- It's wheel fitting time! My bed is on and I start to break down what it's going to take to tuck rim on reverse 15x7 Astro Surpeme wheels on my 1951 GMC project.

I have a 4x4 S10 rear end in my 54 chevy truck and have 18x9" Detroit wheel also. I widen my rear fenders by 1.5" and it work out great. I cut 1" in from the fender edge and use a shrinker & stretcher to get the 1.5" peace of steel to curve around the fender.
I actually found a local builder that narrowed his fenders with the way you described who's going to give me the pieces he removed. I wish I had a shrinker stretcher but I don't.. yet..
👍🏻🍺
Thanks! I really like these wheels.
The truck is looking great. Keep it up Dave!
I have a s10 rearend on my 51 , it is 2" narrower than the original axle. I think i may have to put tubs in my bed , i will be working it out in the next couple of weeks .
s10 rear ends, surprisingly, are quite a bit narrower than factory and F body.
