    It never fails to amaze me how less is more,, you took away so much and yet the tree takes on a more complete unit. I would assume the carving will fade and mellow fairly quick to look older.
    Once again Thanks and Bless you Corin.

    You have again taken basically good material/structure and made it a more appealing and beautiful. Your carving really enhanced the appearance overall. Like it is said, less is more.

    Looks amazing. Couldn’t imagine it initially but clearing out some of the growth and revealing more of the branch structure really looks fantastic
    It’s arranging the apex that I always have trouble with. You make it look easy though.

    *Good morning Greenwood Bonsai!* That Beaver Pine has to be one of the nicest looking Beaver Pine bonsai I’ve seen on TH-cam so far, the color on that thang! Amazing! 💜🌲

    Amazing how much neater it looked just taking the old needles off. The carving has greatly improved the tree along with the removal off the excess growth.

    I like the way you treated the dead wood. Looks better than just lime sulfur. I was a little skeptical when you kept taking branches off, but this version of the tree definitely turned out nice.

    From a bush to a tree, nicely done Corin, it's having that vision to know what to keep, what to remove and that takes years to learn. Some people keep on cutting and cutting until there is nothing left, knowing when to stop is a learned experience.

  • @p.9253
    @p.9253 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I preferred the back as the front, because the carving is the best feature by far, and the branch placement is much better. I would have the branches coming from the back and having them whipping around to the front.

      Yes, a few people do, but personally I prefer a hint of deadwood from the front rather than it being right in your face. But it is good it has multiple good views around the tree

    when you cut that big brunch , i thought you might make a mistake and i felt heart break when that brunch down, but at last when i saw the result of this tree, oh my god ,you made a great art work .thank you Mr for your video. about that trunk, i thought you might do too much ,it looked unnatural in my opinion.

  • @TommyStGeorge
    @TommyStGeorge 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks great. For my taste, the only thing I would do is angle the main trunk about 30 deg. to the right when you get a chance to repot it

    How is called this bonsai style?

  • @SuperPeleke
    @SuperPeleke 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great job with the carving. Personally I prefer the deadwood to be lighter color with conifers. And as you were spinning the tree. I disagree. The front is the side with the dead wood. The foliage looks better behind the deadwood. But these are subjective preferences. The tree looks great from all sides, which it should.

    • @greenwoodbonsaistudio
      @greenwoodbonsaistudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, quite subjective, for me to see all the deadwood is too much. I prefer to see some contrast of deadwood and bark. Also from deadwood side, the top of tree is going away from the viewer. The deadwood can always be lightened if new owner wishes it to be treated with Lime Sulphur etc. Glad you like the carving and vids

  • @nickwalters6682
    @nickwalters6682 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think you missed the ball there? the deadwood carving you did was amazing, how that wasn't made to be the front i will never know. The front as you have it just shows a quarter of the dead wood, witch i think is a shame.

    • @greenwoodbonsaistudio
      @greenwoodbonsaistudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because I prefer the carving not to "be in your face" but more subtle, and there if you want to look harder. Thanks though, glad you liked the carving !
