I be spinning silk 25/8 and I recently lost my beloved sky defier. She was only 6 months old and I can’t believe she’s gone. I hope to move on, but I still need some time. But the synapse 140 -170 has caught my eye. Boy is she a beauty!
This might be the step forward for me. At 72, my Quantum 2 just has a tiny bit too much beast about it for my reactions these days. Unless my eyes were deceived by the softer shape of the parafoil, it seemed a tad bit more mellow in its turns and such. I couldn't agree with you more about the quality of Prism's products. I have several. I enjoyed this clip, thanks for making it available.
Hi, yes the synapse 140 is a bit tamer than the other prism foil's & can fly well in lower wind speeds (not dragging you off your feet). Regards Moon 🪁🪁🪁
@@ukmoon hello moon, thanks for the reply. I was looking for a kite next to my hq symphony speed 2,5. I dont dare to fly that with more wind, this prism would allow me to kite with a bit more wind was the reasoning. Regards
clearly not enough wind to have the kite really rockin'... I'm lookin' at at the Prism 140 for stormy days to have a super-fast fun kite. I find the price somewhat steep although. I have the Synergy 170 which is a fun kite and can fly in a wide variety of wind conditions. With low wind it already goes o.k. and with higher wind it get's really fast.
Hi Nick, true could have done with a bit more wind that day, I have flown it many times since & in 15 to 20mph winds it's a lot of fun nearly taking me off my feet. Regards Moon.
I have the 2m, it's awesome, except the one time winds were blowing North of 60k and it scared me, even with Prism 75' tube tail slowing things down. I've since added a kite killer & bar (bar makes it easier to let go when things get too hairy) and a 100' streamer tail. Lots of fun. But I'm looking at ur 1.4m kite for those big wind days or for the kids. Tho 75' of kite line, 75' tube tail & 100' streamer, not too many parks are big enough with smooth air, around here Vancouver 🇨🇦
Hi Daniel wow flying a kite in 60kph wind's would be scary !! I have flown the synapse 140 in 40kph & that nearly took me off my feet... Stay safe & have fun. Regards Moon.
@@ukmoon ok so i bought one of these. Maybe im a spoilt Flexifoil fan but imo the line it comes with is too heavy, you can see in the video the trailing line sags a bit, i think its dyneema line and im not a fan anyway. You get a nice launch here but if you are by yourself and its windy its hard to get going and i think thats because of an over complicated bridle system. do not try this with a tail, its way to heavy and i thought that was causing vibration down the line but even with the tail off you dont get a smooth feel. I used my spectra line for less stretch to see if that helped, did a bit but this kites not for me. I will say its very quick, its like a 4ft Flexfoil from years ago but thats about it. if you havent flown another kite before youll probably love it. Im going to do a review of this myself and compare it against my little buzz. Just thought i would share my thoughts. all the best.
@@ipj1970cnty Hi there think you are correct about the heavy line, but in a strong wind say anything over 15mph the sag is not there. ive also flown it with a tube tail that i made 10 meters long and it fly's fine but you will need a strong wind, i will check out your video as soon as it is up. regards moon.

i wonder how it compares against Flexifoils Little Buzz......do you have any other kites to compare it to?

Could you install tail's onto this model ?
