It takes strength to love others. It takes strength to ask others for help. It takes strength to forgive. It takes strength to trust. And that strength can only be found in Jesus. I went through a good 2 years of focusing my attention inward to heal. But the whole time I was in communication with God. I surrendered to Christ and let him heal me and show me where to go. That was the best feeling ever. I feel bad for ppl who have to rely on themselves and have to convince that they are their own “God”. That sounds like a trauma response to me, as a result of hurt and betrayal. Again, only God can heal this for you.

Thank you, I needed this to show to my friend. He is way too naive. He told me he went to a taro/palm reader that claims she was Catholic. She told him that he suffers in this current life because his previous life he did not fully become a priest when he had the chance. This man is a 40 year old man yet still believes in these things. Can't believe he even believes her when she said she was also Catholic.

I got into this nonsense when I was dealing with a breakup that devastated me at the time. To someone who is vulnerable, this ideology is very attractive. Now I see clearly how evil and satanic LOA is. Turned me into a self-obsessed person. These “teachings” are so incompatible with Christ. Blessed to be back home in the Church.

Thank you for going deep into law of attraction and exposing the common sense. I am a Catholic and back then I tried the law of attraction (positive thinking) yes it works to some extent but then I also prayed so hard for the things I asked (novenas and masses daily) and put my situation in God's hand..and true enough, Jesus said "ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you" and He also said do not let your hearts be troubled "... With Jesus' words, I came to terms with BTS...believe in God, trust in God, and surrender to God. And all these things will be added unto you. If not, just still trust that God has something better and will surely save our soul even if it's not what we expect, but it will surely help our soul.

This is the exact reason people believe this nonsensical illogical world view principle. It's framed as self serving, it's made to suit YOU, what YOU want, YOUR will. I get to think exclusively about ME. It's selfishness incorporated put into an increasingly selfish society.
I remember recently falling into a really bad and impure mortal sin before repenting, examining my conscience and confessing. I thought in my examination of conscience about how and why I have fallen into grave mortal sins; into things that deeply offend God, even though I as a practising Catholic have zero desire to offend God. In that examen, through Gods grace, I saw that it was selfishness. It was me wanting my own freedom to do what I want to do for myself and without realising pushing God to the side, and thus exposing my weak and flawed humanity to be tempted and exploited by evil for evil. The reason I mentioned this is because these law of attraction books and the greater new age movement as a whole propagates that very idea of selfishness; you don't need God, you are God, you can do whatever you want. As a result many will have their human weaknesses and vices prayed on, and used to drag them diwn to very dark and evil places while being told that they're realising their greatest divine potential when in reality the exact opposite is happening.
The bottom line is that to realise our greatest potential, to live in the truth and be with our Lord in heaven, we need to let go of ourselves and our flawed human will, and instead allow the Holy Spirit to direct and guide us to Gods perfect will. In terms of reading up to be taught how to do that, first abd foremost the Bible. After that there's great texts like the imitation of Christ, as well as looking into our Saints and referring to their examples on how we can better do Gods will. Don't be self centred, don't be selfish, don't subscribe to the new age of ME ME ME, be God centred, live for God through God, and subscribe to the truth, to the Catholic Truth (pun intended).

This gets tricky because there is an element of truth to the idea. Changing your mindset is wildly beneficial because it allows you to have a fresh perspective on your circumstances and tackle your life with stamina because you're unhindered by the debilitating negativity which previously weighed you down. Where this veers off the tracks is when you start saying that the thoughts and imaginations in and of themselves, independent of your own actions, can bring you whatever it is that you want. I think a lot of times this is just a mind trick, because as I said, a healthy mindset is obviously going to be of great benefit to you, as you're more likely to be positive and therefore more productive, but that certainly doesn't mean the mindset ITSELF is making the magic happen. I won't rule out the idea though that some of these practices are real, and simply demonic or disordered in origin. Because just because something works doesn't mean it's good.

