      all other religions are that way. when I was a teen, I looked into different pagan and mystic teachings, but they all seemed to basically be "here is how you get the universe to give you free stuff".
      compared to the church, very frivolous indeed

    Thank you for speaking about this. It’s so important. All Catholics and just everyone should stay away from the New Age movement and the practices. Unfortunately, I have family members who are deep in these strange beliefs. I am concerned about the state of their soul. I hope one day they chose to follow God and stop practicing witchcraft and other satanic rituals/practices. God bless you brother. 🙏

    I’ve witnessed Catholics and Protestants fall for wearing the “ evil eye “ icon. I only happy to know their Christian because they’re wearing those icons alongside Christian iconography. All we can do is pray, discern, and speak to them. May we accept the Grace of God in our lives! He’s only waiting for us to say yes!

    Thank you so much. I love this channel. My husband and I and our 5 children are Catholic converts. We have been baptized Catholics for 1 year!
    My husband came from a Baptist background and I came from a Pentecostal background. My husband studied Catholicism for almost 3 years. He started off like Steve Ray. My husband was trying to find ways to win Catholics over. In fact, his plan failed and he was won over to the Catholic church thus leading me to the Catholic church as well.
    Your channel helps me learn so much more. My husband is a theologian type. I thank my husband for showing me the way, and other spiritual leaders and teachers such as you, Steve Ray and Scott Hauhn. I don't want to be mislead in to the new age beliefs. Thank you again!

      No one mentioned Baptists, but yes, they are Protestants. They are just another Protestant denomination started in 1607 by John Smyth in Amsterdam. And Catholic and Roman Catholic are the same thing. There's only one Catholic Church. Since this is a troll comment like all of your comments are, any further comments on this thread from you will be deleted unless they are on topic and you have watched the video.

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial

      We understand that Lutheran came out before Baptist. But we also understand what every history book and every encyclopedia will tell you, that lutherans are not the only product ends. They're not the only ones who are protesting the Catholic Church. Baptists were, Methodist, Presbyterians, all considered Protestants.

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial
      @CatholicTruthOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The Catholic church was started by Jesus, so the Catholic Church didn't come later as you claim. It's probably why you don't give any names, dates, who started the church, how long it took, and so on.

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial
      @CatholicTruthOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Catholic Church never left her first love. She still loves Christ with all her heart. In fact, Jesus himself said he would be with the church until the end of time, and that he would send the holy spirit to guide it into all truth. All truth means all truth. So we have the promise of Jesus that is not going to go astray, especially since he said the gates of hell would not Prevail against the church.

    This was my very ugly path back to Catholicsm. A huge supporter of anyone debunking this. When I finally relented and read Genesis I couldn't believe my eyes. I wish I'd just listened to my parents and never went there and dabbled, but I did. I'm so grateful I made it back to GOD, but I wish I hadn't taken to loooooooooong, hellish road.

    Very impressed Bryan with your passion and clarity of teaching. Richard Rohr has done so much damage with his teaching, especially amongst priests within the Anglican (Church of England) Churches. I can pretty much guarantee that all of those leaders that have swallowed the purple pill of progressivism have one or many Richard Rohr books on their bookshelves. I destroyed mine several years ago when I realised just how false and damaging they are to the Gospel of Christ. I’m puzzled as to why the Catholic Church has not disciplined him! He has become THE guru for many other false teachers. Keep up the good work Bryan, and may God bless your family and your ministry. Jon

      Thank you! We have the same question about why the Catholic Church hasn't disciplined him. Sadly, there are untouchables in the church it seems. Even in most dioceses, it is the faithful priests who get disciplined while the unfaithful ones never do. I priest told me recently that he wrote an article calling out another priest who was preaching homosexuality. That priest went to the bishop. The good priest was called in and asked to apologize. He said he wouldn't. He also mentioned that it was this other priest who was promoting non-Catholic teachings and morals that should be the one being disciplined. A sad sign of the times I guess. We made a kind of rant video, so to speak on the current situation in the church. If you're interested. God bless. th-cam.com/video/vqXELuqqkmQ/w-d-xo.html

      @@CatholicTruthOfficial If you want to know why there's no discipline in the Church since Vatican II, look up the traditional rite of consecration for bishops and then compare it to the one promulgated by Paul VI. They removed the part about anathematizing every heresy that shall arise against the Church. That's why Rohr and the homosexual bishops of Germany can do whatever they want. The only evil in the eyes of the conciliar church is the traditional Catholic faith as it was always practiced.

