LIAN LI LANCOOL 216 MID-TOWER PC CASE AT A GLANCE:
High airflow mid-tower design
Supports up to E-ATX (under 280mm) motherboards
Specially designed front 160mm fans
Dual locations for front I/O
Full size GPUs up to 392mm supported
Adjustable motherboard position for two cooling modes aircooled mode or watercooling mode
BLOWING UP A STORM
The Lian Li Lancool 216 has been specially designed for maximum airflow, alongside being optimised for air and AIO cooling. The front and top panel feature fine mesh that permits ample air to flow both into and out of the case. Furthermore, Lian Li has totally redesigned the front fans for the Lancool 216, utilising dual 160mm fans. They are able to produce an astounding 118.85CFM of airflow with a static pressure of 3.10mmH2O. In addition to this, these fans are incorporated into a specially designed shroud that channels air for minimal turbulence.
There are also plenty of options for further cooling. At the top of the case, there is space to install a 360mm radiator with an overall thickness of 77mm. Furthermore, you can install a 120mm or 140mm fan at the rear and two 120mm or 140mm fans at the base of the chassis. One final innovation is the option to mount a 120mm fan dedicated to drawing air along the GPU, ensuring optimum performance can be achieved.
BEAUTIFUL CABLE MANAGEMENT
The Lian Li Lancool 216 features many innovations to help keep your gaming PC build clean and tidy. Firstly, behind the motherboard tray there are three Velcro straps situated next to the rubber pass-through grommets. This is perfect for bundling up multiple cables into a single run. In addition, a further two Velcro straps reside above the PSU chamber, ideal for holding excess cables away from the power supply ventilation. Finally, around the back are three small clips ideal for cleanly routing the CPU 8-pin cable.
Furthermore, Lian Li has made it easier to cable manage your fans as well. There are the standard channels for the front fans, but there are also similar routing options at the top. These provide easy access to the rear chamber without having to enter the main chamber.

Just bought this case recently and it was great to build in. Best cable management I have ever come across.
Glad you like it!
I got this case & I love it. It really does a better job of mounting those larger fans without having all those mounting bars for those other fans blocking airflow.
yeah the bars are a great inclusion, it is my daily driver case now for the video editing pc and it is definitely growing on me
I just got the black non rgb. Loved the case. Easiest build ever. Only thing was the gpu sag bracket did not work for my gpu. 7900xt fan was being blocked by bracket. Just bought me cheap $13 bracket off Amazon that worked fine.
Thank you for getting a close up look at the fan and rgb controller. Going to make my life much easier when I start building for a friend.
Glad I could help, I try and make the videos with the things I look for in a case and case review, most channels overlook the finer details
Great review as always Mike and Lady Kath. I really like that case for sure. Well thought out in the design of it. I actually do like the 160mm fans. I agree the rear fan should have also been ARGB. Not a huge deal breaker. Waiting to see how it works out as your daily driver rig. Take care. Cheers
just uploaded the follow up video with the build and my thoughts, overall i like it and for the money you are getting a lot of features
Sunning case, and a great review (as always) Thanks M&K!
Glad you enjoyed it!
i have this case and i absolutely love it! it looks so clean
I love it!
I like this case Great review as always
yes it has grown on me, i was not sure about it but now it is feeling like one of the best cases in it's price range
I bought this case a couple months ago and it done not come with any fans, i emailed them and told them there where no fans so they sent me a 3 pack of uni fans, but the case is a pretty good case, nice video mate.👍
wow was a decent thing for them to do
Nice review Mike, i hope they might eventually make an MATX with a beastly 160mm/200mm fan upfront. Like the lian-li lancool 205m mesh
yeah that could be cool
Great review Mike.l’m thinking of getting one and transferring the nephews gaming components from their Corsair icue 220TCase into it.Hope it’s lighter than my Lancool lll 👏⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
it is probably the best case in its price class
Was initially surprised at the price but watching this video highlights what you are buying. The design reflects flexibility for every build variation, the quality is easy to see and easily permits upgrades at later dates! As for the fans, love the 160s but how do you set diff speeds for extra fans added bearing in mind size differences. Great review Mike and Kath 🐈👍
yeah the two front fans really need to be connected to the hub and the other fans can use the hub for RGB but connect the PWM side of it to the motherboard ports, that is what i have done and gives a much better control
Been so busy here brother Mike. I will be building in the black version of this this weekend. My son wanted the black one.
