A lot of people do not like my opinions on DS2 (which, I don't even have one I just never have played it lol) and especially Bloodborne. @@Th3Extra I didn’t review it, I said I never played it? Also yes I did use trick weapons. The threaded cane was one of my favorites as I ran a dex build. They were cool but nothing too earth shattering. Again, probably didn’t hit as hard for me because I played it 9 years after release.
Lies of P's rank at A is a good spot. It has its quirks and a few ideas could use a 2nd look. Still crazy that this was their first try at a Souls game and they managed to bring us such a polished game. I can't wait to see what the DLC/New Titles will bring us. Hopedully they open the scope of the game a little more, now that they have seen all the positive feedback from players.

Accurate. Bloodborne base game is exactly B tier, probably even C tier (according to Fromsoft standards). However, Bloodborne's DLC is extraordinary. S tier expansion. But unfortunately, a good DLC doesn't suddenly redeem the game (just like DS2 with it's DLC). Bloodborne doesn't have build variety, it has very weird and scripted storytelling, bosses are simply just trash, only like 2 base game bosses are somewhat good. OST is not so memorable or good outside of themes of Gascoigne, Lady Maria and Ludwig. Worst of all, the game runs 30 FPS or below and has awful graphics and visuals, even for 2015 (comparing to likes of Witcher 3 or Last of Us, it's so much worse in comparison). Areas are dry and repetitive, the game doesn't have good level design.

Bloodborne doesn't need to have "build variety" when each weapon (with a few exceptions) behaves completely different especially when you consider their special attacks and how you can string them together with normals. This leads me to talking about the combat. Bloodborne combat is sensational and far better than any of the Souls offerings. I love the more fast paced nature and rally system. works great encouraging aggresive gameplay instead of passivity. I personally love the storytelling in Bloodborne AND I think you can argue that bloodborne executes on it's aesthetic and ambience better than any other Fromsoft game. I will 100% agree with you on the Bosses aspect. The DLC elevates those. Also disagree on the visuals, yes the 30fps is objectively tough to deal with but the visuals to me are great. All in all Bloodborne is an A tier game only falling short of S tier due to it's lack of many Memorable bosses in the base game as well as framerate.
How do people always manage to miss the “this tier list is based on my opinion” and i mean i agree with him, bloodborne is awesome but it’s nothing sensational, in terms of my exclusively souls tier list it’s probably mid-bottom tier. Of course that doesnt mean it isnt a great game, that’s just where i rank it compared to the other games

Not playing DS2 cause people say it sucks is wild. Atleast start thr game, play for a few hours and decide for yourself. DS2 isn't a bad game at all. Just cause Miyazaki didn't direct this doesn't make this game unplayable. It has most mechanics similar to othr souls and some pretty amazing bosses + Majula. If you are into the ranking game, you have to take that risk of playing a game regardless of what people say.

