Well done. I had been looking for clarity on that for a while and you got as close as is humanly possible! I’m looking to leave high and getting higher tax Spain and Italy is one the countries I’m looking at. If social security is calculated on the reduced amount I will definitely choose Italy. I am in the general consultant category I think. I would like to wait for clarity though from the tax agency. Or do you think I might be waiting a long time? I’m hoping to move in the next six months. Thanks again! Great work and videos
Hello Seamus, in order to go in deep with your case you can book a consultancy in which we might help you more in details sites.google.com/view/esentaxa/home
HI @seamusthehoops ...I am in a similar case, general consultant trying to escape Spanish conficatoty regime.Did you find out whether social security is applied to the reduced amount or to the total??Thanks in advance.
I do not understand one thing, you said that the type of activity tell if you are an autonomous worker or an entrepreneur but in your video you use the same code for the two cases, how is that?
Has this issue been officially clarified since the time of the was recorded. As an entrepreneur would i have to pay social contribution on my entire income or?
Brilliant content, thank you for that! I have a question about "reddito lavoro autonomo" vs "reddito di impresa" case, has it been clarified? Did the government confirm that for "reddito lavoro autonomo" social contributions are calculated after applying the exempt and that was no mistake?
ESENTaxa I was looking on the Internet and one of the requierements is to have unversity degree. I am web developer I don't have university degreee, I will be eligible for the impatriate regime as self-employed?
Thanks for the video! One question: If I move to Italy as a permanent (EU) resident, with no job and no income other than what I make from trading cryptocurrencies (earnings of which will be taxed as a capital gain I think), and have no intention of getting any Italian government pension payment when I reach retirement age, will I be forced to pay a minimum monthly or annual amount into the social security system/INPS (for pension and/or public healthcare)? Thanks!
Are there any loopholes or criteria for not having to pay INPS other than earning below €5000? I am a British citizen who is resident in Italy but I have a limited company in the UK. I have not yet registered or taken any payments since being in Italy.
Hello Joseph, If this is your only income. You can earn up to 5000 per year as freelance tax free and social contribution free just respecting these two parameters: 1)no more than 30 consecutive working days per year with the same client 2) no more than 5000 euro as autonomous work. If you are saying 5000 per month, than is different thing. About your company in UK, if you are the administrator and you are running the business from Italy you might be subject to tax inversion from the Italian tax authorities.
Great video. Is it not true that as a US/Italian dual citizenship sole proprietor (US-sourced income, although I don't think it matters) I can choose to pay into USA social security, as long as I prove to the Italian authorities that I am making that payment? I know a chiropractor in Bassano del Grappa and he is doing this, but he has been in Italy for decades and is not part of the Inpatriate Regime. If I can convince my wife to leave the USA (and I hope I can) I will definitely be using your services extensively. You provide the most valuable information on this subject!
Hello Thanks you very much! I appreciated. Between Italy and US there is a particular convention which explains in which scenario you should pay social security in US rather than IT.
Great vid! Is this still valid (the autonomous part at 15:16)? Any updates?
Hello yes is still valid. Still no official clarification from INPS
@esentaxa HI, any clarification yet?If the social security contribution is applied to the reduced amount I'm hardly considering to move to Italy.

Yes is still valid
