3 Ways to INSTANTLY Make Your Lawn Look EPIC

  • Spring has Sprung! And its Time To Improve Your Lawn!
In this video, we will show you 3 tricks to instantly make your lawn look better.
The first way is to have sharp trimmed lawn edges. The great thing about edging your lawn is no matter how bad a condition its in, a fresh lawn edge is sure to make it look much better. And on the flip side, if your lawn is already in good condition, without a nice clean edge it won’t look all that great overall. If you don’t take the time to edge, the strip of grass lining your walkways and driveways will look sloppy and grown out. But there’s good news! If you want a perfectly manicured lawn that looks better then all the rest, you just need to edge it with a dedicated lawn edger.
The second way is having fresh colorful mulch beds. Once of the best ways to make your lawn pop is having a sharp contrast in color between your lush green grass and deep colored mulch. The days of buying a lugging around bags of mulch are OVER. A coat of mulch dye will be all you need to achieve beautiful sharp contrast of color between your lawn and mulch beds. Mulch dye is one of the easiest and timesaving ways to instantly improve the look of your lawn.
The last trick is to adding liquid fertilizer to your fertilizing regimen. Liquid fertilizer applications provide instant nutrients to your lawn vs granular fertilizer can take extended periods of time to work. Liquid fertilizers are more readily available to the grass and reach grasses roots faster and in my opinion one of the greatest benefits is being able to supplement the grass by foliar feeding which is even faster method of feeding the grass leading to greening effects in less than a day.
Liquid fertilizers also ensure a consistent application of nutrients compared to the uneven spreading patterns of granular fertilizer.

I love feeding my yard heavy in the fall with milo or an organic fertilizer high in nitrogen. I can definitely tell you it worked. This spring my lawn has came back thicker and has a dark green in it. While my neighbors yards who they pay someone probably hundreds too do their lawn is green but has alot of brown patchy spots. Hey George, I know I missed out on the giveaway, but I'll tell you what I like to do. I live in a Townhouse area where the HOA mows all of the lawns. But their timing between cuts is not ideal for a good looking lawn. So I mow the lawn myself weekly. My nice, clean cut lawn looks way better than my neighbors who wait for a mowing crew to come by. Sometimes one simple effect can make a big difference.

@@PrincessCutLawnCare I tried really hard last year, but the summer started with Grubs (which I got treated), and also I cut the lawn way too short before the furst snowfall prior so the lawn was basically dead and hard a real hard time coming back.
That being said, I did a lot of work (detatched, overseeded, fertilized), but for some reason the front got aweful and filled with weird weeds. Probably because the grass was in such a bad shape from my poor decision of cutting it too short too late before winter.
So around mid summer I call it quit and just mowed it.

And fertilizering when I'm supposed to. I watch your videos and they have helped me stay ahead of the curb. And I need all the help that I can get. Keep up the good work brother! Easy to follow without the fluff. Did what you said all the way from core aeration to leveling on a backyard destroyed by dogs over the past year. Pretty much a new lawn other than the 10% that was hanging on. It's been 9 days and the rye is coming through about 2" tall already! Used the right tools and it made it so much easier especially for my first time ever doing more than just mowing. Compost spreader, lawn leveler, sun joe scarifier and now I think I have to start a lawn care company to pay for the tools but I couldn't be happier with the progress. Hey George! Thanks or sharing your yard's journey. My yard stands out in my neighborhood by adding a weight roller on the back of my mower since I don't own a reel mower. Cutting straight lines and switching directions each time as well as different patterns each time I mow (doubles, single-double-single, etc.) You got to keep 'em guessing what pattern will come next! Also making a clean-up loop on the outside edge for the last pass. You are absolutely right to edge your yard where it meets the concrete line. I do it every time I mow, it looks so much sharper and it helps cut down how often I weedeat in those areas. I appreciate your content and good luck with your yard adventures!

    • @PrincessCutLawnCare

    • @scottlacy6886

It's healthier for the grass switching directions and makes an even tighter cut (very few stragglers sticking up that may have been missed during the last mow). A lot of times the wheel marks will make ruts with a traditional mower if you mow the same way every time. Looking forward to your next contents! 🍻

Nice topic! I recently purchased a new home and my first season i took things slow. I wanted to see what obstacles the new area had. Right off the bat i decided to have the downspouts ran in ground with pvc for a cleaner look. Once this was done i focused on the lawn. Fall reno season 2. Dethatch, aerate and seeding. Spring 2022 there's a huge difference. I decided to go with black beauty ultra for a dark green color. This alone makes our lawn stand out on the block. Another thing we have done this spring were live edges similar to yours. Man it's so crisp! Bkack mulch in the beds with Colorado river rock separating the edges from Mulch. It really makes it pop!

I like mowing two to three times a week in spring and early summer. I see a difference in the health, keeping in mind of the 1/3 rule which before I assumed was not for the average home owner. In feel my lawn is not only thicker but helps the fight of fungus and stress in late summer when I change to mowing one to two times a week to 10 days. Allowing for little to no traffic when the temps and drought are at high levels. One more thing that helped me from last year is a soil test which showed low levels of PH, We worked on that over late summer and fall and I see a hugh diffrence in the uptake of fert as well the macro’s. Great stuff George! After 2 years of adding mulch (and correcting where it would wash away during heavy rain) I’ll be using that same mulch dye this spring to freshen the beds up. I also keep a clean edge on the sidewalks and driveway, and I’ll be cleaning up my natural edges in the flower beds again this spring. Really adds an eye catching definition I think. My final step is the occasional shot of liquid iron, especially along the property line when I feel I need a little extra umph! Had great success with the Green Effect as well as Justin’s 12-0-0 Midnight he released last year.
