is not Omicron.
It is the response to Omicron, the *policies* surrounding it.
The response has been completely at odds with the realities on the ground.
As always, they speak of cases, not hospitalizations and deaths.
Whilst he is somewhat correct that a small percentage of a large number is still a large number, he also makes it sound as if lockdowns and restrictions prevent infection.
They don't, they delay them.
Likewise given you can be vaccinated and carry and spread it, vaccines will not stop the spread, they will however reduce hospitalizations.
If you look at hospitalizations in South Africa, they have 10,000, of which above 80 percent are on Oxygen, with the remainder being intubated.
Thats 10k out of 60 MILLION
For reference, we are a population of just over 65 million, with a better health care system.
The so-called "NHS crisis" is mostly caused by the response, AKA poor policy decisions.
Omicron is so transmissible it can't hoped to be stopped and so mild it only takes 3-4 days to fight off.
Yet we are telling people isolate 7 days (we were even saying 11-13 originally)
Change policy and you address the main issues.
Omicron is a blessing in disguise, we'll all fall ill, recover and have a our superior natural immunity after.
This isn't the apocalypse and scientists like this one are Alarmists with no thought of ANY OTHER Consequences beyond Covid.
They give not one thought on the economy, of suicides and 2 year waiting lists, caused not by Covid, but by Covid policy.

yep same here 60 not vaxed, but in winter I take daily; Vitamin D3 4000iu+, K2, C, Zinc and maybe a Zinc Ionophore like Quercetin + plenty of Exercise, Sleep and low carb diet to get back to a BMI of 25, most of us had in the 70's. Way better than a vaccine. I think may of had Omicron but only realised after i read South Africa who had it, as I only had 2-3 days of fatigue, runny nose, chills and aching a bit.

From the start of this fun fair I have been out to hundreds of different peoples homes messing with their pipes sewage included, and the only ones that I know of hospitalised are the ones vaccinated. I stipulate if they want me to wear a mask they can find someone else to do the work. It's quite funny how they "risk" their own lives to let me enter their house unmasked so they can keep warm. A couple have said they will refuse entry without a mask so I turn around and leave them to choose another to sort out their problem. The shock and horror of their faces is quite hilarious as I leave them to their own indoctrinated state of despair :) I am an unmasked unvaccinated 60 year old that has had flu so what :)

Dr Peter English- described as a former family doctor and now a consultant in public health and health protection. He has edited Vaccines in Practice since 2008. I’m sure during his time a a junior doctor in a hospital ( as most doctors) he would have been obligated to work through cold symptoms or else been under suspicion of shirking .

1. Scientists think modelling and theoretical conjecture are facts.

Omicron was like a mild cold for me. Mild headache, felt a bit fatigued, stuffy nose. Didn't stop me going about my day at home, didn't feel like death, just annoyed me more than anything.
It may be my anecdotal experience but that was my experience.

Doctor English is an executive for the doctors trade union the BMA, he hates this government whatever they do, i don’t think he goes out much either.
Peter predicts high levels of hospitalisations and deaths in January. It's quite a cowardly prediction because if he's right then he'll remind us. But if he turns out to be wrong, his prediction will be forgotten by most. If somebody remembers to reminds him of his wrong prediction he'll probably find a way to weasel out. I doubt he would apologise and say he was wrong. He'll probably just say he was being cautious rather than scaremongering.

Cases are starting to fall in Scotland and Wales. Even in England the second differential is negative. There is no need for additional measures.
As the man said, we will see the consequences in a few weeks with surging death rates. Perhaps impose some of the restrictions for a few months. Maybe the rule of six, masks indoors, closure of nightclubs, school bubbles etc, just until we have this thing under control.

We will have to live with it the price we paid (other diseases not diagnosed in time, delayed treatment for cancer patients, kids out of school for 9 months, babies born no seeing faces other than their parents for many months, suicides, domestic abuse, business destroyed, etc, etc.) is too high for the death rate we're seeing and the average age of those dying WITH COVID. Here's a crazy mad thought. Maybe the government should have looked after our NHS rather than driving it in to the ground. Then people like Peter English wouldn't be on here expecting people to stop living their lives to make up for government blunders.

People who catch a cold stay in the house. Now people run to hospitals because they think they are going to die because of all the fearmongering.
By making the NHS the National Covid Service we have put so many lives in danger from cancer heart disease etc.

The fact that this guy was struggling to provide justification for some of his objections to Jame's comments shows he does not fully accept his own position. I don't think the loss of connection at the end was an accident either. He knew was fighting a losing argument.
