This is indeed a good size for smaller and inexperienced pilots & those that just don't want to get dragged down the beach when the wind is up. The next size up, the Synapse 170 comes with a better line set. One thing to keep in mind is if you put your hand through the wrist strap it can be difficult to let go in an emergency.(especially for kids) The 140 is indeed a great value and will provide countless hours of action packed flying.
I found myself going to amazon and looking at kites all the sudden....... Strange how that worked out. I didn't get one. But, I did buy a DJI OM4 gimbal instead! haha!
I with a 200 and 140 and could fly them both without any issue. Just be careful with the 200 if there are strong winds because it definitely is more to handle. Have fun and let me know how it goes!
There is no reason to wave your arms around when steering because it has no effect on the kite. Instead, steer with both hands in front of you at shoulder width apart. Keep your arms relaxed. To steer, pull with one hand and push with the other.
Depends how big he/she is and how windy. My daughter started flying from me this size when she was about that age but I was sure to be close by to make sure she didn’t blow away. 😁

Is this kite good for a small child? Or is it too dangerous for a 6 year old ?
never flown parafoil before but I'm keen to try. Will the 200 be too ambitious or better to start with the 140?
