They will either stay or leave. You will get a different audience but it wont be the same. I assume anyway. But nice car and content
There's not much debate. You can buy an SXT (buy in September, I bought mine for $20k in 2019) then drop in a supercharger, new tune, new exhaust, and new intake.... and still pay less with more HP than buying a unmodded R/T (like $36k now). I was told to change the transfer to the 3.80 if I do. Has anyone done so? Apparently the supercharger will eventually goober up the stock 2.62 transfer from added torque. I'll likely drop in the supercharger and keep it a sleeper. But just adding a throttle controller made a decent difference in throttle response. I also have the Borla ATAK exhaust installed (myself) and love the sound. It growls like a muscled V6. Even more so in Sport Mode. Great video... makes me want the supercharger more now.
Hey man we’ve spoken on here before.. I have a ‘18 Dodge Challenger SXT+ V6 & I’m about to order the American Thunder Flowmaster to make it a bit louder.. I saw your vid about it, should I just get the K&N cold air intake instead?? I think you said your pops has both of them.. My only goal is to make it louder w/ as minimal drone as possible!! And how can I order those tires in this vid?? Thanks in advance
Nice vid as always bro I was thinking about SC my V6 but I think I'm just going to go V8 Scat pack Shaker I want both of back wheels spinning when I do burnouts plus the sound of a V8 is ground shaking.
depends on you tbh and what you seek. The ripp kit althought powerful I have read many ppl had some issue with it, whether big or small, belt failure, blow off valve issues, dip stick breaking for SC oil, rear diff being damaged due to excessive gain over stock and even PCM issues. When going the modded route this is all likely to come along but if youre willing to spend that time and $$ go for it. The upside for me being a V6 guy, is my car is almost paid off so Id keep it and mod it instead of getting a whole new carnote aka debt for the next 5yrs. but you max out with V6 SC and supporting mods at like low 12s 1/4 and mid 4s 0-60 unless you go CRAZY and really get deep with it then ofc internals and all will be changed. A scatpack ofc has more potential powerwise and that V8 sound but does cost more to have and maintain. Im in the same boat as you but Ill further mod my V6 with easier bolt ons like TB, manifold, ignition coils etc. and wait to see how ripp fairs longterm. shorterm it still has me iffy so Ive held off on that.
@@RomanDeHonney tbh youre in my boat. My fastest 0-60 was 5.4 perfect conditions but in the cold ass NJ weather. Any other time of the yr im 5.6-5.7. Im going the easy mod route 1st, TB, intake maifold, ripps own ignition coils which dynoed 12whp gain and a 93 octane tune. all of which would put me at like 315-330whp and like 320tq all for like $2,000-$2,500 including labor costs. Performance wise, this will get me 5.0-5.3 0-60 consistantly basically stock r/t 5.7 numbers. I'd take that with a paid OWNED car and keep that SC on deck for whenever i feel 100% bout it and pull.the trigger. Plus the mods I listed will only compliment that SC so they wont be in vain or $$ lost. Thats what Im leaning towards and suggest for you if you plan on keeping the V6 longterm cause yea that new carnote and V8 insurance and V8 mpg is not what I want to spend my $$ on lol. as much as Id love a scatpack. I only get 16mpg on my V6 so I can imagine a 6.4 will be probably 12mpg at best for my daily travels
Please provide some data on the claims you're stating? A dip stick in the supercharger is no where near close to anything to physically break it. Rear diff failure could be likely due to a very sticky tire which can happen on a completely stock vehicle.
@@RIPPMODS youtubers on here I wont say names, forums, in person and on instagram. Ive asked around to the average joes which is basically 95% of your consumers and they all seemed to have an issue related to the SC whether big or small. Some did regret it, others love it but did say think it through. Like I said until I see the true reliability and longevity of the kit, I will hold off. I dont go based off sponsored builts since I am not one of them and ofc they might keep hush of certain issues since they arent paying out of their own pocket to replace parts. The kit and installation itself with proper tune will run upwards of $7,000 or more, like I said , the average joe wouldnt want to spend this just to create a longterm headache and money grabber. The power is there yes, its proven, my concern is the issues it may bring that I have learned doing my research and speaking to kit owners both in person and on social media especially if the car is daily driven. thanks my 2 cents

Good luck my friend be smart and after you get the super charger you can start customizing stuff on the car witch is the funniest part for me
I'll say this id rather have a supercharged V6 that only I've owned then a scat pack that multiple people have owned. Only people who like to go fast buy challengers. Its a beautiful car but its not super flashy. So most challenger drivers drive the shit out of their cars but hemi owners drive the shit out of their cars just that much more. I see more clapped out V8s for sale then clapped out V6s because the few people who buy V6s usually aren't racers but they occasion they like to speed. I own an SXT because I've loved the look of challengers since I was a kid but I needed a daily and I do alot of road trips so gas mileage is important to me more then being able to race some stranger at a light. Also if you have a paid off SXT nothings stopping you from doing a hemi conversion yes its expensive but probably only a few more thousand then supercharging and you won't have to pick up a car that may have been red lined daily and missed oil changes. If you can do a hemi swap yourself it'd probably be cheaper then just buying a hemi plus you'd get the satisfaction of saying you built it and you'd be much more in tune with your car. New engine, some wiring harness adjustments, new axles, a tune, and new braking system would be all youd need as far as I know but don't quote me on it.
