I would have crafted one beast aspect (which are exclusives too) on both wands here : 16:23, since you only had 4 suffixes here, and having more suffixes in the pool guarantee you higher chance to actually have multiple mod as suffixes, so higher chances to keep the Hatred aura effect. (and also better since you have more exclusive mod so higher chance to hit one and delete the others)
Adding beastcrafts to the mix would be dangerous since they can't be safely removed like crafted mods can. I don't think it makes any sense to use them here.

Very interesting thanks! I've just tried with a craft i need opposite to the one you are showing ( 3 suff and 1 prefix) and i was unlucky with the last recombination. I ended up having 2 suff and 1 pref. Is it possible to retry the last recombination to add the missing suffix?
@@Ruud651 yeah all you have to do is find an item with the one suffix you’re missing, craft as much as you can on it, and do the same for the 3-mod item. The total pool is what matters
Same process except you'd want to make sure you were working with influenced bases whenever the hatred mod was in play, or else you're cutting your odds in half. It doesn't matter which prefix you choose to combine with it, the odds all come from the crafted mods and the total number of mods.
The shield would not be something to recombinate because of the synth base, but there's a pinned explanation in the discord that goes over that process
what about trying to get a +2 wand? say you have to wands with the prefix +1 to all skills on the one and +1 to cold skills on the other (those are TWO prefixes, and NOT one suffix and one PREFIX like in your video) ... so what would someone do then? Also how did you manage to have only one mod on the RARE base of those wands? I tried to do the same thing with prefixes cannot be changed, and when I scour afterwards, I get rid of the unwanted affixes but my item becomes BLUE (magic) instead of rare
The video also shows how to do two prefixes together. To get one mod rares you have to use orbs of annulment, but you can use cannot roll caster to make sure you don't take off the skills mods
So I tried to do similar with a 2h mace. I wanted t1 phys% and flat (prefixes) and t1 dot multi and speed (suffixes). I successfully combined the 2 pairs to a mace with t1 phys% and t1 speed and the other was t1 flat and t1 dot multi. So I multi nodded again and filled prefixes but had one open suffix. And I lost the multi. If I were to try this again, is there a way you can suggest keeping all 4 lines?
I can save the final product by cleaning it up to both t1 prefixes. I’m thinking get a new mace and get t1 hybrid and t1 multi on it, then multimod, add two prefix. Then on the first mace, multimod, and add one prefix one suffix?
I guess my question is, how do I combine one item with 2 prefix and one item with 2 suffix (and maybe 1 prefix) but I can settle for just the 2 suffix.
@@jwei444 Whatever you're doing, the basic rule is that once you have bases that only have the mods that you want on them, fill every affix you can with exclusive crafted mods and then recombinate.

Are you trying to combine an essence mod? Those are part of the "exclusive" mods list and so this would not work on them. Otherwise it could just be bad luck. On average, missing that 86% chance 3 times in a row will happen to someone if a few hundred people try it. If that's the case, thank you for absorbing the dark side of the variance curve.
Whatever the situation, as long as you're only putting crafted mods and mods that you want in the pool, you're doing it right. Favoring prefixes/suffixes when there's an imbalance is gonna come down to mod rarity. Put more mods in the pool on the rare side.

There’s no such thing as blocking, because if the crafted suffix hits then it can’t be a crafted prefix, so it’s better to have a 50% chance at a 72% chance, than to try to get all 3 to stay with only 3 in the pool
I hit this my first try - the recombs anyways. The bases were difficult. I rolled an absolution shield following a youtubers guide on day 5 of this league and also nailed every roll my first try. Synth 5% life on block implicit, 15% spell block, +3 max chaos, +2 max all res, +153 life, 8% PDR and crafted 50% block. Finally sold it for 500D 2 days ago. Like that shield though, I do not have a character to use this with. So that's next. I am just curious, I saw someone else ask this but your answer isn't visible, why this base and not a higher implicit dmg base?
The plus two base you double meta modded then also had to roll and annul the plus one phys. And it could brick. I feel like personally I would just start from the plus one all base and multi mod, cannot roll attack, prefix lock and add phys. Since at that stage it wasn’t influenced.

assuming you fill the rest with crafted mods, you should be able to get about a 2/3 chance. You can trade some chance for overall success to protect your prefixes if you put 6 total prefixes (2 non-crafted and 4 crafted) and only 3 total suffixes (1 non-crafted and 2 crafted) into the pool as opposed to doing a 5/4 split
@@kopire2324 I did succeed on my second try. I combined 2 + to all gem mods by crating multimod 2 named prefixes on both. Then I crafted multimod named suffix + prefix on that item and combined it with an 1 suffix item with multimodded 2 named prefixes.
from my pov wands work mostly earlygame. after that you can craft a bow and use your chest for a 5 link aura setup, till you have enough to mirror a 12 link wand/dagger for squire. any thoughts?
This comment made me wish there was reactions on yt comments, it would have been a clown emoji XD when u play ssf u always gotta understand that its miles apart from what is achievable in trade. ofc its not impossible but if u think farming a mb in trade is too long of a grind for you, you wont get to play with any high end items in ssf either. But this is also why I love playing both modes, I go to trade for making ridiculous items and play ssf for the nice solo experience of working for every tiny piece i need myself. Also usually u do have plenty of divines in ssf to use on crafting because u dont need them to trade. U probably wanna do something like sanctum, which drops a lot of raw divines.

Because of the Int requirement. I get way more value from the tattoos I can apply than from a tiny bit of increased spell damage.

Not really, no. It wouldn't work on the influenced items, and requires several divs worth of metamods and lifeforce

I wanted a low int requirement so I could tattoo myself up as much as possible.
