Storage: not only is that internal memory faster on the Note10+ than the Note9, it's faster than the chumped out S10+, too. 😒😒😑😑 Despite this, I guess that the Note9 is a better buy for now...however, that seems to be only if one acquires the Exynos variant (y'know...to root, custom recovery, & ROM it up later). Pretty sure those aren't quite as cheap as the Snapdragon variant...and especially not at the higher storage option.

Funny how I noticed the Best Buy app on your phone because as of today (11-25-2019) Best Buy is having a Black Friday sale. Depending on your carrier, you could actually buy a Note 9 brand new for $399 or a Note 10+ for $649.

I was upgrading from my Galaxy S8 Plus and was considering a Note 9 to save money. So glad I went with the Note 10 Plus 5G. Very nice!! Although I should have stuck with my S8 Plus. It was a phenomenal phone for 2 1/2 years! But when the upgrade bug bites you can't fight it lol
The only thing I wish I could change about my note 9 is a tad bit smaller phone with no bezels (like note 10) to keep the display size the same. But that isn't worth $200 let alone $1000. I'll wait 2 more years for the note 12.
Even in 2022 I'd go for the Note 9 because of that distracting center punch hole. Why did everyone decide on center camera cutouts? The upper right corner was so much better for watching videos.
Note 9 is the best note... head phone Jack, no cutouts in the display, great battery, etc. I cant see why I would upgrade to the note 10. The iris scanner in the note 9 wins it for me automatically.
Thanks for the video. I am trying to figure out if I should upgrade from my note 9 to the note 10, but I am concerned about the surround sound quality since I like to watch movies and play games on my phone. Which leads me to my second concern and that it the hole in the middle of the screen for the camera. I am just worried that the black hole cutting into the video will be annoying.
Currently own a note 10+ had a note 9 for a few months note 10+ is the better phone in my opinion but not by much the note 9 still packs a serious punch the design of the note 10+ just wins me over

Hi, I love your videos. A doubt. The writing about the calendar that you like so much is not in Note 9? And they haven't put it in Note 9 with the update to Android 10? It's something that I like a lot too.
Watching this on my note 9 which I bought this year for 12,000 pesos (second hand) and I feel like it is perfect for my mom. This is what I am looking for a phone. Wide screen, curved edges, no punch hole, can unlock using eyes, and has a finger print unlock located at the back of the phone. This iz my first time owning a samsung phone and I waz so amazed. The only thing that's lacking to me is camera quality so I decided to give this to my mom when she comes home and swap my current Oppo phone into a note 10 plus. I went back to the store where I bought my note 9 to buy their note 10 plus but I think the units were refurbished since the camera quality of note 9 was way better but the price is almost times 2 of this note 9. This is my dream phone but since I need a better camera for my job, I have to give up the finger print at the back and the no punch hole. I hope I can find a smooth second hand note 10 plus just like the note 9 I have.
Both phone have their own benefits. I understand why we cant let go of note9 bc we are so used to it. But, you can always choose. You can get a headphone jack or either a powershare for your galaxy buds or watch. You could either get a very fast optical fingerprint scanner or a more secure but bit slower ultrasonic scanner. Both have their own pros and cons, its depend on what do want to get in the future and what do you want to keep. Afterall, they both are flagship smartphone and you wont miss any latest update for software which is the most important thing. Our daily productive routine is always depend on the how the software ease our job everyday.
If note 10 had a headphone jack, I'd probably get it in a heartbeat....but the Note 20 ultra is out and I still don't see a reason to move on from the note 9
I gave away my Note 9 to my relatives and ordered a new Note 10 plus from eBay (June 2021). Note 9 is a great phone! I hope I will not regret about this upgrade :)
The Note 10 is a great one but for me it is to big and no phone jack is a deal breaker right now. That just leaves the better camera and the camera on the Note 9 is all I need and more. I'll wait and see what the 11 or 12 series brings but I don't see the value in the Note 10 when the Note 9 does it all for me at half the price or maybe less.
I have the note 9 512gb . My only complaint is how much value has been lost since launch . Compared to last year's top tier iPhone the note 9 has lost %50 of its original price .
Why do you think that's a bad thing? A lot of people can't afford to spend $800+ on a phone, so they rely heavily on those significant price drops to be able to upgrade. That sounds great to me.

