      And also can I Control it from the Motherboard Software (I will be using MSI)

    Bought the Performance version of this case, best use of the cash and also the first Lian Li product I have used, can't recommend enough, easy to build in, tonnes of options and expandability. Build quality is superb and I actually prefer the magnets as you know it's closed and it just feels satisfying. You are great at doing reviews so keep it up, subscribed and wish I found your channel sooner bud :)

    I personally like the solid "thunk" when you close the bottom side panels. I know it's a bit loud, and you showed that it causes some wear and tear, but I'm okay with both of those things, at least when the upside is what seems to be a solid, secure magnetic connection where I don't need to worry about the panels falling down on their own. How often are we really expecting to be opening those panels, especially in an environment where the louder noise is going to matter? How many people build PCs in rooms where other people are sleeping? And paint is going to wear off, more so at points of physical contact like that. It's to be expect, in my mind, and probably won't effect the exterior appearance of the chassis much anyway.
    BTW, great review, as always. I'm glad to see the channel is growing (if slower than it deserves). Keep up the good work!

    • @AVTechy
      @AVTechy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's fair, it certainly doesn't detract from the overall feel of the case. I would have liked to see a touch of foam/a little more foam to prevent the clash and remove the problem entirely, but it's not a big deal by any means.

    "It wouldn't be AV Techy without a compatibility slide!"
    Definitely a hallmark of the channel's reviews. I'm still running my Raijintek Styx build that I was inspired to build after your 2018 videos on the case showing how PSU and GPU sizing needed to be planned based on case dimensions. Great case comparison methodology in these new videos, though I do agree either lower rpm test fans or high dBA benchmark seems needed to stay out of the stall zone. Keep up the awesome reviews!

    This is the most build-useful review on this case I've seen. The warning about the slot plate screws is great, (and totally agree) . Regarding the magnetic catches--the noise seems hardly relevant---how many times will one need access to the basement after the build? Indeed it suggest that the magnets are strong enough to not need a screw or latch mechanism if the system is moved.
    I may have a build coming up, pending my boss' budget approval, and your review definitely confirms why this case is the best for me to build with (cooling efficiency is it's other great feature, which I'll also need).
    Great job!

    The hard drive cage can be removed via the front panel. Just remove the 3-fan assembly and slide out the front. It'll take a bit of force to get up over the edge, but it can be done. I've built two computers with this case and am building a 3rd soon. This case can do it all. This case has enough room to do any kind of build. One day I'm going to attempt a custom water cool build in it.

    I subbed to your channel and liked this video for the tip given at 6:26
    I have this exact case and recently had to move my top 2 120mm fans to place a radiator and fans above for cpu water cooling. When I looked at the bottom to relocate the fans I saw there were screw holes already in place (I thought this was so smaller fans can be put here). After watching this part of your video though I now realize I can just remove the two metal plates and use their screw holes for my 120mm fans. Long comment but here I thought I knew everything there was to know about this case (have had it for about a year now).

    I appreciate your detail in this review, but with all due respect I think some of it was a bit overkill knit picking. Lian-Li is one of the highest quality producers of PC products if not the highest in my opinion. Truth be known you could always find something that does not suit ones fancy in any product. This case in my opinion has so many positives offered that some of the points made here as negatives are really splitting hairs. I feel price for performance is balanced and the quality of materials makes the cost justifiable.

    • @AVTechy
      @AVTechy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If highlighting small shortfalls in a product is nit picking, which it probably is, then that's exactly the content I want to produce. It's only fair to highlight issues, however small, when they exist.
      I do it with all products, and frankly this kind of comment feels to me like it's been written by someone who hasn't watched the whole video, because someone who had would know even I downplayed the issues in light of all the positives.
      Just to be completely straight about this, even if a product is really really good, like this one, I still need to highlight problems that I encounter, no matter how small. That's what makes the review well rounded, and fully detailed.
      As far as I'm concerned, paint damage due to the closing mechanism of a panel is problematic, which may be a small deal to some, but a big deal to others. Highlighting such a problem is only useful information, as without it that might be a negative surprise after purchasing it.
      Lian Li or not, nobody's special and every notable detail is worth mentioning.
