I ordered my front splitter from ultimate motor sports before and I totally recommend getting your honda civic parts from them. Owner was super respectful and humble🤝
I’ve been an electrician for 25+ years. Electrical tape does NOT make it water proof. It sure helps, but don’t think just because some wires have electrical tape that it’s water proof. Either way this helped. Thank you so much.
@@ArmenianCwalk identified the cables like the video showed (mine was the same colour). Used a wire stripper to expose a bit of cable, soldered the cable from the turn signal to it and then wrapped it in heat shrink and elec tape after. You could also buy splice connectors but I found them to be a bit annoying personally.
I got this for my hatchback on eBay about a week ago(it was cheaper) but the guide was step by step very helpful for installation been watching the vids to help me with my hatchback keep it up dude 🫡
Brooooo. PLEASEEE do it on the Sport. I have the Hatch EX and I have the Blacked out Side Markers for months now. Haven’t put them on yet. Please make the video. Love from MARYLAND and keep up the good work
Good video and light looks good but you're far better off using a decent wire stripper that can strip in line, solder and heat shrink although you might as well cut the wire, but it's not hard to get a better finish than that wiring that's begging to short eventually and could fry lots of very expensive can bus parts. Each to their own but I can't stand taps except fuse taps lol im too OCD. Love that blue hope I can find my type r in colour and price 😊
They look amazing man, could you make a video on how to do it for the hatchback. I assume you want to also add them to the hatchback sport. That would be very helpful because I don't feel confident splicing the wires. I don't want to mess it up
I just switched out one of my markers and followed everything to the T and now the sequential turn signal isn't working. It did beforehand when I tested it right before I put on the splitter connector piece
Hey Chris i just installed these on my FK7 and the fitment seems a little different than the OEM orange ones. They seem to stick out slightly from the housing. Did you find that to be the case?
Are the white markers too bright or do the just glow? I want to get rid of the orange markers but I don't necessarily want super bright white LEDs shining out the side of the car either.
Hey Chris, does adding the side markers and escpecially splicing the wires, void your warranty? I really want to do it my car but scared that happening. Please let me know. Love you vids as always.
One of my first videos but i ended up not splicing the wires with the turn signals because i was scared. I'll do another video with splicing the wires in the future for the fk7!

Orange side marker are a requirement for all motor vehicles. Every car comes with an orange side marker from the factory to comply with this regulations, just some company’s integrate it better into their cars than others.
These side markers take on water ,my driver's side full of water ,got them to send me another set and had them professional intalled same thing take on water 💧 there crap , rains no good , i got pics and i can send a video
Giveaway winners will be announced on the next video!
Will these work with a 9th gen sport hatch that doesn’t have those same led cables
I looked through several videos to try to figure out how to do this install myself and yours was by far the best - thank you!
Chris! This was probably the most detailed video on how to install these SideMarkers! Thank you so much!

Probably the best installation guide available for these lights. Took me 2 mins to do it! You make ChrisFix proud
how did you tap into the turn signal cables? do you have to splice it open first?

Orange side markers always gotta go. Was my first mod when I got my FK7 :)
Awesome video brother!
Yessir! Also my first on my fk7 😀
Just got my side markers in. did a quick search and your vid popped up. thanks chris, for making it. Helped a bunch.
Hey Chris you should do a video of how to upgrade the speakers/sound system on the sport hatchback
I hope TH-cam is paying him a decent amount lol

I'm also in Maryland and spliced the turn signals on the sport, it's pretty much the same process. You just have to know what wire is the turn signal
I have a video on my channel for the halogen headlights! Super easy install!!
Great install vid, only thing I'll say is to unplug the marker from the coupler before removing the bulb from it. Way easier.
I'm probably one of the very few that actually love the orange side markers on the fk8 😅

Typeeeeearrrr
This is what I needed to know to install s2k side markers with that style of plug. Didn't know the bulb itself comes out. 👍
Hey Chris… thanks bud
its kinda funny, in US they get rid of orange side markers, but in Indonesia, we change the clear one, with orange
Looking good Chris! Love the sequential side markers although I'm not confident splicing the wires
he says its easy
It’s weird. My turn signal lights from lasfit are not synced with the rest of the car. I have a slight delay. Anyone have input on this??
Why does when buying online only include one connector? Should I buy another connector?
wait, how do you tap into the turn signal cables? i saw you installed the blue plastic thing, but did you splice open the cables first?
Very cool!
Thx bro done my kids today

Yes!
Love how it looks!! Is there a Front Gap on the front of the marker, like on the SUMA Performance Side Markers?
I just got the same markers and when I plugged in the side marker it doesn't turn on white but the yellow part turns on did I do something wrong?
Hey bro I have the same problem
Can you fix it?
I figured out the problem I blew the fuse
@@gilbertomejiajr1706 you change the fusil?
Fuse
You don't need to strip any wires with that splice connector. Just stick it in the same slot and clamp it.
Hey chris can you do it again with your sport hatch😁 thank you😁
Absolutely!
Does the type r have a different wiring harness for the lights? I got like 4 different plugs on my car
I just switched out one of my markers and followed everything to the T and now the sequential turn signal isn't working. It did beforehand when I tested it right before I put on the splitter connector piece

My man with cloth scissors lol 😂
lookin nice!
Do you plan on using hondata or ktuner, heard that hondata w/ the type R is the way to go
Probably hondata one day.
Do they have smoke color for this? I just search for this and your channel came of also new to this channel, I got sport hatchback will this fit?
I dont think we need to strip the wire before connecting them together because the metal bridge cut them anyways
Are there any blue side markers out there for the Civic Hatch or blue translucent paint to tint the stock side markers?
How long did it take you to install
Did you cut the green wire or no ?
How do you know what color to use?
Hey Chris, does adding the side markers and escpecially splicing the wires, void your warranty? I really want to do it my car but scared that happening. Please let me know. Love you vids as always.
Most likely no, but I would call your dealer to double check.
Loki wished u explained the splice part better
You might want to put a disclaimer to check our local laws. White side markers aren't legal everywhere
Don't need to take out any screws my guy
What happened to your FK7"s spoiler?
It was getting loose so he took it off and put the duck tail on
Can this be used on the Hatch GT? (Not sure if this model is in the US but it's the all-extra 1.5L)
It should. They’re all the same size for the coupe, hatch models.
chris.. the signal wiring socket is the middle one for the factory led headlight?
The turn signal wires on each side are both shown on the video my guy.
How do I add this to my insurance?
Hi are you a Filipino
3rd!
2nd
Hey Chris have you done it on the fk7 ?
One of my first videos but i ended up not splicing the wires with the turn signals because i was scared. I'll do another video with splicing the wires in the future for the fk7!

@@chris_timefk8 Sounds good I look forward to it.
Damn this guy does everything but drive his car?
Not just you. The factory orange is hideous. Like these alot
Does this fit on a fc1?
Yes
First?!?!?
Comical what these companies will charge for "branded" chinese parts. These are on ebay for literally $36!!!!

Do you think i can just put the wire into the hole and plugging it back in, instead of splice it
Did it work? I did that with my rear reflectors and it worked i was wonder if i could to the same with these and prevent to splice them
chris is the application of the sequential lights the same with a civic hatcback sport ?
Yes but headlight wire layout is different since sport uses halogens