The problem with both phones is that they are too narrow. I don't really need that extra height they're adding with each generation, it doesn't help at all as most times you're using phone in portrait mode and when reading who really cares if there's 200 lines of text or 250 if you only can read just one at time? Was the iris scanner a worthwhile piece of hardware? If so, is it better to utilize the scanner in conjunction with the face recognition or better by itself? I remember seeing that they were usable together or separated. I was looking at a couple of Note 9 phones to buy if it's still worth it.
Now you can get a Galaxy Note 9 for less than $350 through Amazon renewed. With third-party programmers making roms for Samsung phones, future support shouldn't be a problem either. Also many of the features mentioned that the Note 10 can do but the 9 can't, like drawing on the calendar, you can do with the 9 now. Might have been introduced with Android 10, as I didn't mess with the phone until all it's updates were done.
Samsung had this issue of draining battery while standby from the first smarthone until note 10+, thats sad; but i still love the note series the most, best practical, high quality software and hardware phone ever.
Currently sitting here with both, Note 9 (8 Gig/512 variant) and Note 10 Plus. I love both, however the larger canvas on the 10 Plus got me. Although the copper Note 20 looks stunning, I am relunctant in getting one based on both, my Tab S6 (8 Gig/256 variant) and Note 10 Plus getting ads on stock apps. No way am I going to spend this much money on premium devices to get treated as if I am on a budget device. I actually wanted to trade my Note 9 in for a Fold 2 but I'm going to hold off with Samsung for a bit and see how things play out. They have to get rid of those ads and they must start supporting their devices for a longer period of time. They have the resources and are in direct competition with a company that updates their phones for years on end. I'm putting my money where my values are. Samsung has alot to prove in order to keep me as a loyas customer/fan.

