Today, we're so privileged to be able to see these things from our homes. Only a decade ago you had to be a student to witness it.

You don't really see much more of the brain as a student. Difference is you have that awful scent of fixation fluid

And a decade before that, you had to be a mad scientist to witness it.
all jokes aside though, my local library had VHS tapes with this stuff on it in the 80s, so what your saying isnt true..
you could still technically see these things in your home... albeit the data wasnt as good as it is today.
and it was def harder to find, and you had to go looking for it.

The second season focuses on the Head & Neck how information from the outside world makes it into our CNS -- how we swallow and breathe (overview), how & why we can see (the orbit), how & why we taste & enjoy food (infratemporal) and superhighway nerve connectors in the skull (pterygopalatine). Hope you enjoy!

I’m studying Anatomy and Physiology I this semester. These videos are helping visualize the nervous system so much better than the models, obviously. I’ve watched other channels with human cadavers dissection, but these are far superior. I’m not a medical student, so I’d never otherwise be able to see the real internal anatomy in person. This really is the best of the Internet. Much respect to those individuals who donate their bodies to research and education. 🙏🏻
