Also I'm sure there are a bunch of tiny mistakes in this since this was basically my first proper full craft with these, learning process ! EDIT1: When I demonstrate using exclusive mods in order to merge two prefixes together, I realize crafting multimod on both is not very cost efficient, and for that craft it's likely a better idea to just craft a single exclusive prefix on there and not spend the 4 div on meta mods. I used meta mods there to more easily demonstrate how exclusive mods work, I felt this was kinda obvious but I've had a few comments about it so just figured I'd clear that up.
Thanks for the video it really showed me how this works. Saving the 4d on doing the 2p/0s item was the first thing I did. I did two crafts by now. 1 Shield that worked perfectly. Wanted a 2nd shield which went as horrible as it could get. On the finaly craft it chose the crab modiefier. Did another Base to merge, lost the 72% on the prefix. Tried to make a nother base, lost like 20 anuls in a row. Then finally did and did another merge just to lose the 72% on pre and suffix. Then I quit.
Best explanation of recombination with the suffix / prefix mod pools I've seen. Straight-forward visuals with the target craft demo. Great work as always.
This is why awakeners orbs doubled overnight. GG on the helm though! Thanks to the guide plus sushi I made the "mirror" dagger for this build, now i need to get power runes somehow
i made like 50 div early by recombing non-influenced t1 stats onto abyssal belts and throwing life, crit dmg, cast speed etc together on amulets, all from worthless junk i only picked up to not waste inventory space, but that's only really worth it at the very start of the league. glad to see recomb making a comeback for high end stuff.
How much better is this helmet compared to eldritch helmet? You don't need nor supression, nor mana reservation, nor reduced mana cost of attack skills?
Can you use recombinators to craft an item if you want an essence mod on the final item? Im trying to craft an RF helm with conc effect / burning damage / socketed gems more dmg / int / life / crafted +1 aoe
It was really likely to hit and I kinda just got cheap and didn't wanna buy the 2ish div lvl 30 aspect craft for that step (since I use Aspect of the Crab on the final item and this base had a suffix I wanted to keep I would have to add the proper final aspect to it instead of just a temp one). but yeah I could see it worth adding there for sure
That would turn the item magic since it'd only have one prefix, bit of a weird quirk of poe but annuls let you keep the item rare while only having a single mod. want it rare cos if it was magic it'd only be able to have 1 crafted mod on it and we wanna craft a bunch
Yeah have the same mod twice in the pool increase the chance you will get it in the outcome. So on the prefix were you didn't want to keep the crafted mod you should probably use two different crafted exclusive mods.
in most cases locking prefixes or suffixes and scouring one of the bases for this would turn it magic, which wouldn't let you craft all the different blocking mods, so only way to keep it rare is to lock prefix/suffix and annul

nope, all three of those stats are dead for me. Almost all eldritch implicits also don't do anything for this character

no, it 5050/s which base to use at the start, you could use other influenced mods that won't be transferrable on your base to block however,