Is the 9 alot better than the 8... stil have the 8
I just bought Note 9 on 15/10/2019 for 295Pounds from Ebay 128GB and loving it.
I paid 325 pounds. Which R6100 in south Africa.
Phone was practically new
I was disappointed in the note 10, I'll be holding on to my Note 9 and wait to see the note 11, hopefully it's better but from all the leaks I'm doubting it a bit. Also with the lock screen on the note 9 you can change colors with the S pen, I do it all the time it must have been an update from not to long ago that changed it.
i just went to galaxy s10e cause my note9 after 6 months, when I used the zoom of the camera the phone became crazy, shaking and with annoying vibration like a time bomb. sad but true, however i am very happy with the s10e. Nice video Nick!
Definitely gonna wait next year for the price drop on Note 10+. Dont get me wrong, im still using my S6 Edge, so i think 10+ might be for me
I own both and Note10+ without question.
Why you have 2 phones?
Actually I have 4 and why not?
@@garyjustgary5059 Four phones?! You're crazy, lol. I know some people like to have a samsung work phone and a iphone personal phone or vice versa. Personally I would choose these two notes, but my note 9 if enough already. 😁
@@garyjustgary5059 I want to see you in public with 4 phone so I can laugh at your face
I don't carry all 4 at the same time wise guy. They're in my carry rotation.
Well... note 9 has almost all the software features mentioned in this video now.
Not for long
I love both of them. I had the 9 and now I have the 10 plus.
Was there a major difference?
Bought one yesterday, absolutely fantastic. I connect it to my PC with Windows 10 and the entire phone appears on my PC screen with desktop OS so I can send messages and work on word documents in my phone through my pc
Great vid Mr A. Watching on my Note 10+ and loving it 👏👍
Note 9 user here. Been a great phone. Will wait till note 30 or 21, whatever name they come up with next. Hoping for a note 9 updates🙏 till next year.
I disagree with everything this guy says. Even the speaker test he got wrong. But thanks for pushing the adds! Always a pleasure to watch!
The note 9 will still be relevant in 2020/2021
why?... honestly i think of buying the note 9 in july 2021
@@charlesdotdev Me too, if you find new on eBay it's worth it, the last no compromise phone.
Samsung mess up the display of the note 10 plus, sure it's still amoled but the display in terms of colors is horrible, it's all wash out and the colors are not accurate. Overall is not a bad phone I just hope they can fix it with software updates by adding more features.
I would like to upgrade to the Note 10 Plus, from the Note 9, but I dont see a difference enough to warrant the switch
How about if it was like a $100-$150 difference between note 10+ and note 9?
I couldn't decide which phone to get b/w these two and this just popped up on my feed. This is a sign
If money is not the issue, get the n10plus then.
I just got the note 9 and love it!
Funny how I noticed the Best Buy app on your phone because as of today (11-25-2019) Best Buy is having a Black Friday sale. Depending on your carrier, you could actually buy a Note 9 brand new for $399 or a Note 10+ for $649.
Hey my note 9 got android 10 with UI 2.0 all feature just came from note 10+ wow s pen font color changing during note writing in display, calander writing and more of them.
Was wondering when to let go of the Note 8.... is the 9 a great step up since it's much cheaper now?
It won’t get android 11
I was upgrading from my Galaxy S8 Plus and was considering a Note 9 to save money. So glad I went with the Note 10 Plus 5G. Very nice!! Although I should have stuck with my S8 Plus. It was a phenomenal phone for 2 1/2 years! But when the upgrade bug bites you can't fight it lol
I like to keep my galaxy Note 9 , still it is one of the best smartphone.
Its my last years dream phone. Due to unavoidable circumstances, i have to hold on the note 9.
@@NekoTaco Same, both the 9 and the 10 are my dream phones. Literally as I had dreams of owning both lol
I preordered and still have my note 9. Have atleast 1tb memory, 512gb phone + 512gb sd card
I have the Note 9 and I love it, I protect it like it's my baby, but I'd upgrade to the Note 10+ if I could, and I might
What version are you running?
In the last Update for the Note9, we got the transcribe from the SNotes, Low light mode and some others things.
Currently own a note 10+ had a note 9 for a few months note 10+ is the better phone in my opinion but not by much the note 9 still packs a serious punch the design of the note 10+ just wins me over
Watching on note 9 and happy to have this!
one of the best reviews ! been saving to buy note 9 for 2 years due to currency issues it is so high in our country , still ! hope I find the 512 gig one !
Hi, I love your videos. A doubt. The writing about the calendar that you like so much is not in Note 9? And they haven't put it in Note 9 with the update to Android 10? It's something that I like a lot too.
I love my Note 9 the best phone than the note 10. Perfect for me
Watching this on my note 9 which I bought this year for 12,000 pesos (second hand) and I feel like it is perfect for my mom.
Watching this on note 9 🧡
I definitely noticed that the S pen writes smoother on my galaxy note 10 plus. The writing experience is much better than my note 8.
I didn't realize until today that you can use both C connector headphones AND 3.5 jack headphones on the Note 9. Cool. Makes me love the 9 a bit more.
I like the Note 9 more than the Note 10. Plus, the Note 9 is a bit heavier and feels more premium than the Note 10.
If note 10 had a headphone jack, I'd probably get it in a heartbeat....but the Note 20 ultra is out and I still don't see a reason to move on from the note 9
Thanks Nick. You're a Champ!
I gave away my Note 9 to my relatives and ordered a new Note 10 plus from eBay (June 2021). Note 9 is a great phone! I hope I will not regret about this upgrade :)
My Note 9 also have color selection when take out s pen when screen is locked. So maybe need upgrade Note 9 to get that 🖋️🙏
This is the one I've been waiting for about time
Watching on my iphone 8 lol! My note 9 is busy downloading new songs in spotify 😂 still love my note 9!
The note 9 is still a beast of a phone with phenomenal battery life and smooth interface
I hate the notch or pin hole design whatever you called it. They remove the expandable storage & headphone jack. Staying in Note 9.
I have the expandable card in my 10+.??
You can do the handwriting to text on note 9 now
What about the emoji, is it clean like the 10 now?
The Note 10 is a great one but for me it is to big and no phone jack is a deal breaker right now. That just leaves the better camera and the camera on the Note 9 is all I need and more. I'll wait and see what the 11 or 12 series brings but I don't see the value in the Note 10 when the Note 9 does it all for me at half the price or maybe less.
I have both but I prefer the Note 9 more
I have the note 9 512gb .
@@joij.2111 isn't it obvious why it's a bad thing for me ? And there are cheap phones for society's poor people. Poor people have no need for the best of the best
@@pollyaloy whats up with the rich and poor? 800 is not that expensive if u consider ur using the phone for a year. its like $2.10 per day. and if u r using it for 2 years its a dollar per day right?
@@mamalemon4461 I buy the top android by samsung 1400 and the the top iPhone 1500 , the latest 65 inch oled from lg 3500 , macbook pro 4000 . This is every year . I never said 800 was a lot of money .
pls do some review over cameras. Is there a big difference in quality (photo, video) or not?thanks
The problem with both phones is that they are too narrow. I don't really need that extra height they're adding with each generation, it doesn't help at all as most times you're using phone in portrait mode and when reading who really cares if there's 200 lines of text or 250 if you only can read just one at time? I wish they stick to the 16:10 aspect as the original Note was. That 5.3" 2011 original Note was actually wider than the 6.8" Note 10+ believe it or not!
I mention the white balance is way better on the Note 9. It is more natural. So that is a downgrade on the Note 10.
I love the note 10+! just for lesser bezels and bigger size better features and everything I'm not crazy about headphone Jack I've been using headphone jack for more than decades so If I get to used airbuds and switch off Mr Jack's I will now it wont be much of a problem
Note 9 is a beast
the Note 10 just looks so pretty
Beautiful phone indeed
Is Note 9 still a great pick considering many other flagship like the OnePlus 7 Pro!?? Cause I'm considering Note 9 and would probably purchasing it today! So Please do answer fast!
Hi Nick. Is Note 9 better than Note 10?
Was the iris scanner a worthwhile piece of hardware? If so, is it better to utilize the scanner in conjunction with the face recognition or better by itself? I remember seeing that they were usable together or separated. I was looking at a couple of Note 9 phones to buy if it's still worth it.
When he said no head phone jack I was like na this ante it chef
I'm changing the iPhone 7 plus to Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus. I like Note 10 plus
Samsung has alot to prove in order to keep me as a loyas customer/fan.
note 8 vs note 10 upgrade??? video please
Will look into it, are you meaning the small version?
@@nickackermanchannel note 10 plus as they are similar in body size.
@@nickackermanchannel I would love to see note 8 against both the small and the plus version
stick with note 8 one more year or even 2
I thing compare it with note 10+ better
I have the Note 10plus best phone out hands down I gave my son my note 9 and yes it's still a monster.
Note 9 here is 240 dollars only in excellent quality. I just bought today. I can say this is one of the best flagships
Yes it was hard for me to get rid of my Note 9 lol but eventually got the Note 10 Plus 5G🤗 .... Of course I miss more of the features from my Note 9😔🥺 but overall it's a gd phone 👍🏾
