    I just bought the exact same Grizzly. same year and color to the tires and wheels. I don't have a winch. I've been shopping for the right quad for literal months now and i just had to go with a Grizzly. They are amazing. Thanks for the good vidoes man you definitely helped with my decision!

    I’ve had the same quad / colour on order since oct 2021. Ended up buying a 2011 camo as it still remains on back order. Great colour review, I really like it!

    Thanks for the post. I've driven a friend's 2019 Grizzly - great machine.
    a) You meant to say 'Hawse fairlead' about the winch's guiding plate
    b) What make, model and size are the tires?
    c) How did you richen the air/fuel ratio? Did you add an aftermarket tuner and if so, which?

    • @veeDubbinit2
      @veeDubbinit2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hawse fairlead! Yes. Good man.
      Tires - factory rubber - Maxxis Zilla’s 6 ply 27x10-14
      A/F ratio - the dealership I got it from offered to richen it up for me.. 2-3 points he said. It’s not as aggressive of a tune as what a Power Commander did to my Raptor, but the engine runs nice and cool, zero lag, very very good low end torque. Call Maximum Powersports in Peace River Alberta, talk to Riley, he did the tune. :)

      @@veeDubbinit2 did you feel you had to do the tuner and air box mod? I like keeping my stuff stock and my dealer said they had zero issues with 22 models so far but if I did warranty would take care of it

    • @veeDubbinit2
      @veeDubbinit2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Short answer is yes on the tune, no on the air box. I didn't modify the air box on my Grizzly - and I agree with keeping that stock. My 2014 Raptor ran hot (same 700cc engine)... it was too lean from the factory, and as soon as I put a Power Commander on it, I found the power delivery and engine in general to be much smoother, exhaust temperature dropped, less all or nothing kind of feel, far stronger pull but more predictable.. so I assumed the same would be true on a Grizzly. I honestly have no idea what a "stock" Grizzly is like, because I had the dealership install the HMF pipe and richen up my A/F ratio before it left the showroom floor. I've done APR tunes on all of my Volkswagens, and have never had a problem, only benefits from a mild tune. I'm an enthusiast with quads, definitely not an expert. In the Raptor community, it's fairly common to do the exhaust, intake, ECU flash of some kind, but with my Grizz, I do not want to mess with the air box, so I'm def with you on that one. Call Maximum Powersports up here in Alberta, 780.624.8952 and talk with Riley. He knows both sides of the debate. I don't think a tune is needed, but I like to ride hard, and had a good experience on my Raptor adding a tad more fuel to her. I think it's common for people to experience a drop in exhaust temp with a slightly richer A/F ratio. You have to be careful not to go too rich, but it's better than too lean. If you are happy with your Grizz as is, no need to mess with a good thing! I like to optimize that extra 10-15% of performance if possible, but def not needed imho! :D

      @@veeDubbinit2 man I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to explain this to me it sure helps a lot.. I think all just get it out and drive it lol see how it feels and if need be all get the tuner thanks again buddy and stay safe

    • @veeDubbinit2
      @veeDubbinit2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You bet! It's fun to discuss this stuff! If you put a slip-on exhaust, you have to get a tuner of some sort, but if you stay stock, you will be golden I'm sure. I love this 686cc engine and the quad in general is an awesome balance in all categories. When I called the dealership and asked if they would put a power commander on the grizzly for me, Riley said they go into the ECU and can add a couple 2-3 points to the air fuel mixture, does the same thing as a power commander, they do it all the time. So there are shops that can do the "set and forget" method, if you ever want it. I hope you have a great summer on it - do keep me posted after you've gotten to take her out. Happy riding dude!!

    Greetings and thanks for the video! Just wondering where you got the a rope that you have on the front of your winch line, and how is that integrated into the line itself? In other words, is it all part of the same winch line, or, did you just remove the hook and attach it to the end of line itself?

    A few points. You didn't save anymore than 3 or 4 lbs going from steel fairlead to the hawse. Same thing with going from agm to a lithium battery. Only a few lbs. I'm all honesty, after opening a 700 since 2018, the last thing you want to do is lighten the front of these bikes, they need more weight to help with steering and hill climbing.
    Your muffler and more fuel didn't gain you 5hp either, that's been Dyno proven multiple times. What it did do is move the torque curve to a more usable rpm giving the impression of more power.

    • @veeDubbinit2
      @veeDubbinit2  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      12.4lbs in metal was removed, less than 1lb of aluminum was added. I noticed my quad handed better with the weight removed durning cornering. Thanks for your feedback.

    Thanks for the walk around dude , defiantly a nice machine I’m thinking about selling my 2021 outlander 850 and getting a grizzly I just think it’s a better fit for me and way easier to work on .. thanks again and really liking the vids keep it up

      @@veeDubbinit2 yeah I had a old 03 660 years ago and loved the bike it took a beating for sure.. my 850 is nice but I’m in mostly rough rock areas unfortunately but find it bottoms out a lot . I think the grizzly is just plain better for trails and although nothing has broke yet on my outlander I do think the reliability goes to the grizzly hands down and that’s more important to me then going fast ..

      @@dannymacdonnell251 mmm.. I see. The ground clearance on the Grizz with those 14” rims in the wild are awesome, crawler for sure. I did the 15 hr 1st maintenance in no time. 4 grease nipples. Brakes last forever. The 4x4 system and clutch is honestly impressive. The exhaust drowns out the CV. The 700cc doesn’t get as hot going slow, so for technical riding it, it’s better. Build quality is very good. It’s very very smooth, no vibrations or squeaks, riding position is perfect standing or sitting. You won’t be disappointed with one, I’m sure of it.

      I own an older 800 Outlander, a 1000cc Polaris Sportsman, and have driven a friend's 2019 Grizzly many times. The Grizzly is impressive, and if you don't add a loud exhaust, is a very mellow ride. The Griz has a shorter wheelbase, more front end ground clearance, lots of low end torque, weighs substantially less than the CanAm, and has a lower center of gravity (which helps a lot on side slopes). In contrast, the Can Am's ride is a bit smoother (but not as nice as Polaris), has a lot more power, faster throttle response. If I did not own a quad and had to choose one, that would be tough. But, once I own something like a new (2021) Can Am, I don't think I'd trade.without there being a compelling reason.

      Interestingly enough, the dealership did it for me. They richened up the A/F ratio 2-3 points. I can't change it on the fly, but what they did to the Grizz is spot on. For my Raptor, I'm running a Power Commander and that also works well.
