One important mystery in biology that requires a thorough investigation is why evolution and natural selection affects all kinds of bodily functions in people, but completely avoids one simple organ - brain. It's function does not get affected by natural selection at all. 200 thousands of years of evolution and countless of generations are not enough to change it in slightest way.

I think he meant to say that indigenous Alaskans are from high latitudes, not "high altitudes."

Thank you! According to semi-kabalistic and semi-occult point of view there are 5 races: white, black, yellow, blue and red. And all races except the blue race came to earth from the various planets. It is interesting that Jews and Arab belong to blue race and ancient Egyptians and Native Americans to red race. I know that according to evolutionary theory and modern science such kind of racial theory is prejudice and even hallucination. That's why I don't know why scientists continue to use the category or term of the race?

I'm tired of pointing out to obvious fallacies in those talks about race. At least this man recognized that race does not exist in the same sense that species does not exist, because it can't be defined. That's a good start, he also confirms that traits usually associated with race do in fact exist. Now we can confirm that there are distinct populations with distinct traits that often overlap, but because they overlap it's hard to distinct them strictly. That's how race does not exists. It does not exist in the same way that languages or cultures do not exists, because they overlap. In that sense they do not exists, but not in the normal sense we use the word "exists".

Fantastic study regarding racism, was exposed by a beautiful teacher by the name of " JANE ELLIOT " by her observations and teaching of students who she observed , with a mindset of those less or more " WORTHY " with blue eyes or brown eyes student, separated the mindset of the innocent,...However the best way to deal with racism is not to speak about it ever. 💙💫✌️

Altitude. You keep using this word. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

So there's just 'man' and different skin tones rather than labeling men by their skin tones as if to distinguish, too indirectly entailing different origins. I always figured it was a form of evolution and what area or biome man inhabited.
Some folks of a darker skin tone like to be reckoned as the "original man" because they have black skin - this is pride and vanity without question; such is seen everywhere in various forms, religion, beliefs, the materialists etc.. In truth, there man was, time immemorial, and was of a darker skin tone. This is how I understand it.
There once was a man of dark skin tone who commented here on youtube to me stating: "we created you". And i of a fair tone, he was implying that black man created white man. Absolute delusion without question. I told him he evolved from monkeys and case was closed.

    gaslighting 101.
when a scientist is far more interested in signalling their virtue rather than explaining reality - we're in decline.

    Interesting…
Race etc, are just concepts. They don’t actually exists in biology proper
However… this concept have a causal power in the world of biology
Equality is an other of those concepts ( an antidote ) a constructive one, which has causal power in the real world but none existence in the realm of chemistry and physics
    Loose ends of materialism

Why does local adaptation preclude a racial designation to populations? That would seem to conflate issues rather badly.

    • @iain9821
      @iain9821 วันที่ผ่านมา

Local adaptation is a process that occurs over a long span of time. Racial designation is a mental construct invented in order to assert power. Rosenberg does the opposite of conflate the two. That is good science.

If there are certain diseases that effect certain groups, why not focus on the disease itself instead of the group?
The issue is not race, the issue is how we treat people because of the illusion of their race. Just like the issue isn't free will, the issue is how we treat people because of the illusion of free will.

I notice the word philosophy is increasingly used in things that have nothing to do with philosophy; the love of wisdom. Paring the word philosophy with the stupidity of evolutionary biology as it is understood today is an insult to philosophy. So humans did evolve; fourteen versions of human in a universal cycle, the theory that they evolved from a different species and not from their own human prototype is nonsense and the august name of philosophy should not be tarnished by associating it with this nonsensical theory.
