I will literally buy a pair or two. I am making a machine that I saw in my dream and I need these glasses to finish it. Think lazy Susan magnetic round plate with 18 neodymium super magnets secured by field on outer edge all the way around about 2 inches above the fixed magnetic plate, the plate spins counter clockwise at 369 rpms and the neodymium super mags spin clockwise in fixed field opposite at 963 rpms there is a melded "fish bowl" in the very center filled with vacuumed toroid plasma and the entire bowl is oscillated at a secret wavelength and the plate and mags are electrified and oscillates at secret frequency amp and wavelength as well. I need the glasses to adjust some of the fields and positioning. I haven't fully succeeded yet.....otherwise I wouldn't be here. :)

I did this and compared to your ferrocell I got a really weak effect. Trying to figure out why. I built it already week ago and got the leds only now. Also In my ferrofluid there may be some soap from my earlier experiment that is possibly weakening the effect or maybe the solution has dried up and is not giving the full effect. Did you ever tried later on with ones you glued in your 3d viewer, do they still fully work? I wonder how long does a ferrocell last if the solution is air proof?

    • @rigelstar99
      @rigelstar99 7 ปีที่แล้ว

The stronger the magnet the stronger the effect. Make sure not to use ceramic magnet. Use strong Neodymium magnet for best effect.

Is it chemical formula can you pleass show me the ferro fluid.... or any related details about ferro fluid... please show me i am waiting...

the ferrofluid is made with iron nanoparticles in oily suspension. no iron filings but microscopic particles, it is difficult to obtain without adequate equipment

Glass and heavy metal are too touchy. How about acrylic?

I tried it, but so big acrylic sheets bend. the day after making the plates were already ruined and full of bubbles

Ferrocells are neet. They are at best magnetic analogs to a hall of mirrors. Magnetic illusions complete with many distorted mirrors.
    Here's a simple experiment:
Step 1. Take two cube magnets only because all faces are the same size, but really, any magnet will work for this experiment. Mark the sides that repell and attract. These are the magnetic poles.
Step 2) Reduce the number of light sources in your ferrocell to one.
Step 3) Place one pole facing down and move the magnet around.
Step 4) Leave the magnet in place and walk around the ferrocell
Step 5) Leave the magnet in place and move the light source.
Repeat steps 3,4, and 5 with anyone of the cube's six nonpole faces on the ferrocell.
Notice the bands of light move with respect to the magnet in steps 3-6. Hint: Neither magnetic field lines nor magnetic equal potentials change their position with respect to an isolated magnet's position in space, your position in space, nor the light source's position in space.
If it is not already obvious, the light line in the ferrocell though effected by magnets do not represent any magnetic field lines, or magnetic equal potentials.
I would hardly characterize ferrocell many light sourced spiraled illusions as "what's actually going on". They are more like magic tricks that fool the observer into believing something that's not real.

Thanks for the suggestion, the effect of which you spoke I noticed during the experimentation even if I did not use a single source of light. It seems you know the ferrocells well, have you built one?
