  • A few more bunny's in the bag but the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder and wetter making it harder to stalk rabbits.

    Thanks for another great rabbit hunting video. I truly appreciate the time it takes for you to sit down, edit and compile your hunting videos. I have just started rabbit hunting with my Benjamin Marauder .22 air rifle and got my first (3) the other day. Very healthy and very tasty after cooking them up in the oven. I can't wait to get out and get a few more. Well, thank you once again for an awesome video! :)

    Another very enjoyable video! Your accuracy and rabbit to shot ratio is incredible, some of the best I've ever seen, regardless of the caliber! Thank-you for all your efforts.

    Nice video and shooting once again. You gave a good interview on the recent episode of Fieldsports Britain, episode 98, 12th October 2011. I will be getting into this side of shooting very, very soon. Cheers.

    Excellent shooting. And the narrating, presentation of your videos are, in my opinion the best airgun hunter/video presenter around. And very apparent that you love what your doing. I am always eager to see the new videos you make, mark my words, your name will be in the mouths of many generations of airgun hunters. Take care.

    When I was younger I used to go for cotton tails here in Canada . I used my recurve at 24 pound draw.I used to use a big broad head so the arrow would stay in the rabbit. There were times that I would get 6 rabbits but I usually shot 3 or 4. That was a challenge for sure . You have to spot them hiding in the long grass or thick weeds. Hey your video was great. thanks

    Another good vid mate. Was out on the rabbits last saturday with the .22lr. Seems to be quite a few over here with mixy. I use the same M84 camo as yourself and found it difficult to get a jacket that fitted, but it's by far the best camo for blending in to our countryside. Good luck with your next exploit!

    Thank you. I'm using a pcp powered .22cal 30ft/lb Theoben MFR air rifle. The best way to make a spring powered air rifle quite is to get someone to tune it as the spring piston makes more noise than anything else on firing.

    You have amazing shot placement. I've seen rabbits still kick after being shot with 915 fpe muzzle energy and 300 fpe at 300 yards. You're using 12 fpe and making clean shots. Amazing.

    Hi again HV. I was out hunting on saturday here in Donegal on a farm that i can always count on to get a rabbit or two,but after a walk around a few field's there was nothing about ,not even any sign of life at the rabbit burrow's. But i did notice something and that was several buzzurd's flying over the area of the farm.I came home without the cat's dinner, she was not pleased.The population of these guy,s seem to be on the increase in a big way.This may be the end of a good hunt.

    @treeratbuster Its probably becasue i only go out when it looks nice but i have a few hunts to come that will show how wet it is now. The myxi seems to have hit nearly all the places i hunt again this year. I used to lamp but the ground is so wet i gave up as the rabbits hear you wading through the mud long before you get in range.
    Glad you liked the vid.

    @MrCoonTrapper I don't know, myxomatosis is spread by the flea's which carry the disease and spread it as they jump from one rabbit to another as they bread or when they are close together under ground. But you'd be best asking a vet.

  • @HuntersVermin
    @HuntersVermin  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @charleyBIGspuds1 It really depends on what you want to use the gun for as most hunters use the .22 while Ft or HFT shooters use .177 for competition and hunting. The .22 has more knock down power but the .177 with heavier 10 grain pellets are a good tool as well for rabbits and head shots. But both will put game in the bag cleanly with a well placed shot.

  • @HuntersVermin
    @HuntersVermin  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @pharoah246 No the rabbit would be long gone by then, I actually have the camera mounted to the top of my scope for the shot the rest is filmed off of a tripod.

    another great video as usual! I was wondering with winter coming up, where do you usually find rabbits durin the cold weather and snow?

  • @HuntersVermin
    @HuntersVermin  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @oakland002 I take it you mean a single pump pcp air rifle like the Webley Paradigm these aren't a new idea but they have got a lot better over the years but they would be heavier than a normal pcp as they need a cocking lever so you can pump the air into them. Other wise they are more or less the same as a bolt action pcp except that you don't need to buy a divers bottle and charging gear you can pump it up where ever you are.

    @JustWantNAccount Well most airguners zero their sights for about 30-35 yards, below that range the pellet will hit higher and beyond it the pellet will hit lower, but you have to shoot at paper targets at different ranges to find out how much on your gun. I use a lazer rangefinder to help judge long range shoots but with practice you can learn to judge shorter ranges out to 35-40 yards by eye.

  • @HuntersVermin

    Both rifles should have the power for hunting even with the UK 11.5ft/lb limit so you won't need an FAC (so long as your not in N'Ireland) Another one you could look at is the Weihrauch HW99s, but if you can find a gun shop that you can go to and see them first it will help you make up you mind before you spend your cash.

    Hi great movie. I have a question, the zeroing of the scope is so that you have the center of the scope on the kill zone, right? How do you now if the distance you are shooting is the distance that the scope is set for, and how do you compensate if the target is closer or farther away?
    Can you make a movie about that please?
    I just bought a Spring air gun, "Diana Mod.34 B" I havent even zeroed the scope but i cant stop wathing your movies. :D