    • @hectthorno584

Indeed. Precisely the mark of the Devil is to mix truths with lies. LOA is exactly the same as the technique the Devil used in Eden "you will be like gods" which is actually true as it is written in Psalms and recalled by Jesus himself. But of course as catholics we know that our vocation of becoming gods is through sanctity, ie humility, charity and doing God's will through JC.
Damneds want to become gods too but at their selfish condition: this is the path to Hell (not to mention the LOA is mainly used for material needs, attract love, etc, which again for a catholic, are just means. Not the purpose of life which is going to Heaven, our true home).
About the mindset, you can have the whole, complete, true and full power mindset through the Holy Spirit. There, of course, no risk of deception
Through Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit you can get a whole new mindset but you get then to stay under

I think in some way the practice of changing s.o.'s thinking towards good things to attract them is related/cognate to praying (but without intentionaly adressing explicitly to God).
But since God "hears" every thought of you anyways, whether adressed to him or not, he is appealed and responses anyways..

It isn't new age! This knowledge was taught centuries ago. Nothing new under the sun Mamas! The laws were established by God the creator of the universe. The law of attraction is just one of the many laws to be in harmony with. God created the laws of the universe so why is it bad? It doesn't make sense. The glory goes to God the creator for the laws. There's nothing sinister about studying the laws of the universe and being in harmony with! Wake up already and remove the lid from your marvelous mind. Anything that's humanly possible we can achieve as long as our mind can conceive it! It has to be humanly possible!!! With God nothing is impossible and we'll attract anything we passionately think about. That's a law! People don't understand and immediately condemn what they don't understand. Stop being closed minded. We have mental faculties that we inherited from God! We're created in the image and likeness of the creator making us creators as well. I don't claim to be the supreme but I have the DNA of the creator! People confuse this and take things out of context! God didn't create religion, men did! We have freewill and I advise you to use it. Think good thoughts! Be in harmony with the laws!

I was going through a depressive cycle and I discovered the secret when i was 18 years old. It planted the seed in my mind that my thoughts have direct impact to my reality. Within a few days i started to feel "better". I had more energy my confidence was through the roof. I even had sex for the first time and i felt like a literal god in this world. My ego was so inflated i literally thought i was god. I had weird thoughts that i could actually do anything! I believe this was a demonic attack on my soul for within 5 days I was arrested and put my life at risk multiple times during the end of this trip. During this episode my parents gave me a prayer card with Jesus and the our father on the back before i peaked into insanity and for the first time sincerely my life i took Jesus in to account and felt that I comprehended the prayer in a deeper sense. Before this episode i never thought of god or Jesus and this is what made me start believing in god. For years afterwords i was attracted to this new age thinking because of the experience was surreal and i still had no proper guidance. This type of thinking is truly powerful but takes you further away from god and makes you decide your will instead of living gods will. I am certain i was saved by Jesus during this time and i am on going down the proper path in believing in him. This has been a hard journey especially since living in this world I've had to battle the notion that i temporarily lost my sanity but i have faith that god has me in his sights of protection. This year at 23 i went back to the catholic church, confessed for the first time in over 10 years and am continually seeking Jesus. I still have a lot to learn and living in gods grace is still challenging for me but i will not stop moving forward. What this man is saying speaks volumes and i believe is true, trough personal experience. God bless.

Law of attraction is true to some extent.
For example, people completely disregard the power of subliminals. While you can't really attract instant anything, you actually can be changed by subliminals.
If you keep repeating to yourself, and others keep telling you (in words, actions, etc.) that everything is gonna be alright, sooner or later you ARE going to be convinced and you will believe it and act accordingly.
If you are being told by your surroundings that you are worthless, that you don't deserve for good to happen to you, you are eventually start believing that. Or, you will "attract" that into your life. It's not about attraction, it's about mindset.
And subliminals go way beyond just some track on youtube with some statements underneath. Everything contains a subliminal message.

    • @clarissaarnaldo7889
      @clarissaarnaldo7889 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Subliminals can help your mind relax and focus on the things you think you want to attract but the danger to that is you not realizing that unknown spirits are also entering your mind(unconsciously) introducing another thought...next thing you know the changes in you needs to be controlled in a higher level of mind control. But what that is is actually a possession of that spirit you have opened yourself into (subconsciously or unconsciously) ... That's dangerous.