it is a really cool case to build in, if you need anything when building ping me and i'll help out if needed
very detailed review Mike! Iv'e seen about 50 reviews of this case and none of them been so precise. Still waiting for Overclockers to FINALLY get black version, it's available from US but for double the price, my Meshify C is too small and unefficient since i swap 240 to 280 AiO and had to install it at the front in awkward way :/
thanks appreciate the comment, i am sort of wishing i had the black version now as well
Mike's Unboxing & Review is Worthy of a Support comment. Like & a share 🙂
thanks william
So many options. I like this case, but I have a few reservations about front fans with odd measurements. I have to front mount my AIO radiator due to ram clearance, so I'm not sure how much air those can push in a push pull config. Still love the features, especially that front panel section being movable.
ram clearance will be fine with top mounted rad, there is a ton of room there
very nice case and information about it :)
Glad you liked it!
I think that case is alwhite, I’d buy one. Great video thanks Mike.
It is! and after using it for a few weeks, i am sold on it. would buy another if i needed a case
Sounds nice
I also just got this. It's a really great case. But some downside. If you replace the two 160mm fans with three 120mm or 140mm, there will be a space beside the fans. It's not that bad looking but if you're particular with it, it might affect you. Also, the bottom left side is see through, So if you tuck your cables within the psu, which you might do, it will be seen a little. Last is inside the case just above the HDD case, there's a huge space so your cables might also be seen. I don't mind the downside though. It's a great case for me. Good cable mgt and easy to build with. Just a food for thought to those who wants this case
were you able to fit three 140mms at the front?
looks like the montech case ,i would take the 140 fans out and put 120s in the front , i can also say that the montech case as it is familiar including this one are a good case and for atx boards
It would perform worse with 120s on the front. Those 160s are great.
Check GN's review and testing of this case
@@vectivuz1858 that i agree with you totally 100% but i have tested the fact of having three at the front intake and two at the top outtake and one at the back outtake the air moves quickly in and out also creating a dust free for a few months more and have no problems it also depends on your gpu and cpu of course
@@XENONEOMORPH1979 I see but won't adding more exhaust fans instead of replacing the 160s at the front do the same thing?
@@vectivuz1858 each to their own i took them out put them in another build the 120s are doing fine used a controller as to not use them on the board so that less heat is coming off the board
as itneeded the 8 pin for cpu then gpu so less heat coming off the 12 volt and 5 volt rails .
Hard choice between this and Fractal meshify 2
yeah, for me i think the lianli, but pros and cons either way
@@mikesunboxing
Fractal came out great
Airflow is great … plus I got it for $99
drive.google.com/file/d/1jJghAPwIFzElKEOISpf8C_9d-Xab-37d/view?usp=drivesdk
I would have bought this instead of the Corsair 4000D Airflow if it came out sooner, the rotatable pcie bracket for vertical mounting and free fanhub is a no-brainer for budget cases.
yeah it is a really good case and is closer to the 5000d in terms of flexibility and 4000d size
Bought the case, but I added front filter and argb module control for it.
Black, white.. Soon, the new beige case 😁
beige cases looking forward to that
Thanks for the great review! Do you think a slim 360mm radiator can work in the top while a 360mm radiator is on the front?
Not sure i would need to try it, i don't think it will though
Without dust filters I can see this case getting extremely dusty very quickly. It does look nice though!
so far the front filter has done a remarkably good job
It does I have worked on a lot of the ones from the series and they are dust suckers.
Bedrooms I have found to be the worst.
Is GPU and CPU cooling better in this case than the be quiet Pure Base 500DX? Thanks
yes it should be
Hello. Can i activate only rings argb lightning and off centre argb lightning?
I prefer Lancool II which is also cheaper.
Is a support or some sort of bracket needed to mount a gpu vertically?
there is an included set of pillars to rest the pcie riser cable on
Noob question: so if i put all my pwm fans on this hub i don't have a way to control them individually?
correct
All white at the front All white at the back ..All white. I'm wondering how long it is until we get liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide cooling system.
hopefully soon and cheap
Can the PSU/hdd cover be removed if i don't like it?
no sorry
@@mikesunboxing thanks