as someone who loves bloodborne i thought your reasoning around it was understandable , but honestly lost me with ds3. it’s the blueprint for any dark souls formula game moving forward, hell even elden ring takes so much from ds3. the second health bars were introduced, the most polished and speedy gameplay and ashes of wars, the healing system, it’s even the first souls game that focused on bosses which sekiro and elden ring take from and even little things like being able to respec your stats and modify your character. it’s truly the foundation of fromsoft moving forward, i think giving brownie points to ds1 (which i would too) is fine until you don’t take into account what ds3 did.
I mean it is his opinion, ultimately ds3 really just feels like a long line connecting bosses, the areas arent that interesting and the interconnectivity is bare minimum, it’s like they forgot the basic formula of souls so that they can make good bosses but hey that’s just my opinion, every game has it’s upsides and downsides and some people just prefer some games upsides more than the others
I never said it sucked...I've just never played it lol. Now I said a lot of OTHER people say it sucks, but these comments have be thinking otherwise as there are a lot of defenders.
DS2 does not suck, its my favorite souls, in the non-modded version the bosses are kind of easy but the environments and atmosphere are what make it worth it, the main reason people didnt like the original DS2 is because a lot of the difficulty came from getting too the bosses as regular enemies posed a threat and they liked to clump them up. Not to mention the lag hits from certain enemies (fixed in scholar i believe) as well as the cheesy ass method of shoving a bunch of mobs down your throat. It was also not helped by the fact that you got access to so much healing through stones that you munch on and were far more plentiful than any other secondary healing item in any of the souls games. DS3 was like running through a brown and grey swamp the entire game in comparison (artistically). 100% worth a try, i would recommend to mod it with seeker or fire 2.0 and the lighting mod (and 4k textures if your gpu can handle it), as SoF kinda fixed a lot of the snorefest easy bosses (they still in the game just buffed to be a bit more challenging).
DS2 is different. That's the mindset to go into with it. It has it's own genius features that never get brought back and that people don't even really talk about because they're overshadowed by the "DS2 bad" memes. What you said about Demon's Souls also kind of applies to Dark Souls 2, about the environments being the tougher part of the game. I personally didn't like the shift in focus being more on the bosses because that leaves so much environmental interaction on the table.
i played sekiro, ds3 and now lies of p. im in love with lies of p (easier than sekiro), the story, the world, vibes, music so amazing 🔥🔥. im waiting dlc or sequel cuz that dorothy in the endgame cutscene
Maybe it's just because I prefer the melancholy dark fantasy of other souls games more than gothic victorian horror of BB but I agree that when I played through BB my impression was "pretty average souls game, not the best but not the worst." It isn't bad but I do think it gets over hyped a lot by people who just really like the aesthetic of it. I also could be biased since I absolutely HATE the finite healing aspect where the start of the game always feels grueling and all but a couple bosses towards the end feel trivial after that if you just hoard a stockpile of vials going into a boss.
To be fair he’s already played the best souls games and doesn’t want to touch a low tier souls game. He’s already experienced greatness, why risk playing something garbage? Starfield was a new Bethesda game that had mountains of hype so it makes sense.

Lies of P has become my favourite single player game. I was really disappointed by Sekiro and Elden Ring is a bit too big and too much running around for my taste. The story in Lies of P is amazing and it's deep enough to have you intrigued but it's also well told so anyone could get into it without outside help. I also think almost all of the major bosses are really well done and together with the combat mechanics this game just becomes perfection to me. It might be difficult to get into for some but I thought Sekiro was too easy so for me it was perfect difficulty wise.
@@zSion only thing that is "way harder" is playing the game wo a guide because everything is super obscure and really annoying. The gameplay however is easier due to the easier timings and stagger potential on bosses.
@@zSion fr. LoP is the easiest souls game Ive played. Didnt die to basic mobs even once. But when I tried to play Dark souls 3 second time I was humbled in the High wall Lothric ALREADY. dude u can be definitely sure all souls game are on the other level in terms of difficulty compared to LoP

The low score attributed to Demon's Souls is always related to players who never played the OG game back in 2010. The barbaric and authentic atmosphere in the ps3 version is unique and easily supercedes some titles, it deserves a higher spot IMO
Not really. Unless you’re fighting orphan of kos the combat can really be boiled down to diagonal dodging behind an enemy and bullying the hell out of them. The dlc is a phenomenal 10/10 but I’d honestly argue that the base game is the 2nd weakest experience after ds2.

I started with DS3 thinking I would quit. But loved it. Then DS1 was slow n initially did not like it but wow once I got in. It was amazing. Then played DS2, I tried. But at some point I uninstalled the game because it was just that bad for me. But well opinions. Atleast I know I gave it a try

People who think DS2 is bad but DS1 is good are insane to me. There were so many quality of life improvements between those two, DS2 has the most variety in builds, weapons, style, etc, DS2 has the most balanced PVP by a mile, it's the best about preventing roll spam and fixed unfair backstabs, has a better story than 1 or 3, and the areas are insanely overhated because morons try to run through them instead of actually playing through them