@@aarenhall4450 yeah I said a hemi swap on a V6 (if you do it yourself) is cheaper then buying a new hemi challenger. A crate motor is maybe 6k or less, an sxt can be had for around 20k sometimes less sometimes more depending on the trim and a brand new hemi challenger starts around 32k I believe. So if you've already got a V6 then it's alot cheaper to hemi swap with a brand new hemi motor then to buy a whole new hemi challenger.
@@jthebk3864 you’re gonna have to end up upgrading the brakes, transmission, drivetrain, pcm, radiator, fuel pump, engine mounts, wiring harness. You’re gonna end up spending the same amount if not more. Not to mention it being like an extra 1-2k to ship the motor

I own a supercharged V6 Mustang that puts down 420 HP at the tire on a Mustang Dyno and does 0-60 pulls in the low 4s. Although I like the car, the V8 is a better platform. Aftermarket support for a V6 is limited. You can't even put headers on Pentastar V6 because the exhaust manifold is integrated as part of the head. A scatpack puts down more power bone stock than the supercharged V6. A well equipped R/T with a few performance mods will outperform the supercharged V6. Mod for mod you'll get more performance out of a V8. The V8 sounds better. I hated the sound of the performance exhaust on my V6 and returned it back to stock. The V8 keeps its value better than the V6. Unless you want an AWD Charger, I can't think of any reason to get the V6.
390hp....it's almost 300 stock. A lot of money for 100 hp man....A lot of money for 100 HP gain.
How does the super charger sound with a borla atak catback
@ajespi13 I installed this kit with my Borla ATAK kit and it sounds great. I'll try to post new video of it.
GeOwen Vaughn go with the exhaust first. The intake won’t make it as loud. As for the tires I think it’s just lettering he added.
Sounds like ur timing chain a lil loud
Why the one wheel burnout?
Madan Jain not sure if it’s from the sc or just a thing but i seen that happening with a lot of challengers
Where do you buy your supercharger and how much??
Nice vid as always bro I was thinking about SC my V6 but I think I'm just going to go V8 Scat pack Shaker I want both of back wheels spinning when I do burnouts plus the sound of a V8 is ground shaking.
Both wheels spin now, 3.09 lsd swap! Lol
I have to find a way to get one of these!
Driven Daily they’re insane man, when my warranty’s up pretty sure I’ll get one
Supercharger for sure.
Dope ride fam!
it still sounds like a car with one of those fart can exhaust systems hahaha
What size wheels are on it
depends on you tbh and what you seek.
Project {Anti-Venom} yeah the thought of have a car note longer just doesn’t sit well with me. I’m so torn meeting up with Jordan made it worse!
@@projectanti-venom7000 with over 8000 kits sold worldwide we have a lot of exposure to both good and bad reviews, additionally there are people who install their own kits and/or have shoddy work done. Well, I have the same exhaust. Supercharger next.
Had to subscribe after the show Khalid joke 😂😂😂
Hey did u say you had a louder exhaust because i hate the noise that makes and if its that bad sounding im not gnna consider it im on the same fence was thinking bout supercharging my sxt plus and i love the interior of the plus the interior on the newer ones are sick !!!! 🤒
So I've hear anytime you add a supercharger you have to upgrade the transmission and the rear is this true?
You don’t need to but probably might, they’re designed to take a lot more load than the stock v6 outputs
Please give me a link to the beat
Scat pack? Are you rich? Lol AWD RIPP would put that to all 4 wheels, not just 2 😎 I want an R/T in the worst way but I keep talking myself out of it because of the terrible, holey, windy, roads and bad weather. Plus, where I live is so crowded that I wouldn't really get to feel it as my daily. The sound of that v6 was very unique tho. Thanks for making this video.
Bunny Meats yeah it’ll be way more unique of a build the charger scat packs are super cheap inside too
@@RomanDeHonney I completely agree! I LOVE ventilated leather seats that don't come in the R/Ts that I looked at. Also, the screens of the uconnect are even smaller in them 😳
Please How To buy the same hood?!
eBay!
Wat kind of exhaust does he have ?
Straight pipes
Charger and Challenger are the exact same inside minus gauge font.
Literally that’s why I got the camaro instead
Did you get the super charger RIP after all?
No I ended up buying a Kia stinger gt
@@RomanDeHonney bro I saw one the other day. Those are nice.
Well man when I get the borla atak I'll send you a pic of my beautiful F8 Green challenger with stripe .
R Nav that exhaust is my all time favorite!
Hey one more thing.. I noticed your thumbnail is a burn out image. If you plan on using the Tazer to do a burn out with the RIPP, you won't be able to. The differential for the GT is a one wheel peel 😔
Bunny Meats I’m too poor to waste my tires 😂
@@RomanDeHonney lol I have two that need replaced already. Damned Tazer 🤣
Yeah that was a tazer linelock one wheel peel lol
@@SuperCremeFraiche mine does that. It's usually the passenger tire that peels 😔
Whatcha mean?? I have a 2016 charger AWD V6 and I burn both tires in RWD mode all the time with or without using linelock.
lol that one wheel peel tho
Got a 3.09 lsd now
@@SuperCremeFraiche you did it right man, congrats
The fart pipes don't make it faster. I took them off of my Ripp Supercharger Chrysler 300S and put the stock quiet system back on.
