Rob and Jeff.....as always, great show. Rob, I have to ask (because it's something I see in nearly every video) what's the drink you always have in the pink ccan? I'm genuinely serious. I'm desperately hoping that Mike takes everything from this year, and that they (Mike and John) come up with a legitimate off-season plan. I know you'll be covering it all so I will be here. Thanks again, Rob!
Maybe instead of having a defensive minded HC assistant (Leslie Frazier), they should have gone with offensive minded one. Just reaching at this point, I guess.
Maybe they ultimately should've done that, but there's still a good ceiling there under Macdonald if they can just get an above average OC and even just a league average O-Line. That team could definitely win 11+ games because the defense would be so good. The absolutely shit we have at OC and O-line are just inexcusable!
Ryan Grubb is out of his league. I predict a change a coming. We keep hearing hints coming from HC. It’s obvious he’s not happy with the offensive scheme. Play call.
I remember last year the Bills had issues on offense, namely lacking a balanced attack. They lost a sloppy game to a bad Denver team at home and promoted Joe Brady to the OC. Their offense has been a well oiled machine since then and they have 8 games of 30+ points this season. You should roll the ice on Peetz or look for an experienced OC externally this offseason. Grubb is not the answer and he severely neglects the run game.
Rob, thanks so much for all you do. Happy Christmas! Question for you - what about Shottie for OC? Not sexy but he had a good run game and red zone efficiency. I think he and Mike MacD would be very aligned.
Mike also messed up pretty bad last night w the defense. Didn’t adjust really much tell the game was done. GBs run game was insane and he did nothing to counter that until it was too late. He knew we’re not the heaviest or stoutest front 7 and he left the box as it was and they proceeded to run down our throats

He was saying that he was frustrated with the Falcons and their undying support for Kirk Cousins and how it seemed similar for us and Smith. He went on to tell me that he wishes they would’ve just traded for Justin Fields. He then asked me what my thoughts would be regarding Seattle looking at Justin Fields next year and I personally don’t see it. Please do this unscientific thing. count- one thousand 1 one thousand 2 one thousand 3. Just see and confirm what I'm seeing here, where a decent number of Geno sacks are beyond the (one thousand 2) count. Also, try doing this trick with the opposing QB. Just for fun. That end zone int I counted over 2 seconds probably 2.5 seconds for Geno. 3 of last night's sacks that I could see were over 2.5 maybe 2.8 to three seconds. Here's the deal. I understand this O-line is having pass protection issues. But I am not at all convinced a good QB has no ability to defeat a 2.5 second rush. I'm not saying a QB SHOULD be great with just 2.5 seconds in the pocket. But there is a point where a good top 7 QB is beating a 2.5-2.8 second rush.

Therefore the offense is one dimensional and the line can’t really pass protect either. Grubb is significantly better than any OC the hawks have had in the last 10+ years
@ there’s more to play calling than thinking, “well this seems like the type of play they should call in this situation.” Knowing your personnel and what they are capable of, understanding where you can and can’t attack your opponent, game situation, etc. trailing 17 at half with 0 sign of run success makes it really difficult to continue trying to run.

Good thing we have a random comment on TH-cam to guide us in these dark times….
Doug Peterson did it in two years for the Eagles, Gruden one year in Tampa. They had similar and a worse record than us.
It's not about winning every game, it's about seeing growth and improvement. Yeah, they're gonna lose games. But the erratic play and play calling..? That is what's frustrating. It's not unjust to question the steps taken to arrive at the vision.
I agree, improvement should be happening every week, it doesn't. There are moments of great play, then disappears the following week
Woolen is playing “his” smart game. Why sacrifice his body. When you see your offense being allowed to not improve. He’s maybe hoping he’s gonna get released. Go to a balanced team and have his play count.
Fifth round pick plays poorly to be released instead of cashing in on a huge payday? This take is like woolens tackling...not great.