@@TroySturdy Because Sekiro is not an RPG, it isn't a souls game. It's a weird hybrid between old assassin's creed and Dark Souls. It's one of the few games I purchased and decided it wasn't worth the effort to "Get Good" at. You should definitely give it a shot! DS2 is the most realistic feeling which pisses off people because it is really harsh about teaching people not to spam and it isn't as fast as the others but it's pace allows more thought and intention. It also has the most variety in playstyle of any of the games and the only one even close is Elden ring. Also the mobs are literally nothing worse than DS1, people just don't know when to back up rather than run forward like morons.
@@thekillers1stfan Fair point, if the RPG elements are what you enjoy out of souls games then Sekiro is definitely not going to be your cup of tea. Sekiro is purely about combat with basically no RPG elements. However, this is one of the reasons why I enjoy it so much because it focuses on one thing and it does that perfectly. I've never felt better sword fighting in any game, period. I'd still consider it a souls game because the RPG elements are not the heart of what a souls game is about, in my opinion. Hmm, I might have to! Now just because I love Sekiro, doesn't mean I don't enjoy the RPG elements because Elden Ring is my number 1 favorite. So from what I'm hearing about DS2, I would really enjoy the variety and build aspects. Thanks for the good information!
I agree with the story and roll spam. All your moves feel methodical, and Ds2 was the last game where maintaining stamina was a major part of gameplay. Ds3 and Elden Ring just got people used to roll spamming, and many of the bosses and areas didnt punish them enough for that. Ds2 absoluty punishes this habit with bosses like fume knight and sir alonne, and people who see Ds2 as a bad game generally are just bad at the game, and use "bad game design" and "oh everyone says this is the worst one so its not my skill" as an excuse. And yeah the story, after watching lore videos (thanks vaatividya) to learn more about it, is fantastic, and imo the best in the series.
I honestly cant put any of them above each other. Have not played Lies of P or Elden Ring yet. But BB, DS1/DS2/DS3 and Nioh/Nioh 2 are all S Tier for me. Each have positives and negatives.

Definitly not abysmal. Sure, the bed of chaos sucks, and lost izalith and demon ruins are unfinished and boring. But New Londo and Dukes Archives were great areas in my opinion and where at the same calliber as the first half. Not sure why so many people decide that the whole "second half" is bad.

My list S - Lies of P then Sekiro (parry/deflect mechanic is easy s) A - Ds 3 then Elden ( Hate the open world not my cup of tea) B - Bloodborne ( Hate the asthetics in Bloodborn and the creepy vibe and its 30fps) C - Dark souls then Demon souls (One time thing to boring ) F - DS2 ( Don't want to waste time playing a bad game , if asmon says its bad then it is)
Great list, i agree with pretty much all of it. Sekiro is easily the best combat, i felt like i was improving as the story went along while with Dark Souls, i felt i was becoming better at that specific boss only

I played bloodborne last year and your not entirely wrong but I’d say a tier or possibly s if it clicks with you because it has a very unique aesthetic
Dark souls 2 is worth the first playthrough but when I beat it I just felt like I had finished a type of beautiful punishment. I love it, I’d call myself a DS2 enjoyer, but I suffered so much my first playthrough I was just happy to be done with it
Every boss in the base game is a beast boss you stand behind and attack. Farming vials early game sucks. The chalice dungeons suck. The game runs at 30 fps cap and feels terrible. I think the bloodborne defenders need to wake up and realise their game isn't as great as they thought it was 9 years ago.
@@shadysorkin9214as someone who started with Elden ring then went and played the other souls games I can confirm bloodborne is peak and has withstood the test of time. The game has the best weapons,soundtrack,area design,attention to detail and lore (though that’s arguable with dark souls) of any souls game. The bosses are beasts but most of them are quite aggressive and well designed. If you had actually played the game you’d know that standing at their legs hacking away is a death sentence as every beats boss has a move made to get you away from their legs. All of Bloodbornes humanoid bosses with the exception of Micolash are among the best human bosses fromsoft has ever put out. The dungeons do suck but they serve no purpose other than rune farming. the platinum trophy and blood gems so it shouldn’t be counted for the actual game I always get a laugh at people like you whining about 30 fps when it’s perfectly playable and for a game released on the ps4 did you seriously not expect bloodborne to run at 30 fps? The old hunters dlc is by far the best fromsoft dlc to date, they nailed everything from the lore to the area design and even the bosses. If the quality of the base game is anything to go off of then it’s extremely unlikely shadow of the erdtree will beat the old hunters

I'm currently playing dark souls 2 for the first time I recently finished demons souls, dark souls remastered and sekiro and honestly so far dark souls 2 isn't bad. I decided to play ALL the from soft games to actually have the scope and idea to properly give my opinion. Yes I heard the community time and time again that dark souls 2 sucks I'm understanding why they would say that but so far not me it does not suck....
I've platnumed all except for Demon Souls. Bloodborne by far is the best soulsborne game IMO. For me bloodborne and Elden ring are S tier. DS3, Sekiro and DS1 are A tier. The only reason Bloodborne didnt win game of the year is because it went against Witcher 3. DS2 is a GREAT game, a shame you haven't played it yet. I put it in B tier along with lies of P, the level design of lies of p was bland imo. Demon souls I agree is a C tier game, but I very much so enjoyed playing it -- I need to platnum this soon. Nioh series is really fantasitc, I'd put Nioh 1 in A tier and Nioh 2 in B tier.
dark souls 2 was my first souls game so i def have nostalgia for it but i would prob put it at the bottom but its def worth playing and still feels and plays like a souls game

