SPRING POST FLY BOX SLAM!! (Fly fishing the Coulee Region in the Wisconsin Driftless Region)

- This is going to be yet another Postfly Box slam! Only this time there’s a little twist! Postfly sent me over a guide box to test out! I am really proud of how this slam went and think it might be my best one yet! For those of you who know the Driftelss region, you probably have heard of the Coulee Region. These hills hide some of the most well known streams here in Wisconsin. It makes me think of names like Timber, Spring, Bohemian, and Rullands Coulee. There has been a really big push by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to repair streams and buy land access. There are really no end of good streams to fish in this area, and almost all of them parallel the road, so access is not a problem at all. One thing to note, is that on the day I went the water was crystal clear and the sky was blue bird. Oh and did I mention windy?? Holy cow, that really made me rethink my gear setup! But we made it happen in the end. For sure not the most ideal conditions but we were able to push through and get on a ton of awesome Coulee Trout! Stick around this is a really fun session!.

Reminds me of the day fishing in Dane County when I actually hooked 100 trout (did not land them all). There were 99 rainbow 9" long and one 14" brown trout. I think that the hatchery truck just left.
Doesn’t surprise me at all with that part of the country! Some crazy good fishing

@@robertwatkins7658 I just hit Blue Springs Creek today and had one of my all time best days ever!! I was gonna hit the Piney today but I figured the water would still be blown out!

@@FLYALLSZN I've been watching the water levels on the little piney all day. Was dropping pretty fast most of the day but it's slowing down now ..481cfs at 7:00 was hoping it would be around 250 tomorrow morning..if not I might hit Mill Creek.. Blue springs saves me an HR each way tho. I'll think about that.. 217-619-4434 if it's easier to txt