Actually a lot of non-Christians are able to achieve ANYTHING THEY WANT and EVEN AMASS RIDICULOUS AMOUNTS OF WEALTH and FORTUNE WITHOUT THE CONCEPT OF GOD OR EVEN SLIGHTLY BELIEVING IN JESUS, and that's because the laws of nature are universal. If one is determined to achieve something and is willing to do anything and think towards that goal then it can happen for that person. Consistent labor will have its fruits. However, whether or not ones JOY IS FULL is a totally different story. THIS IS EXPERIENCED FULLY BY A TRUE BELIEVER OF JESUS regardless of thr circumstances. Other beliefs may have their own concept of fullness of joy, and as Christians we just need to respect that without subscribing to it. What is imperative is that we are vigilant not to fall into the trap of the enemy by practicing their deceptive "laws". We need to constantly remind ourselves that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life 💜🙏

They can't do anything they want. They can't fly. They can't jump up to the moon. They can't make themselves live forever. They can't become immortal. So big deal that they acquire wealth for themselves all while ignoring the countless cases of people who put this same made up belief into practice and don't come up with wealth or anything except heartbreak, pain, and destruction in their lives.
The bottom line is that only God is god. Even in the bible, people complain about pagans who are very wealthy and seem to have it all together while those who follow God don't. But that doesn't matter because Jesus said the way to heaven is to pick up your cross and follow him. Many of the people who are amassing wealth are not on the way to heaven and will lose their souls for eternity. We need to pray for them.

We are not God, and so we don't know who goes to heaven and hell. The Catholic Church teaches that if it's by no fault of their own, and there's no possible way they could have known the Catholic church was true, then it's possible they could be saved if they live the gospel. Obviously, the Catholic church has the easiest, straightest and most sure path to Salvation. Which is why the church encourages evangelization.

Spot on ! It's even written in Psalms. But we see in Genesis how Satan twists this truth, to make man fell. Exactly the same way LOA twists it.
I do embrace my call being a god. But I will only reign with God if I follow the true path who is Jesus Christ and pray not for my flesh desires but for God's Will be done, exactly as Jesus did until the Cross. It's a narrow path, I know 😉

As one famous Catholic convert said, There are millions of people who hate what they mistake, and they think the Catholic Church is. In other words, there are countless misconceptions about what Catholicism teaches. And most people don't take the time to actually look it up and they sadly rely on myths and misconceptions instead. God bless.

I listen to Neville Goddard and really like his teachings. However, I am always open to correction from our Lord Jesus. What I struggle with is how does your message stand against these scriptures? There is also the Gospel of Thomas.
Mark 11: 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
John 10 : 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Proverbs 23 : 7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

      Neville Goddard teaches :
      - You are God (should ring the bell right away if you remember Genesis)
      - Use "I am" (directly taken from God with Moses and Jesus)
      - Denies Evil as taught by Jesus
      - Denies Hell as taught by Jesus
      - twists Scriptures.
Remember how Satan used verses from the Bible to tempt Jesus in the desert.

it's me who thank you for your message. I do understand what you mean as I used to practise LOA. But it is very deceiving as it relies on on a misuse of faith and is very closed to catholic teachings but twists them at some point, which is for me a satanic signature.
The first thing that hit me is that there is only one love : selfish love. As I am God, I can get whatever I want. I need no one. And of course, no Savior. But all Jesus teachings is about loving God, oneself and our neighbors.
As you read Neville Goddard you know "everyone is you pushed out" (or something like that) : that means you can attract people you want in your life. You fell for someone married? Go for it. Use LOA and get that person. Don't worry about sins as sin only exist in your head... Shall I continue?😉
About feeling helpless I understand what you say. But allow me to share my experiment.
As I have experimented LOA I know it works. I suffer from unwilling celibacy and it would take me 20 minutes to get someone. But LOA teaches also, you get what you want, not what you need or what will make you happy.
I have used LOA to attract beautiful women, but it eventually ended badly, and moreover I ended by felling into idolatry to get married.
But I choose God. Instead of trusting the process, I struggled to fully trust a person: God. It took me years. But I was blessed with signs as I have asked God things that didn't work at all (leading me to be upset against God) discovering months later that God's action was the perfect way as my desires would have led to disasters.
So I have now a very strong feeling of freedom : I could use satanic teachings to get whatever I want except true love wich is God's, true happiness or chose to trust my father who knows better and with whom I have a strong relationship thanks to the Holy Spirit. But indeed it asks to understand that all what the world values are only means. The only finality is to go to Heaven. And that can happen today for both of us.
To end, I will add that even if I understand better now, it's not always easy to keep the good fight, so please pray for me.