But don’t you lose HP by doing that?
Better air flow = more HP.
More HP = faster.
You won’t feel that extra 8-10 HP from the new exhaust though. So no complaints here.
Nice video man !
But it needs a LSD for sure 👍🤟💪😈
he probably turned off traction control which disabled the BLD which would've left 11 marks. on dodge cars that dont have lsd your supposed to only turn traction control to sport mode so the BLD (brake lock differential) can lock up both wheels together.
Do u have a email have some questions about the borla exhaust system thanks
William Hess rumdada@gmail.com
DudDude looks and sounds just like Russell Wilson
Man I need his money haha
What wheels and lowering springs are on the car? That fitment is on point👌🏼
You should go for the scatty to hatty.
Get the v-6 , I got my 2019 sxt at a killer price with 8000 miles on it ! For 22,000 and I have a ripp on the way .putting the super charger in and exhaust ( i already have my exhaust done ! The best place was a shop who does custom exhausts so they made me the new x version welded brackets etc. For 600.00! Screw paying 1300$! The best thing is it drives like a regular commuter car for day to day, better gas milage and the cost difference ' well do the numbers. Most street races at alight around town etc , you will destroy the 5.7 and scat pac, mustangs etc! My boy does it all the time there spinning and your gooooone! Good luck my friend be smart and after you get the super charger you can start customizing stuff on the car witch is the funniest part for me
supercharge that man
0:10 looks like it needs a better tune-appears to be running rich @ wot.
We are running rich
Im a year late but what your saying is way more expensive then a supercharge set up and tune
Dude engine swapping is gonna run you a lot more then supercharging lmao
@@aarenhall4450 all depends my dude, if you have a paid off SXT and some spare cash and mechanical skills and maybe a donor car for the other stuff it could be done haha
Here's another one
Damn tell that man to get Gina a new diff #OneWheeiePeelie
Cheap way to get scat pack power keep it and supercharge it no you want to be like the big boys dont do crap on it and wait the right moment to trade it
Yeah the scat just sounds amazing pure stock
If you're not 25, and you don't want to pay high ass insurance. I could of got a rt for $15 more a month. But my insurance would of been way more
Get a Scat. It will retain a higher resale value than a modified v6. Plus Scats Packs are classics in the Dodge community.
You the lighter weight version fam, DJ Salad
Ayyy man hahah you look like flex Washington 😂
Go scatpack, the sound of the 6.4 is too good. Plus the SC will more likely have alot of problems down the road
Get the scat pack and pilot a RIPP on that
😆😂😆😭 u do look like DJ khaled
Lol
That dude is confused
Seemed cool til he hit the gas....
SRT 123 not a fan of the exhaust?
V6
Scat Pack.
No not DJ Khaled I was going to say DJ Drama
Lol
390hp....it's almost 300 stock. A lot of money for 100 hp man....A lot of money for 100 HP gain. Like that much case....what 3,500 for charger...thn price of tune....man imo you were better off trading it in. Int to supercharger my sxt so bad but for 5k I'm going to need a lil more than 100 horse.... fuck give it a 75hp shot of nitrous
390 to the wheels, stock sxt who is like 260 maybe so that’s 130whp increase. That’s substantial.
@@RomanDeHonney stopppppp, I have an 18' sxt with simple mods. Full cat back, throttle body, Cai, diff rear end and a few more small mods. Mine came off the Dyno at over 300. 0 to 60 5.2sec. so....were talking less than a hundred horse for what???? 4g for the charger and what's a good tune cost? Over a g I imagine.
Hey it’s not my purchase lol 5.2 is slow though 😛
Reminds me of my dog shitting
yeah a fart can sound
V6 lol
Hello get the v8 . Saludos
ooo good its got an extended spoiler which does nothing for the car
Pro chargers sound like shit the car is amazing but the sound the Pro charger makes is such a turn off..
Nahh man. V6 ain't where it's at. And before one goes out customizing their V6's think about this? For the money you spend on upgrades you could use that on a down payment for a real V8! Eventually that pentastar engine gonna break down. You know why? Because it's WASN'T meant to to take on all that in which you did. It just wasn't designed that way. I have a 2020 charger BLACKTOP RWD. Why? Because I didn't want to spend all my hard earned dollars being at the gas pump everyday plus I like to smoke! Drink! 😜🙄 Me behind the wheel of a SCAT, HELLCAT, REDEYE SPELL'S DISASTER. PLUS A NUCCA TIRED OF BEING LOCKED UP. SO, I DROPPED $30 GRAND CASH ON A CAR THAT I ENJOY AND LOVE. Im gonna supercharge my 17 sxt because im only 20 and my insurance would be throught the roof if I bought a v8🥹
What's the mpg on that ?
19ish I believe
