Jetstar Airways JQ295 : Flying from Auckland to Queenstown

After much anticipation, I was finally heading to Queenstown. This time, I'm flying aboard Jetstar on their 12 years old Airbus A320-200, VH-VGR.
We arrived at Auckland Airport when the sun had already emerged over the horizon and we were greeted with an immensely long line at security. This made me relieved that we didn't arrive later so there was enough time for us to get through. But before that, we promptly checked in and grabbed a quick bite before lining up. It took around 30 minutes but we finally got through. Some passengers unfortunately did end up missing their flight. I got some great footage of activity on the apron and some time later, the plane parked at Gate 21. We then boarded and I settled in Seat 21A. Then we pushed back after the crew made their announcements, and taxied to the runway before taking off towards Queenstown in relatively cloudy conditions. I was very eager to see the mountains as we headed south. During the flight, I received my meal of a homestyle sandwich paired with tea that I'd pre-paid earlier online. The sandwich was quite nice but not really filling. The weather was unfortunately not as clear as I'd hoped but I did manage to get a few shots of the mountains on arrival. Soon after, we landed in Queenstown, then taxied and parked at Gate 4. After disembarking, we proceeded into the terminal and once we collected our bag from Carousel 2, we went and collected our rental car. The brisk chilly weather was enough to tell me where we were, and I couldn't wait to explore not only beautiful Queenstown but its surroundings in Otago, Southland and Canterbury. Jetstar succeeded with another affordable yet enjoyable journey and I was glad to fly them once more. Much appreciated for the support and thanks for watching :)

We flew Air New Zealand from Wellington to Queenstown. The views as you approach the airport are stunning. The Remarkables, range of mountains are so close. You can hardly believe you are just about to land. Queenstown is a fabulous location. You can do a day trip to Milford Sound from there. We had a great day when we did it. It does involve an early start at 7.00 am, but it is well worth it. Mountains, lakes, turquoise rivers; Queenstown has it all. Milford Sound is huge and reminded us of Norway and its fiords.

This is what we did last year in August when we were going home the people at Queenstown airport for Jetstar were saying we were late when we were not and we had to delay our flight so we will never be flying Jetstar anymore instead we will be flying air New Zealand