My list is similar but I'd put DS1 in S, BB and ER in A I'm about 2/3 through Lies of P, it's not bad but it's firmly at the bottom of the list for me.
Nice list! I agree with everything except DS2 should be in A tier IMO. DS3 was kind of forgettable to me in many ways but DS2 I remember everything. The art style and world they built there was incredible. Honestly Bloodborne is almost C tier for me simply because it's too dark for my liking. Everything looks the same, and it has too much of a melancholy vibe (I know it was supposed to). I also prefer the slower combat style.
Just finished LOP and it was good, Id say solid 8/10. But to put it above BB is a mistake and wrong. But thats just my opinion, I think Bloodborne is a masterpiece. Im super biased, as it was my entry into fromsoftware and soulsborne games. LOP had a GREAT story, but the game mechanics could be a lot better.
Bb hate needs to stop. Easily the best game fromsoft ever made. Best story best world building great weapons. Great enemies. Some of the best bosses. And most fans 🐺😎
i played bloodborne for the first time last week and finished it. its an amazing game one of the best ive ever played the darkness of this game its really a horror game😂. but ive played also elden ring and i can say bloodborn only weeknes is the bosses. it has some of the greatest bosses sure but most bosess suck really bad.
@@r10magical76 are we taking into account the dlc? The dlc has some of the best bosses in the soulsborne games as a whole. Lady Maria, Ludwig and orphan of Kos are all top 10 soulsborne bosses.

I could very well be wrong here, though I feel like perhaps there is some public perception entering your opinion, what I mean is that you went into Bloodborne with all the hype behind it, but as often can happen the hype falls short of the experience which has happened here.. On the flip side there is all the negativity surrounding DS2, where you have followed that negativity and not given it a go.. it's actually not as bad as people will lead you think.. it's not as good as the other games in the FS catalogue, but it;s still good and well worth a play. You’re probably right. Although in one instance (Bloodborne) i didn’t buy into the general public perception. I actually disagreed with it a bit and I think it being so hyped up led me to be underwhelmed. As for DS2, I did buy into the majority public perception, which in hindsight I think isn’t entirely fair. I have decided I want to give it a shot at some point. Perhaps I’ll update my tier list then.
Id say give Ds2 a try. Skipping it just because people say its bad isnt a good way to go about things, and its not fair. Who knows, you might be one of those people who really love Ds2. Me personally, i really enjoyed my first playthrough. Its still my least favorite of the trilogy, but i dont think its bad. I actually think it has the best story out of the 3. Incredibly based for putting Ds1 above Ds3 though, I love the bosses but it felt like too much fanservice at times lol.

please give ds2 a try it is much better than you think and have heard. it got a bad reputation from people pissed it wasn't just dark souls 1 *again* ignoring that not even dark souls 1 was exactly it's predecessor in demon souls. ds2 is a great experience and I hope you give it a try as it's own game! @@Th3Extra I didn’t review it, I said I never played it? Also yes I did use trick weapons. The threaded cane was one of my favorites as I ran a dex build. They were cool but nothing too earth shattering. Again, probably didn’t hit as hard for me because I played it 9 years after release.
I just started playing DS2, a few days ago. And it's not very good. Doubt I'll finish it. Loved all the others.
Lies of P's rank at A is a good spot. It has its quirks and a few ideas could use a 2nd look.
Still crazy that this was their first try at a Souls game and they managed to bring us such a polished game.
I can't wait to see what the DLC/New Titles will bring us. Hopedully they open the scope of the game a little more, now that they have seen all the positive feedback from players.

Accurate. Bloodborne base game is exactly B tier, probably even C tier (according to Fromsoft standards). However, Bloodborne's DLC is extraordinary. S tier expansion. But unfortunately, a good DLC doesn't suddenly redeem the game (just like DS2 with it's DLC). Bloodborne doesn't have build variety, it has very weird and scripted storytelling, bosses are simply just trash, only like 2 base game bosses are somewhat good. OST is not so memorable or good outside of themes of Gascoigne, Lady Maria and Ludwig. Worst of all, the game runs 30 FPS or below and has awful graphics and visuals, even for 2015 (comparing to likes of Witcher 3 or Last of Us, it's so much worse in comparison). Areas are dry and repetitive, the game doesn't have good level design.

