This is simply the best musical ever , bring him home just brings me to tears every time i hear it and i have watched it 8 times now . Simply wonderful so emotional xxx
Every Les Mis performance is a masterpiece showcasing people who actually have real talent and of the 150 plus times i have seen the show, every performance was SUPERB.
Heartbreaking to see this is the last time that the original and longest London staging production of LES MIZ will ever perform at West End Live. Next year, it'll be the updated NEW production.
With the new production, there is no turntable. Could this be replaced with a giant treadmill ? So when the actors are walking, they are actually walking forward. Instead of the current forwards/backwards walk.
Couldn't agree more. The original and best. Can't understand why the powers that be want to change something which has clearly worked for so long. Saw it last moth at the Queen's and can honestly say it's the best cast I have ever seen. Dean Chisnall as JVJ, Matt Hume as Javert, Katie Kerr as Mme T (understudy) and Steven Meyo as M T. Honestly the best since Colm Wilkinson, Philip Quast, Jenny Galloway and Alun Armstrong, along with a fantastic swing... a true dream cast. They will be very hard to beat!!
@@iainhenderson4065 I saw in 2010 at the Queen's with Simon Bowman (Vailjean), Hans-Peter Janssens (Javert), Rebecca Seale (Fantine), Emily Bull (Cosette), Killian Donnelly (Enjolras), Alistair Brammar (Marius), Rachel Bingham (Madame Thernadier), Martin Ball (Thernadier), and Nancy Sullivan (Eponine). So hard to beat the original staging indeed.
@Alexander Kirk you were at the performance? If you were there can you tell if the announcers said anything about the original production closing? Were fans crying more than usual?
So happy they sung Drink with me this year it’s my favourite les mis song and they don’t usually sing it so I was really happy they sang it the year I got to go there ❤️
this cast and this production is so special to me, it was the very first show i saw in west end last year and i am absolutely devastated to see them go (;-;)
Don't worry Charlotte, I have seen Les Mis MANY times and saw it again yesterday (31/03/2022) at The Lowry, Salford with Dean Chisnall as Valjean. It was BRILLIANT and received a standing ovation. I believe it was Nic Greenshields as ‘Javert’, Katie Hall as ‘Fantine’, Ian Hughes as ‘Thénardier’, Helen Walsh as ‘Madame Thénardier’, Barnaby Hughes as ‘Enjolras’. ALL the main singers were superb and Thénardier and Mrs T were very funny.
I love that show Les Mis I've seen it twice with my twin sister in Cardiff in the Millennium Centre that was absolutely phenomenal and when it comes back to Cardiff we will definitely go again to watch it thanks for the video Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody d🤶🎅👼🧚♀️🧚♂️
Is there a full show of this cast of Les Miserables? because it’s really good and Les Miserables is my absolute favourite musical and one of my favourite songs is One day more in this cast
Corin Ward sane I was meant to see it in August with my mum but I was going to surprise my mum with the tickets for her birthday and I got told it will be shit till next year which is annoying as I was looking forward to seeing it with my mum 😢
Marius changed halfway through? And where was Enjolras in the first half? Confuzzled. Then Marius is back and Javert’s different too 🧐 Valjean is the first in decades to have that softer quality in his voice that I loved in Colm Wilkinson, though, love love. And Thenardier looks a lot like Raymond Walsh who just did Grantaire, wow, did not realise he understudied. Uhf, to see him again.
I know that the guy in Grantaire's costume here (green shirt and kinda stripey waistcoat) wasn't the principal actor for Grantaire here (assuming it's one of the swings, although I imagine Grantaire's part was probably just cut for timing). The principal actor for Grantaire (Raymond Walsh) is still in this though, but he's playing Thenardier here because he was also first cover for that role
The climb on “shame” is terrible. I have heard this “dead”-sounding “modern” approach with other performers singing this song, and I believe it’s becoming a trend-sad to say. It’s colorless, cold, and uninvolving... just what you don’t want in a musical, especially in “Les Miserables,” especially in Fantine’s “I Dreamed a Dream.” Who thought this was a good idea?!
There’s never a bad performance with any of the cast of the Les Mis❤️
Drink with me is my all time favourite Les Mis song, I’m so happy they performed this masterpiece
love how they did drink with me when they haven't done that before! good them and what a spectactular one day more
This is simply the best musical ever , bring him home just brings me to tears every time i hear it and i have watched it 8 times now . Simply wonderful so emotional xxx
This is my absolute favourite performance of this song, I always come back to this one here. So beautiful!

Every time I hear Dean Chisnall I’m absolutely amazed, he has to be my favourite Valjean of all time and it’ll be a shame to see him go ☹️
You need to check out John Owen-Jones!
Or alfie bowe
Jon Robyns of the current production is amazing!
Still Cant Believe they are replacing this brilliant production with the tour version! :( x
Usually I do not cry when I watch les mis west end live videos, you can guess why, but I cried the whole time this year.

I agree , the staging will change like the touring production and I hate it.
@Alexander Kirk you were at the performance? If you were there can you tell if the announcers said anything about the original production closing? Were fans crying more than usual?
And now I’m crying. Can’t believe this original production is closing for the new one.
What exactly does that mean?
Why closing?

She’s a great singer and actress. Saw her recently with Jason manford in musical. This is her calling not tv soap . Go girl
That's the prettiest Eponine I've ever seen.
8:04 I was there with my group and we were ecstatic when it switched into One Day More
Someone, let Cameron Mackingtosch change his mind, nobody is waiting for a way less powerfull production than the current epic version.

I’m so glad that they did Drink with me!! It’s my favorite in Les Mis!
This eponine looks so close to the book. Idk if its just me.
So sad to see this cast go:( I got to see them do their thing in December and it’s the best musical I’ve ever seen
Bring him home gave me shivers
Smashed it... Amazing performance
Is there a full show of this cast of Les Miserables? because it’s really good and Les Miserables is my absolute favourite musical and one of my favourite songs is One day more in this cast

To days gone byyyyyyy😭😭😭
I bet they all feel really stupid doing the walking thing for 3 minutes straight but it somehow looks cool?
hahaha, I know right. but they do it every day on the actual west end show.
Hee hee i do it at home whilst singing one day more :)
Wait up ... Fantine's eyes are so gorgeous omg
im knew to this cast, who's playing jean valjean, he's astounding!
It's Dean Chisnall! He's really amazing!!
@@hawaii_five_0_girls76 thank you!
James Hume FTW!!!
They do drink with me but put neither Marius' nor Grantaire's part in? It was still beautiful though.
Elena Skye is my favorite eponine among all eponines.

私は2019年の現地時間で3月25日夜公演を観劇しました!
They skipped Grantaire's part in Drink With Me 😭😭😭

At 10:52 does the Eponine option up to a higher note on "might"?
Incredible
anyone else back here after 2 years because they miss the 2019 cast? (especially D14)
9:00 I swear the harmony between Cosette and Marius is like the Tik Tok voice filter, nevertheless an amazing performance

They sound vocally tired...

Fantine sounds like a light version of Kermit the frog 🙈
