  • I've been sent a load of left-handed utensils and gadgets (plus some novelty items like a left-handed clock?!) as a left handed person I found this really interesting. Check out Stuart's film here polybius.film/watchnow

If Barry's wearing that T-Shirt, Mrs B needs one with the slogan, "Barry, NOT the toaster!" With flames suitably licking around.

Haven't even gotten through the first gadget yet, but I had to comment about the left-handed clock. My barber actually has one of these clocks set on the wall opposite the mirror so when you're getting your haircut and you look in the mirror you see the time in the correct fashion, always thought it was kind of neat.

All those times having a tape measure upside down i never realized its because I'm left handed

As a lefty, the only scissors I’ve ever bought specifically for the left hand are fabric scissors. No one else in my circle can use them because they’re curved around the handle. 😈

As a lefty that was raised by righties, you pretty much confirmed what I suspected about left-handed utensils; they’re neat, but we’ve learned to adapt to the right-handed versions too well by now. Thanks for reviewing them!

Makes me think of Flanders Leftorium store from The Simpsons.

I did not realize I was reading the measuring tape upside down as a lefty until this video

I think us lefties have learnt to adapt to right handed products over the years. Which obviously makes us more superior 😁

I think the left-handed thing with the exacto-knives is in what direction the blade-retractor faces when you hold it. with a right-handed exacto-knive the thumb-push-thing is in the palm of your hands while the blade is facing down, with the left-handed knife the pusher is near your thumb

I am a leftie, as is my daughter. I think some of these gadgets would make my life so much easier. I still find it a shame that left-handed gadgets are more expensive and harder to get than right-handed ones....... I hope one day this will change for my daughters sake......

I'm a lefty that used to cut with her left hand, and since my brother is the same we used to have lefty scissors at home. But eventually I learned to cut with my right hand as it was more common for regular scissors to be available, and now I couldn't go back to lefty ones.

I’m a leftie and used my left hand to cut. Finally finding left handed scissors was a god send!

We had a clock like that in the 70's. We had it in the bar. It was supposed to reinforce being drunk.

The left-handed Stanley knife has the blade control (to extend/pull back the blade) on the other side. We righties use our thumbs for that. In the left-handed version, you can do the same.

Finally! Nearly everything is made for right handed people! I’m so glad to see some left handed stuff!

Left-handed scissors have a place when you're trying to cut along a line due to the different point of view, whereas using right-handed scissors you'll tend to cut on the wrong side of the line or find yourself veering off at an angle.
