This scene was absolutely stunning on every level. From Batman’s heartfelt apology for not understanding Selina’s hardship, to realizing they are in the same fight, and the slight sexiness in the performances. And all against the breathtaking backdrop of Gotham City at dawn, and this score. I was in Batman graphic novel heaven. Phenomenal.

SPOILER: I like that Selina talked about the reality she faced. Being poor and survived while the corrupt white men controlled the city. She revealed her secret and that made Batman realized that he had no idea about Selina's hardship. The cat kissed the bat for the first time.

Well she was a black orphan who’s dad (who just happened to be white) runs the entire city and killed her mom, whilst allowing social services to take her away. The line was a little out of place, but when you think about it it makes sense from her perspective.
@@quantummuffin1895 Yeah, Selina Kyle's been mixed race in a number of Batman stories/graphic novels over the last couple decades and has played a major role in her life across numerous arcs. The decision to make her mixed race in "The Batman" had little to do with "being woke", same with casting an excellent actor of Jeffrey Wright's status as Gordon, other than giving you an excuse to whine because you don't have some Tampax on hand.

This theme in particular really solidified my feeling I had that this film really felt like a Frankenstein, the wolf man, and the rest of the black and white horror and tragedy films. Idk if anybody else felt that watching the film, since the first time I watched it in theaters till now it still feels like those films and I love it. Especially for some reason when Batman had the flair in his hand it really felt like those for some reason

I think he definitely threw in past songs in but incorporated his own into it as well but it sounds great
