I found that the locking screw hole, no matter how well centered (with the centering bolt) or drilled, had to be elongated on one side I could see how my custom tool holder could have interfered but this was not the case on the opposite side. If there is going to be water intrusion this is where it will happen! I used a gasket for a garden hose (new unused), it fit nicely around the lock washer allowing it to function as intended too.
Those are the Medium Boxes.. Good tip on putting the boxes back to back for the templates are the same.. thx.. Mune will be here soon for my Honda Rally..
My medium boxes came in this morning from rocky Mountain ATV/MC. One of the lids is bent due to lack of styrofoam on the sides of the box and a corner impact. I guess I'll hammer it out and repaint it. The product would have been perfect if it had been packaged better.
Just finished my install on a 98 Honda XR650L. Got the large size pannier. A little advice....don't drip thread-locker on the panniers, it stains them really bad....
I just got my Wr250r ,and about to order as well. Not sure if I want the medium or the large size... Would a Rotapax fuel can fit to the backside of the left rack?
I don't think it will clear the rear tire and it would most likely need to hang lower than the pannier box to clear the latch? It's hard to say.. You might be better off mounting one on the side? Keep in mind you would be widening the rear of the machine.
Subframe's strong. No issues there. As far as width goes on some bikes, the pannier racks can kick out wider to accommodate bigger exhaust systems. But it varies with each bike. What it really boils down to is, you got to learn how to ride the bike with panniers on. Knowing where to put your front tire and pick a line so your rear end doesn't clip any shrubs or boulders.
Cheers! Me and a mate are taking our WRR's down to Ushuaia next year, need to adventurise them beforehand tough. not sure about which panniers or even soft lugage to take tough! how wide is the rack with the medium/large panniers on? could not find the information on your site unfortunately! do you have any long-time experience how the bike handles the added weight on the back especially off road? thanks!
Biohazzy T. Complete width in inches on the WR with *large* panniers are 54" inches wide. Minus a 1-3/4" for *medium* pannier boxes. Both handle great with the weight. No issues at all.
It's not 900 because you have to drill 16 holes and maybe extend some cables. If you don't want to drill go more expensive but if you want metal boxes under 500 they are the only ones trying to even get that target demographic and I appreciate them for it

so far i like it as im here doing it now!
Let us know what you think of them after you have used them for a while! Stay safe on the trails!
This was very informative.
Thanks, Bill
Thank you for the videos. I just installed mine today. Very happy with the results.
i just installed mine and i am super happy.. they are very sturdy and look surprisingly good on my KLR

I'm looking to get panniers for a wr. Just want to know if these are the medium boxes that you are showing on the bike
Our boxes didn't come with paperwork for this process, but that's okay since we have wifi!
Thanks RM crew
Real nice video. I bought a couple of endure jackets from you a few years ago. Very nice to deal with. You guys really know your stuff. Thanks
Thanks for your support colfaulkner1! ~Vinny
The best part of hard panniers is you can use them as tables when your motocamping .
11/32 drill bit. How many hogs teeth is that? How many bananas?
What's that in 2020 modern measurements?

Great video..Im going too be doing this soon..
Good installation instructions but it looks like there’s a zero tolerance for error
Just finished my install on a 98 Honda XR650L. Got the large size pannier. A little advice....don't drip thread-locker on the panniers, it stains them really bad....
Where are they made
Thank you very much.
I’m thinking these are the smaller panniers?
2:10 wouldn't you use the extra washers on the lock acorn nuts...? just a thought.
Not much thread would be available after putting on the washer. Some thread-locker with the acorn should be sufficient.
Do these create wobbling at high speeds?
No it shouldn't if installed correctly.
Is there a way to mount these pannier to a non Tusk rack? There is no Tusk rack for my bike
Yes, these panniers are mostly universal and can be mounted to a variety of pannier racks.
I mounted mine to Givi racks. Just used the same procedure that they showed here, with brackets that I made from angle aluminum.
What size are these panniers? Thanks
What size panniers are featured in this video?
One of my acorn nuts provided didn't have any threads in it. What size is it so I can buy a replacement?
One of my acorn nuts was several sizes too small.

Hi! looks very nice! how does the subframe of the bike hold up? are the panniers wider than the handle bar with the large panniers? thanks!

Seems like I pay 400 dollar for this and I still need to drill a hole myself
