Air8 works pretty good but on my really compacted parts of my lawn didn’t do a thing. So yes I agree it works in most cases.

How many times have you used air-8? Was it repetitive applications, like perhaps monthly, or a one or twice a year thing?

@@TheLawnMentor 3 times so far since may I noticed a green up after first use but not much since. I’m going to manual aerate before I redo my back yard. Still going to continue using my Air8 as well 👍🏻

That sounds like a good plan! Definitely a nice tool to have in the Arsenal. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!

Nice, never hear of Air8, just cancelled my rental order of an aerator for this weekend. Thanks

Air-8 is definitely cheaper than renting the aerator machine! And you won’t sweat as much! Haha

It's always an interesting debate, one that really stirs the pot 😆... I personally haven't mechanically aerated my own lawns for 3 years...I have used AIR8 during that time and I have no compaction issues and my lawns are sitting here dark green and healthy despite the weather mother nature has thrown at us in Michigan..not saying that mechanical aeration isn't needed on lawns, just not mine 😀

Likewise, my friend! I have NEVER mechanically aerated my lawn. Michigan’s weather has tested my fungus prevention program, for sure!

I like liquids too and I think Air-8 is the real deal... but mechanical aeration is also a proven cultural practice as well. Why would the entire golf industry do this on the course's most delicate surface, if it wasn't beneficial? Both are viable options.

This is normally the year I go with mechanical aeration, but I have decided to just keep the Air 8 going and using the Overseed package again from GCF.

Are you still using the product? How have your results been over the years?

I have very Sandy soil and haven’t needed aeration of any sort. It really all depends on your soil profile