    • @CatholicTruthOfficial
      @CatholicTruthOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I know that Pope Benedict and Pope John Paul called out a lot of these new-age heretics and condemned them, but I agree that it needs to be done more often. I think part of the problem is there are many bishops themselves who either don't want to deal with these people and the repercussions or are living liberal and modernist lifestyles themselves.

    The new age movement philosophy is self defeating since it argues that everything is one, but then says some things are an illusion. If all things are one and therefore indistinguishable from each other, then so are the supposed illusions, since the illusions arise from the whole, the one, so how can the illusions not be a part of the whole? It's a completely self defeating philosophy at its core.
    It's ultimately a prideful and rebellious philosophy, since there is no deference or humility required, and no repentance, since you are God and there is no good or evil. It is a completely satanic philosophy.

  • @aisthpaoitht
    @aisthpaoitht ปีที่แล้ว

    I am Catholic, but I think a lot of this is simply restating new age positions and assuming the falsity without explaining why. For example, you say that they believe in monism, that everything is the same, and that nothing is "real" outside of our minds or a larger mind. You are conflating a number of different beliefs in that one statement. Monism =/= idealism. You can certainly be an idealist Catholic rather than a dualist Catholic. In a purely physical sense, everything *is* the same. The atoms that make up your body are no different than the atoms that make up a chair, or water, or anything else. Physically everything is the same. Subjective qualities only exist in the mind. Objects only exist in the mind. We can identify a chair because we have a mental conception of a chair based on the patterns of the atoms we are viewing (based on subjective qualities such as color and feeling). And when you get right down to it, the physical does not exist at all outside of your mind. But you exist in God's mind, so to speak. We all do.
    This is metaphysics and there is nothing new age-y about it. Berkeley addressed this hundreds of years ago and concluded that reality is mental and that the shared universe that we all inhabit is a mental creation of the mind of God. There is absolutely nothing new age or anti-Catholic about that.
    Also, good and bad do not exist except as mental concepts. But the important thing to remember is that, under idealism, the mental *is* reality. So the feeling or concept of "good" is just as real as the chair you are sitting on. Essentially, new age teachings say that you can choose to define your own personal "good." Which is true - God gave us free will and we can delude ourselves into thinking anything we want. But whatever we delude ourselves into thinking will never reach the ultimate Goodness that is God. In fact, much of the time it harms us.

Our action, whether good or bad, really affects the entire Church or whole Mystical Body of Christ. If one member of the Church sins, it has negative effect on the whole Church. What ails a part, the whole suffers. And if a catholic in the state of grace offers his good action or endures pain patiently for the love of God and offers his suffering for the conversion of sinners, his good action has good effect on the whole Church as well. This good/holy person helps the rebuilding and strengthening of our Church. Our every unrepentant sin contributes to the deterioration and weakening of our Church while our every good deed or a suffering endured patiently for love of God and offered for the salvation of souls contributes to the rebuilding and strengthening of our Church.

    You raise many valid points but it seems to me that you don‘t understand these teachings on a experiential, or a deeper level if you will. When simply looking at the words described in the New age, it obviously seems very different from catholic teaching but that is more so due to the faulty vehicle of language. The actual difference is rather minor. The spiritual side of reality, which for us Christian’s also matters most, is very different from the life of the flesh, and the Vatican II encourages us not only to have a dry intellectual understanding of God but a genuine experience of union, achieved through prayer, especially contemplative prayer which is virtually equal to meditation. I say we should remain humble to our degree of knowledge of the spiritual realm, after all we too say „the mystery of faith“ each time before receiving the holy sacrament, so let‘s listen to and love the only One that truly does know, Jesus.