But isnt it true to a certain extent?
For example on one end/(extreme)these L.O.A believers believe that if a poor child who gets abused then the poor child is at fault for attracted that abuse into their life experience.
But on a logical stand point it is true that if you think positive life tends to be better. I use to know someone who lived horribly and unfortunately did nothing to get out but only drowned themselves deeper intentionally.
But then there are those who simply have faith have a positive outlook and do tend to change circumstances and tend to get good results in life.
But it is normal and totally healthy to feel bad and good feelings according to bad or good experiences.
And the L.O.A makes it seem like you must only be ‘happy’.

Law of attraction is dangerous. What makes it dangerous is people think i must think positive and they do not face reality . We must let God lead us and we must not think we can do anything on our own. When we think our thoughts create reality and we leave God out we are allowing the fallen angels to lead the way . When reality hits new agers they tend to go "off" . We must protect our mind by having the Holy Spirt walking with us and trusting God the father and Jesus our savior. And ask our mother Mary to help us and the saints . Say the rosery. This new age stuff is an old trick of Satan that is getting popular again. Stay alert . ❤

Exactly. In fact, in the book conversations with God which teaches both new age and the Law of Attraction, it says that Hitler is in heaven. First, because he didn't do anything wrong. It only appeared to us that he did but it was an illusion, second, because everyone goes to heaven, and third, because there's no such thing as evil. Only God and goodness exists. As one would obviously no, this is and obscenely dangerous worldview. What's the top more Hitler's from coming into the world if they're all just going to go to heaven anyway?

They are charlatans preying on the trusting people. Obviously, positive thoughts do have power, but these clowns exaggerate it. They mislead through omission. How about training? How about hard work? How about endurance? A smile is rewarded with another smile, but usually not with a million dollars. Love often brings joy and fulfillment, but usually it doesn't bring a Rolls Royce. Oh, how we want to believe.

    COUNT ON JESUS:
There is only one God, God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. One God, three parts. Humans have a soul, spirit and body. One person, three parts.
The Bible says that we are all sinners.
As it is written: There is none righteous no not one. Romans 3:10
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
But we are all as an unclean thing and all our righteousness are as filthy rags. Isaiah 64:6
For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23(the word “death” in this verse means eternal separation, from God in hell).
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.Isaiah 1:18
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures.1CORINTHIANS 15:3-8
In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:14
Jesus said unto her,I am the resurrection and the life: He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. John 11:25
For by grace ye are saved, through faith; and not of yourselves
it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Galatians 2:21
If you would like to receive Jesus as your Savior. Realize that you are a hopeless sinner and tell Jesus that you trust in Him and only Him to save you.
The moment you trust in Jesus and only Jesus, you are saved.
After people get saved, they get baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
It isn’t a requirement for salvation, but it is something that God wants us to do after we are saved.

@ J G. Why do Protestants constantly troll Catholic videos and preach to us? I see it on practically every Catholic video I watch, and I watch a lot. If you want to preach to someone about Jesus as our Savior, why don’t you go to a Muslim or Jewish channel. You are speaking to the choir here.

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial
      @CatholicTruthOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

And there are some errors in his comment. He said baptism is not necessary for salvation, but the Bible disagrees. Mark 16:16 says that "he who believes _and is baptized_ will be saved." Acts 2:38 says baptism and repentance are for the forgiveness of sins. Also there's 1 Peter 3:21 and John 3:5.
