I think he just lowered the key on some of the higher parts, I had heard people say that sometimes he sings it lower in performances and sometimes he doesn't but this is my first time actually hearing it despite seeing him live twice!! (I'm guessing I either just happened to be lucky or have just become less tone deaf since then??)
