@ToTheKneeProductions First of all, Keyleth is Marisha, there is no 'keyleth wouldn't have'. Keyleth is a D&D character she's not a person who can have independent thoughts or ideas. Secondly, We're all allowed to have moments that we can hope for in the show, this was mine. Well that and the bathtub scene. My assumption was that it wouldn't be with an actual cliff or ended in Keyleth's death since they're restraining the ability to bring people back so it's more impactful. So in a way I was right about the context being different. Lastly, I think it's safe to say if I know about the Goldfish reference that I would also know about TJ Shore's video. As well as seen it repetitively over the years, probably even referenced it without giving context, then showed the video to the people I confused by randomly saying "I got this, I'm a golden god". This is awesome!! My husband and I would love to go through all the DND episodes but they’re a lot…I love this, so we can see side by side the OG and the series!! Thanks, buddies!! Keep it up!!
Never dreamed when this campaign was going that we'd end up getting an actual animated series out of it, much less the 3 seasons we're up to. Utter madness. Couldn't be happier.
Interesting how the table version had them bring refugees in there. And the notion of being able to use the Chateau to escape a dire battle also sounds awesome.
I love how in the show that it was Scanlan Singing to Describe the Room Additions as opposed to Sam just saying it like dialogue like in the Campaign here. It’s a more Scanlan-esque Approach to how the scene would go vs how it went in the campaign
I know it's so disappointing but I guess for the narrative no one would actually jump a thousand feet off a cliff but that scene is one of DND's grand moments
It would really depend on what happens in season 4. It’s an iconic scene so it’s always likely to be included, however it’s also possible it might be cut due to possible plot irrelevance (I don’t actually know what leads up to moment). At the very least we will likely get a ‘It’s fine. We’re gods’ line, but I think it’s best to not get hopes too high for seeing it animated just in case it doesn’t happen. I still really hope it does though.
Unfortunately, the cliff scene happens during the “Trickfoot Family Drama” kind of sidequest during the Taryion portion of the campaign. I wouldn’t call anything in that event being of too much import and foresee it being mentioned in similar fashion to the “Cow” situation much earlier in the campaign. While the “we’re gods” moment was AMAZING and a great moment I don’t expect it to make the final cut. 😅 But that didn’t stop me from replaying that cannonball scene this morning multiple times just to see the goldfish hit the screen and laugh. 😂 We at least got A FISH!! I’ll TAKE IT!!
The only thing that I found kinda sad about the LOVM version is that Scanlan didn't learn to cast this himself, but instead got a key from Umbrasyl's hoard. I feel that kind of diminishes his capabilities and his contributions to Vox Machina. 😞
It is very hard to show learning spells in animation. Look at the way he learns poly morph etc. Also notice how Vex does not heal even though she can? I think I only in MN with Caleb will we see actually spell learning because it's easier to show as a wizard
There’ll never be a better Cast of Magnificent Mansion than in #DungeonsAndDaddies when Glenn steals a nuke and removes a boss level threat from play whistle starting to sing a Disney song.
I love how they're revisiting the game-play. We all knew the animated series would mimic game play, but it's nice to revisit the moments that made the animated moments possible
3:30 Travis is singing 'Ashari tribe' like 'Cherokee tribe' from the John Loudermilk song Indian Reservation. this is the first time in game that he used the spell so they went through all the description. They fight the dragon later in the campaign so they already knew how the mansion worked by then
