I hate to say this, because Lea Salonga is considered a goddess within musical theatre, and rightfully so, but Eva Noblezada eclipses even Lea in this heart wrenching and exceptionally moving "On My Own." Musical theatre has found its new Queen. Utterly breathtaking performance. I shed a tear listening to this emotive performance. The rest of the ensemble was right up there, too, including powerful performances from Javert, Marius, and Enroljas.
Wow Eva did well for her First ever performance as Eponine. She hasnt even done her first show yet so she was probably super nervous doing it in a audience that is bigger than what she will be doing in the queens. So people criticising her... Bear that in mind and leave her alone!

She gave a different version of Eponine. Very beautiful and powerful. But here goes, Eponine will always be Lea Salonga to me. Lea brought a sweetness and tenderness to Eponine that none of the other Eponines have been able to do.
Lea was also a better singer. Eva did a fanstastic job but her breathing was very distracting here. Lost of very audible intakes of breath. Still, she is young and will only get better.
Le was an exceptional Eponine - - but her voice does not have the incredible, emotive power of Eva'd voice. Eva may well be the most singularly talented musical theatre talent in a generation. I am thinking of the American talent, too, but Eva is on a different level!