Bloodborne doesn't need to have "build variety" when each weapon (with a few exceptions) behaves completely different especially when you consider their special attacks and how you can string them together with normals. This leads me to talking about the combat. Bloodborne combat is sensational and far better than any of the Souls offerings. I love the more fast paced nature and rally system. works great encouraging aggresive gameplay instead of passivity. I personally love the storytelling in Bloodborne AND I think you can argue that bloodborne executes on it's aesthetic and ambience better than any other Fromsoft game. I will 100% agree with you on the Bosses aspect. The DLC elevates those. Also disagree on the visuals, yes the 30fps is objectively tough to deal with but the visuals to me are great. All in all Bloodborne is an A tier game only falling short of S tier due to it's lack of many Memorable bosses in the base game as well as framerate.

DS2 isn't a bad game at all. Just cause Miyazaki didn't direct this doesn't make this game unplayable. It has most mechanics similar to othr souls and some pretty amazing bosses + Majula. If you are into the ranking game, you have to take that risk of playing a game regardless of what people say.

as someone who loves bloodborne i thought your reasoning around it was understandable , but honestly lost me with ds3.
it’s the blueprint for any dark souls formula game moving forward, hell even elden ring takes so much from ds3. the second health bars were introduced, the most polished and speedy gameplay and ashes of wars, the healing system, it’s even the first souls game that focused on bosses which sekiro and elden ring take from and even little things like being able to respec your stats and modify your character. it’s truly the foundation of fromsoft moving forward, i think giving brownie points to ds1 (which i would too) is fine until you don’t take into account what ds3 did.
I mean it is his opinion, ultimately ds3 really just feels like a long line connecting bosses, the areas arent that interesting and the interconnectivity is bare minimum, it’s like they forgot the basic formula of souls so that they can make good bosses but hey that’s just my opinion, every game has it’s upsides and downsides and some people just prefer some games upsides more than the others

Lies of P along these classics is such an amazing compliment. It really was a fantastic game. My favorite of 2023 even over BG3.

DS2 does not suck, its my favorite souls, in the non-modded version the bosses are kind of easy but the environments and atmosphere are what make it worth it, the main reason people didnt like the original DS2 is because a lot of the difficulty came from getting too the bosses as regular enemies posed a threat and they liked to clump them up. Not to mention the lag hits from certain enemies (fixed in scholar i believe) as well as the cheesy ass method of shoving a bunch of mobs down your throat. It was also not helped by the fact that you got access to so much healing through stones that you munch on and were far more plentiful than any other secondary healing item in any of the souls games.
DS3 was like running through a brown and grey swamp the entire game in comparison (artistically).
100% worth a try, i would recommend to mod it with seeker or fire 2.0 and the lighting mod (and 4k textures if your gpu can handle it), as SoF kinda fixed a lot of the snorefest easy bosses (they still in the game just buffed to be a bit more challenging).
I think Lies of p is s tier for sure the graphics, the way it plays, how dark it is. And the simple fact that you can't get lost. It's really linear.

DS2 is different. That's the mindset to go into with it. It has it's own genius features that never get brought back and that people don't even really talk about because they're overshadowed by the "DS2 bad" memes.
What you said about Demon's Souls also kind of applies to Dark Souls 2, about the environments being the tougher part of the game. I personally didn't like the shift in focus being more on the bosses because that leaves so much environmental interaction on the table.

Maybe it's just because I prefer the melancholy dark fantasy of other souls games more than gothic victorian horror of BB but I agree that when I played through BB my impression was "pretty average souls game, not the best but not the worst." It isn't bad but I do think it gets over hyped a lot by people who just really like the aesthetic of it. I also could be biased since I absolutely HATE the finite healing aspect where the start of the game always feels grueling and all but a couple bosses towards the end feel trivial after that if you just hoard a stockpile of vials going into a boss.

I was really disappointed by Sekiro and Elden Ring is a bit
too big and too much running around for my taste.
The story in Lies of P is amazing and it's deep enough to have you intrigued but it's also well told so anyone could get into it without outside help.
I also think almost all of the major bosses are really well done and together with the combat mechanics this game just becomes perfection to me.
It might be difficult to get into for some but I thought Sekiro was too easy so for me it was perfect difficulty wise.

