I just did my first overland adventure. My buddy and I did the WY BDR. Like you said, I can't believe I haven't been doing this before. Also based in Cheyenne 😎
That old concrete structure you found on South Pass is the old mill that processed the gold ore from the mines in that immediate area. The old town of Lewiston is on the other side of the creek which is called Strawberry Creek. Was very active in the mid to late 1860's. Atlantic City was a gold rush town built up about the same time. Several old mines above Atlantic City. You should have gone into the Merchantile. You drove right past that. Great food ! South Pass City was at one time considered as the capital of Wyoming. 4000 people lived there in 1867. Wonderful history that you failed to mention. There are still descendants that live here in the Lander Valley. Also the Green River Lakes area. The big Square Top mountian is called Square Top. The second most photographed mountian in Wyoming. The first is of course our Grand Teton. Just an FYI for ya ! Loved your show !
This place is great. We were there last July...13th through 18th. Stayed in that same campsite. Hidden pit toilet in the willows? Cowboy from across the river comes through in early morning or sundown with his dogs, either on horseback or ATV? We set up our Tipitent up on the flat. We did Union pass on the 4th day, and in hindsight I wish we had moved our camp up there for a few days. Craziest thing...got up one night top piss and it was a full moon low on the horizon...blood red from the forest fires in California...but the Milkyway was the most ridiculous thing that I've ever seen in the night sky. It was like being at the planetarium and I regret not taking pictures. No light pollution out there.
@@CodeBrownProductions That's just all natural flavoring for your water! But for real, I always filter my water you don't want to have a Code Brown while you're on the trails driving! Lol 😆
Great video! I agree with the other folks here, great to see ideas that are NOT Colorado, because it does get busy as **** during the summer. Would you mind sharing the location yall camped at, time stamp 15:30? I am from Texas and I need to save as much time as possible NOT making wrong turns. Thank you in advance.
Yeah over land trip 🤗🤗🤗👍🏻 do you have the capability to make or put in your jeep 36v dc Arc welding made with 3 car batteries it also power's your wench
Nice video..been up in that area but not that pass. I'm in Salt Lake and wife and I are looking for camping/exploring friends! Lol. If you know of groups I'd love to meet some new people.
I'm not aware of any groups in the Salt Lake area sorry. I just kinda go around everywhere looking for cool stuff lol. This trip was with 4xploring.com go check them out.
This area is getting over run, please drive, camp, hike safely and most important do not abuse the trails and clean up after your frigging selves!! When all the Instagramers and youtubers leave, us locals like to enjoy our area, we usually spend most of that time cleaning up after the tourists. Maybe we should start to hold google and facebook responsible for the trail maintenance and destruction of the environment like the American marxists want to hold oil and gas responsible for climate change. Rant over, nice job on the video.
One more thing, when there is a fire ban that means NO FIRES! The forest rangers put out dozens of unattended fires every weekend during fire bans. Have a good day.
I agree with most of what you say as far as leaving the trails clean and not damaging anything. It's dishearting to know you group me with the people that destroy trails as I value them very much and do everything I can to keep them open.
@@CodeBrownProductions I apologize for my pour communication skills, I get worked up easy, I shouldn't have wrote that at that time. My message was not to you directly.... but more to everyone watching this and then coming out here. If you're ever in the area again reach out, I'll owe you a drink.
@@krissearles5997 Good man Kris! Thanks for clarifying and apologizing. I know exactly where you’re coming from but these guys seem like the Good Guys! Take care. You live in beautiful country! God bless America👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The sky was clear and amazing that night. I actually got a really nice pic of the milkyway that night. With my phone no less!
😎 That was an awesome campsite with your own private beach. Nice 👍 the water looked so clear & clean that you could drink from it...
I wouldn't, I'm sure a bear pissed in it up stream at some point lol

Those were up by Green River Lake, if you are talking about were we camped on the shore of the river. It was awesome.

Haven't thought of that either lol
I'm so jealous man! I would love to have done that trip up there, it was gorgeous.
It was pretty awesome
What is the large antennae thing on the back above the apare tire?
It is a cell phone booster from WeBoost. They help increase your signal coverage in fringe areas.
@CodeBrownProductions thanks! By the way grreat stuff. Subscribed.

I need to come wheeling with you some time! I’m in Cheyenne!
Are you based out of Cheyenne? I'm in Cheyenne myself.
Yes
I've got a good friend that lives in Cheyenne, he has an old Cherokee 4x4. Do you have a link to your friends shop?
Look up TNT's Advanced Automotive
If you put a band-aid over your microphone that will Cancel the wind noise
I've never tried that
Nice
Thank you

Thank you?
Good video except for the awful, generic and inappropriate music. So many videos are ruined by ill-conceived music.
