*✎ Role:* Striker, Crowd Control *✎ Party Comp:* a Priest is recommended to effectively use Greatsword Modal for bonus damage and still able to score crits frequently. Build powerplay at level 10. ✎ Timestamps: [00:00] - Introduction [01:04] - Character Creation [02:04] - Leveling [02:34] - Gear/Equipment [04:13] - Classes & Abilities [07:19] - AI Behavior Script [07:40] - Combat Showcase
• Resolve is a tank stat you should max. • If you plan on doing a pure tank for crowd control, then dump MIG as the character are not going to do any damage, put them into PER/INT instead for accurate CC/debuffs. • CON default 10 or around 13 is enough for most tanks. • Wear Medium or Heavy armor, Blunting Belt for Armor Tank or Gridle of Mortal Protection for Deflection Tank. Rest of the accessories are deflection or durability -related stats. • Small Shield if the character has lots of CC and need Accuracy to connect their attacks, Medium Shield for alot more sturdy approach with extra chance to resist weapon attacks. Normally a support Priest can cover your Accuracy aspect. • They can use Healing potions for heals or rely on their support either Chanter or Priest to sustain and boost their durability even further. › Common Tank classes can be: Fighter / Wizard / Paladin or recently Rogue Trickster buff is also really sturdy with their Illusion spells. Most other classes can be build into be durable as well but they are not as straightfoward as mentioned classes. You can mix match the classes or go single if wanted.
Nice one as always! I personally like Pala/Rogue or Fighter/Rogue for WotEP build because of Riposte. Combines nicely with Offensive Parry. I also feel like Gipon Prudensco is a better armor, it also gives Deflection but also immunity to Flanking.
street fighter is a better choice than a monk when you are surrounded, you can take heavy armor and play from a grueling strike and stand against the crowd no need to run to the wall and just stand there and absorb damage and quickly cut through enemies
But the penalty for not being flanked or bloodied is brutal, especially with an already slow greatsword. IMO streetfighter works so much worse when not using blunderbuss. Ive tried several times to do a viable streetfighter solo build and end up rerolling it. With cleaving stance you get plenty of reduced recovery anyway, AND you get to cleave all the time. I did a darryns voulge barb and fighter build in cleaving stance and he was hitting with 2.0 or less recovery all the time. Its a stupidly overpowered build.
@@RJMacReady1 sin tee’s swashbuckler build has streetfighter and it was my first solo potd campaign, although i guess it may be because solo runs ALWAYS have you being surrounded no matter what
Adam Mattatall I was wondering the same and did some research, she's a character from a series called Lords, Dukes and the Ghost by Isabel Genivieve. The Women in the picture is known as Lord Alexander's Mother. If you do a Google search for this, you'll get the image.
• Greatsword has 2 damage types (Slash/Pierce) so it's a good weapon type for Devoted, as you don't have to worry about running into enemy immune to one of the two and have to switch to other weapons. Also more penetration from Thunderous Blows and more frequent crits, so Greatsword don't run into problem with penetration against enemies. • Greatsword also has modal that boost more damage. • This build plays around Whisper of Endless Paths, that has AoE Cone attack.
Nice build, might try it out. Should i bother taking a Blackguard in my party when im playing as this? btw after hearing The Descent ost again i want to play Inquisition again :/
you would still need atleast 1 more other front-liner to hold the front-line effectively, as the build is still mainly a striker and before they has access to Fighter defensive abilities the character is still vulnerable.
hey man, came here from your absolutely stellar DoS2 videos; would you say that someone who enjoyed the shit out of DoS2 and 1 would enjoy pillars of eternity 2? how do the two games compare in your eyes?
• I would say people who enjoy RPG in general and want to play some more cRPG games, would enjoy Pillar of Eternity. Overall two games play very differently, Pillar is a RTS game with Pause so it has more micro-management, usually a more picky genre to most gamers, you gonna play to know if it's just cup of tea or not. • Pillar story involved gods as well but it theme and writting are quite different. Obsidian is known making interactive rpg game so if you enjoy the roleplaying aspect, you will find more interactions in PoE (party banter, NPC comments and reactions to your actions or the world around you). I personally like PoE world/characters more just because of that. • So they are different about pretty much everything. One thing is that they are both inspired by DnD, so if you like the rich rpg gameplay elements in Divinity, you can expect to see the same here in PoE. That, and both Obsidian and Larian are small RPG developer who are really passionate about their games, so i recommend giving PoE try.

Would Sanguine GS be a good upgrade for this n blackened plate?
Hello! Which cheat code hide helmets?
Those AOE stuns are mesmerizing

Actually with a little adjustment your single god fist monk can usw whisper of the endless paths pretty well in a party.
Dragon Age Inquisition Descent DLC soundtrack ftw

Good build.
Are you gonna do Cipher - Soulblade focused builds anytime soon?
Really like your builds. Where did you get the picture for her?

@@garyconnors5156 Thank you!
Thanks for the build. Would this work with Pollaxes or single sword/sabre + one-handed style?
How to make a holy knight 👀
Any reason to go greatsword over estoc? Estoc has more penetration.

This build looks great! Do you think it is still viable now? I'm about to start my first playthrough. :D

Not bad man but for me a pallid knight is either a fighter or paladin and priest.
Should be Bleakwalker and warrior.

In Finland the name of this build sounds kinda funny...=D
is there a good alternative for the breastplate since i dont want to side with one of the houses?
is this a good solo build?
The combination of Fighter/Monk is good for solo, but this build concept itself on the combination however isn't ideal for solo.