The low score attributed to Demon's Souls is always related to players who never played the OG game back in 2010. The barbaric and authentic atmosphere in the ps3 version is unique and easily supercedes some titles, it deserves a higher spot IMO

Not really. Unless you’re fighting orphan of kos the combat can really be boiled down to diagonal dodging behind an enemy and bullying the hell out of them. The dlc is a phenomenal 10/10 but I’d honestly argue that the base game is the 2nd weakest experience after ds2.

I started with DS3 thinking I would quit. But loved it. Then DS1 was slow n initially did not like it but wow once I got in. It was amazing. Then played DS2, I tried. But at some point I uninstalled the game because it was just that bad for me. But well opinions. Atleast I know I gave it a try

People who think DS2 is bad but DS1 is good are insane to me. There were so many quality of life improvements between those two, DS2 has the most variety in builds, weapons, style, etc, DS2 has the most balanced PVP by a mile, it's the best about preventing roll spam and fixed unfair backstabs, has a better story than 1 or 3, and the areas are insanely overhated because morons try to run through them instead of actually playing through them

@@TroySturdy Because Sekiro is not an RPG, it isn't a souls game. It's a weird hybrid between old assassin's creed and Dark Souls. It's one of the few games I purchased and decided it wasn't worth the effort to "Get Good" at.
You should definitely give it a shot! DS2 is the most realistic feeling which pisses off people because it is really harsh about teaching people not to spam and it isn't as fast as the others but it's pace allows more thought and intention. It also has the most variety in playstyle of any of the games and the only one even close is Elden ring. Also the mobs are literally nothing worse than DS1, people just don't know when to back up rather than run forward like morons.
@@thekillers1stfan Fair point, if the RPG elements are what you enjoy out of souls games then Sekiro is definitely not going to be your cup of tea. Sekiro is purely about combat with basically no RPG elements. However, this is one of the reasons why I enjoy it so much because it focuses on one thing and it does that perfectly. I've never felt better sword fighting in any game, period. I'd still consider it a souls game because the RPG elements are not the heart of what a souls game is about, in my opinion.

I agree with the story and roll spam. All your moves feel methodical, and Ds2 was the last game where maintaining stamina was a major part of gameplay. Ds3 and Elden Ring just got people used to roll spamming, and many of the bosses and areas didnt punish them enough for that. Ds2 absoluty punishes this habit with bosses like fume knight and sir alonne, and people who see Ds2 as a bad game generally are just bad at the game, and use "bad game design" and "oh everyone says this is the worst one so its not my skill" as an excuse. And yeah the story, after watching lore videos (thanks vaatividya) to learn more about it, is fantastic, and imo the best in the series.
I honestly cant put any of them above each other. Have not played Lies of P or Elden Ring yet.
But BB, DS1/DS2/DS3 and Nioh/Nioh 2 are all S Tier for me. Each have positives and negatives.

Ds1s atmosphere is unmatched and the first half of the game up until anor londo is amazing but the second half of the game is abysmal
Yeah there is a huge drop off especially for today's standards, but for it's time it was still revolutionary.
Definitly not abysmal. Sure, the bed of chaos sucks, and lost izalith and demon ruins are unfinished and boring. But New Londo and Dukes Archives were great areas in my opinion and where at the same calliber as the first half. Not sure why so many people decide that the whole "second half" is bad.

Every boss in the base game is a beast boss you stand behind and attack. Farming vials early game sucks. The chalice dungeons suck. The game runs at 30 fps cap and feels terrible. I think the bloodborne defenders need to wake up and realise their game isn't as great as they thought it was 9 years ago.

The game has the best weapons,soundtrack,area design,attention to detail and lore (though that’s arguable with dark souls) of any souls game.
The bosses are beasts but most of them are quite aggressive and well designed. If you had actually played the game you’d know that standing at their legs hacking away is a death sentence as every beats boss has a move made to get you away from their legs. All of Bloodbornes humanoid bosses with the exception of Micolash are among the best human bosses fromsoft has ever put out.
The dungeons do suck but they serve no purpose other than rune farming. the platinum trophy and blood gems so it shouldn’t be counted for the actual game

The old hunters dlc is by far the best fromsoft dlc to date, they nailed everything from the lore to the area design and even the bosses. If the quality of the base game is anything to go off of then it’s extremely unlikely shadow of the erdtree will beat the old hunters

