DIY Tusk Quick Release Soft Bag Mount

- I wanted a way to utilize the quick release latch on my Tusk Pannier Racks, but didn't want to spend $130 more for the soft pannier mount plates, so I made my own using two inexpensive plastic cutting boards.

Great idea, thanks! How are the mounting boards holding up to stresses of riding, falling, etc.? That they might crack would be my main concern.
The boards held up fine…however I caught one of the bags on a tree and ripped the strap off it. I’ve since replaced the bags with some Nelson-Rigg bags that have removable inserts, so I’m no longer using the boards. I just strap the new bags direct to the racks.
