How to make Automatic Hand Sanitizer Dispenser | DIY

- Hi All,
In this video we are going to make automatic hand sanitizer dispenser.
The idea behind this is to detect the presence of hand using IR sensor and turn on dc pump to dispense the sanitizer.
This will be useful at every household.

its good, but its better to include timer because it could running with no stop if you put obstacle in front of sensor
Agree👍🏻However i coded in such a way that it should be responsive as long as hand is in front of the sensor . Yup we can code in different way and add delay after each liquid dispensing run.

Sure it’s totally fine. But make sure the liquid soap is good enough liquid because this 5v DC pump might not be able to pump thick liquid. In that case use good capability pump . I will leave it to you . All the best👍🏻
How did you connect in relay to ir sensor with also using led in middle of circuit

Hi there, just wanted to ask if it will continue pumping the sanitizer or if you have put a timer
It will continue pumping the sanitiser as long as hand is in front of the sensor 👍🏻👏🏻
@@hashincludeelectronics can it be designed such that once hand is detected for certain time it should dispense and stop and when hand is detected only it should pump, because kids may keep their hand for long time

Hi, I did this as my project. However, when I on it, the red and green LED is on at the same time. The green LED didn't turn on when I put my hand on the sensor. I checked the circuit, but I'm still not sure what's the problem 😥
Thanks for checking out the video👍🏻Could you please try to adjust the sensitivity knob present on the sensor ? If it does not work then just check the sensor only first if it’s working . Connect 5v to sensor and see if the LED on sensor turns on if you bring hand in front of it . Then make connections step by step . Provide good 5v source adapter which has at least 1A current because dc pump takes more current while starting. I would suggest to go step by step and see if each component works fine .

Excuse me ,me again what do youm mean by all components? for example you said connect ground to all components.Is that a thing in the ir sensor or do you mean connect ground to all of the component's Grounds?

My prob is red LED and relay red LED keeps blinking but the ir sensor don't work. Also the waterpump. What should I do what is the problem

Yeah it’s just 5v water pump . It’s white as well .

Did you check the IR sensor if it’s led glow when you bring your hand near it ? If there no hand then the led should be off . Also which relay is this ? Is it low level triggered or high level triggered ?

Hello , i followed your circuit diagram and did all things properly . Now the problem is that the sensor is working but the motor is not working . Also there's no issue in motor when checked directly

Helloo! I'm only secondary student and planning to do this as my project and I'm confused how you jumper connection on another 2 connection while you only use one jumper?? I don't know if you get my point, however, do you remove the insulator of the jumper to combine the another jumper? I'm confused 😵

@@Komui5555 then May be just cut the wires and use those . It’s just a power supply and you can connect wires normally . Like red and black wires .

Hello once again! My teacher ask me how does it word like electricity to ir sensor to water pump but I don't really know the whole function, components by components, If ever you have a time .. can you tell me the function from flowing the electricity to dispense sanitizer??? I really need it☺️☺️☺️

I want make a dispenser for my home. Your video is good enough for me. However i have one question. Will it turn off automatic , or i have to remove hand for cut off the dispenser circuit ?
Thanks for checking out video 👍🏻. Yup you have to remove your hand as programmed. But you can change this in code if you want to cut off dispenser after some delay .

sir can u explain connections with clarity in description....i had completed the whole process for project , but the ir sensor is not working & the sanitizer is being dispensed when power gets ON
You need to calibrate the IR sensor . If you bring hand near sensor then the sensor LED should be turned on . When there is no hand then Sensor LED should be off. There is knob on sensor and you need to adjust it.
Good evening, I tried making this using Ultrasonic sensor and by attaching a hose, but there seems to be a problem. Whenever I try to put the battery, it automatically starts pumping however, after that it functions normally. Can you tell me what went wrong? Thank you!
