Your videos have inspired to to save up (I'm only 15) for an air rifle and do some air rifle hunting, as it is much cheaper to shoot than my center fire rifle especially when I don't have a full time job, great videos!
your video's are very interesting to me,air rifle hunting is very uncommon to us in Canada,they are usually used for Sunday pinking and for the youth,high power rifle is what we all mainly use here.....keep them coming HV i really like your productions
@Robocorps2 I used Airarm Field Diadolos in the BSA super 10 here. The Theoben is pellet fussy and the Bisley magnums are the only ones that it likes at 30ft/lb.
My goodness your getting quite an armoury there. I used a JVC 330 for years but i changed to a Canon HF m52 which is lighter but the HF R306 is even smaller and cheaper.
@belgrave1984 It depends what you are after as both guns are similar and made by BSA but the Ultra is a bit smaller and lighter so good for someone small and for using it in small places but you will get far more shots from the superten. They dont make the superten any more but replaced it with the R10.
@rbokes70 I think i'd have to say the BSA as it fits me best. But i simply use them for two different jobs, the Theoben for the rabbits and the BSA for the birds around the farms and hide shooting.
@airgunhunter28 In the UK we would use a lamp mounted to the gun or scope that lights up where you are aimming at and sweep the fields with the beem looking for the bright shinny eyes of the rabbits.
@ETHMO93 I don't know about the cottontail but the rabbits in the UK are best hunted at first light and a couple of hours before dark and in the winter most will hunt them at night with lamps.
@Rhiunlol You only need a licence for an air rifle in the UK if it is over 12ft/lb of energy. You now need a way of keeping the gun safe, so none can take it without your permission, like a gunsafe that should be bolted to an internal solid wall. Here in Northern Ireland you need a licence for any air rifle. Have a look at the BASC websit for more info.
@solutionnegative I only use the one camera so there can be a lot of back and forth, plus a lot of editing when i get home as i chop change and delete what i don't want.
@NRXTM Yes it can be to get the footage i want, some times the rabbit runs off as i am still getting the camera sorted. But thats hunting and filming for ya.
Hey brother. I'm going to be doing a bit of rabbit hunting next week at my friend's farm. I'll be using a Savage MKIII .22lr though. (I can't afford a nice PCP rifle like yours unfortunately)
i like your videos i have just sold my theoben rapid 7 in .25 and bought a weihrauch hw100kt in .22 i like it more than the theoben however the rabbits and rats hate it i just wanted a change im glad i did cheers
@mortalcare There can be a difference in the meat as an old buck wouldn't taste as good as a young doe. Sometimes if you can see the rabbits ears have got torn up it is usually a buck rabbit as their ears get torn up when fighting.
@bloodshot16 Well one its to see if there are any signs of Myxomatosis plus i thought the footage would be interesting as its not just about knocking them over and bagging them.
@1996JackDavies You should get over 100 shots out of it, but i usually charge mine before i go hunting just to make sure it is running on a full charge.

Some good tips on farmyard etiquette to stay on good terms with the farmer and keep your permission as well as not spooking any future prey.

In the UK we usually use air rifles with about 560fps in .22cal or 780fps in .177 for hunting.

Yes more or less, the Theoben is twice the power of the BSA so handy for long range rabbits.

I use a BSA super 10 but they don't make them any more, and replaced them with the R10 mk2, also have a look at the Airarms s410.
@MaximusStimulus There isn't a closed season for rabbits in the UK as you can hunt them all year round.

@powerplugg I eat some of the rabbits and some i use as bait for crows, the rest i feed to my cats who love them.
