- Alexander III of Macedon, better known as Alexander the Great, indeed began his great conquests at a young age, and by the age of 25, he was already ruling over a vast territory.
Alexander became the king of Macedonia in 336 BC, at the age of 20, following the assassination of his father, Philip II. His military campaigns started shortly after his coronation, and he swiftly conquered numerous lands.
By the age of 25, by 331 BC, Alexander the Great had already conquered the Persian Empire, including its capital Persepolis, and became one of the most powerful monarchs of his time. His empire stretched from Greece and Egypt in the west to India in the east.
So, Alexander the Great, at the age of 25, indeed was a world conqueror, having gathered vast territories under his rule.