Not everyone prefers the Victiorian style setting that Bloodborne provides. I love the dark fantasy setting of the Dark souls series way more.

farming vials only sucks early game if your bad at the game and constantly need 1000s of them,chalice dungeons are a completely optional area non related to the main experience just like how elden ring does it with its 100s of small side dungeons, sure the 30 fps isn't great but the game still feels great to play the frames are mostly stable and barley ever dip, I think Bloodborne haters like you need to stop being contrarions and so spiteful just cus it's a well deservedly highly regarded game

I'm currently playing dark souls 2 for the first time I recently finished demons souls, dark souls remastered and sekiro and honestly so far dark souls 2 isn't bad.

I've platnumed all except for Demon Souls. Bloodborne by far is the best soulsborne game IMO. For me bloodborne and Elden ring are S tier. DS3, Sekiro and DS1 are A tier.

dark souls 2 was my first souls game so i def have nostalgia for it but i would prob put it at the bottom but its def worth playing and still feels and plays like a souls game

I'm about 2/3 through Lies of P, it's not bad but it's firmly at the bottom of the list for me.
Nice list! I agree with everything except DS2 should be in A tier IMO. DS3 was kind of forgettable to me in many ways but DS2 I remember everything. The art style and world they built there was incredible. Honestly Bloodborne is almost C tier for me simply because it's too dark for my liking. Everything looks the same, and it has too much of a melancholy vibe (I know it was supposed to). I also prefer the slower combat style.

Just finished LOP and it was good, Id say solid 8/10. But to put it above BB is a mistake and wrong. But thats just my opinion, I think Bloodborne is a masterpiece. Im super biased, as it was my entry into fromsoftware and soulsborne games. LOP had a GREAT story, but the game mechanics could be a lot better.
Bb hate needs to stop. Easily the best game fromsoft ever made. Best story best world building great weapons. Great enemies. Some of the best bosses. And most fans 🐺😎

i played bloodborne for the first time last week and finished it. its an amazing game one of the best ive ever played the darkness of this game its really a horror game😂. but ive played also elden ring and i can say bloodborn only weeknes is the bosses. it has some of the greatest bosses sure but most bosess suck really bad.
@@r10magical76 are we taking into account the dlc? The dlc has some of the best bosses in the soulsborne games as a whole. Lady Maria, Ludwig and orphan of Kos are all top 10 soulsborne bosses.
I just beat DS2 and the Dark Souls Trilogy! I still like DS1 the most.
Id say ds3 deserves A tier off of pure boss quality alone. I agree with bloodbourne in b tier fsr. The most overrated souls game by far.

Dark Souls 2 is a great game. I didn’t play it for a long time because everyone hated on it but they’re wrong. You should try it.
I could very well be wrong here, though I feel like perhaps there is some public perception entering your opinion, what I mean is that you went into Bloodborne with all the hype behind it, but as often can happen the hype falls short of the experience which has happened here..
On the flip side there is all the negativity surrounding DS2, where you have followed that negativity and not given it a go.. it's actually not as bad as people will lead you think.. it's not as good as the other games in the FS catalogue, but it;s still good and well worth a play. You’re probably right. Although in one instance (Bloodborne) i didn’t buy into the general public perception. I actually disagreed with it a bit and I think it being so hyped up led me to be underwhelmed.
As for DS2, I did buy into the majority public perception, which in hindsight I think isn’t entirely fair. I have decided I want to give it a shot at some point. Perhaps I’ll update my tier list then.

Id say give Ds2 a try. Skipping it just because people say its bad isnt a good way to go about things, and its not fair. Who knows, you might be one of those people who really love Ds2. Me personally, i really enjoyed my first playthrough. Its still my least favorite of the trilogy, but i dont think its bad. I actually think it has the best story out of the 3. Incredibly based for putting Ds1 above Ds3 though, I love the bosses but it felt like too much fanservice at times lol.

please give ds2 a try it is much better than you think and have heard. it got a bad reputation from people pissed it wasn't just dark souls 1 *again* ignoring that not even dark souls 1 was exactly it's predecessor in demon souls.

You mean everyone? it is a group of players who couldnt git gud and adapt to changes that ds2 has.. ds2 is actually is a great game dude.. play the game first rather formulating opinions of yours based other experience.. its got best dlcs and crazy level design. Always give them try rather bashing a game that has merit on its own.
